Jack is old tech and none mobile phone should have it 😂😂😂 and before you say headphone with jack sounds better on mobile phone you should find out how sound conventers in mobil e phones work. 😅

Reasons this phone stands out to me: No screen cutouts/notches, front facing speakers, headphone jack, and expandable storage. Apart from maybe slightly longer software support, this is the total package.

It is unfortunate but it was probably not worth it. In the US they push Samsung, Apple some cheap brands.

@@ubacow7109 its because the donkeys are Sony didnt enable the dacs high perf mode. Literally just small change in kernel code, but that would give you less reason to buy a new one so don't expect Sony to release dat.

Sony finally knows their advantages. It is definitely beneficial to use mobile phones as a balance between professional tools and technology demonstrations to increase battery life and reduce heat generation.
This time, it seems that Xperia has lowered the resolution to FHD+...I hope that from next time onwards, it will at least support up to WQHD+. In addition, you can specify the resolution settings in detail, and you can also select an automatic adjustment mode that allows you to change the priority of highest image quality, game performance, battery life, etc. I want.
This is good marketing. Xiaomi and Samsung just flexes their megapixels, while sony actually has features to show off.
Xperia and good marketing don't go in the same sentence they sell under 1 million units a year.
And Sony boost displays from 4K to 1080p. Good job Sony. I could not wait for a new one sens my 1IV is 2y old now, but they have to ruin it. 1400€ device with 1080. Good.

me too. hope they will add a telelens 80mm or so again . the 60mm in the iv was downgrade from even the 5ii that i am using. maybe not in quality but in specs

agreed. although i never had the 1 series i have the 5ii and 21:9 is just so nice
21:9 are sucks, too much black bar, the left & right edge its doesn't show much information when watching livestreams 16:9, including sucks when watching youtube contents 16:9
Would have been phone of the year for me if it was qhd+ . But there's always something missing with sony
I still have the Xperia 1. Super excited during the announcements, was what I was waiting for to upgrade. Looks like it was just a dream. I'm forced to go to elsewhere... And I hated my pixel before I had Xperia 1.

2. Price
Imagine what you could achieve releasing it with 950$. It could've been the new birth of Sony.
Who cares 1080p or 4K, when with this display you get huge battery life improve, that'd not TV, it's phone, people😅

Look around for deals, actually in my country (where deals are rare normally) you can get it for that price in a contract.

Fantastic improvement
You are a good sales man. Although the fact how amazing this phone is makes your job easier. This phone is perfect in every respect for me (well a notification LED would have been really nice, maybe for the next iteration), unfortunately it's just too expensive for now. But if it gets a meaningful discount towards the end of the year, more than likely I will be getting one (and give my current 10 iv to my father).
Have they said anything about a V version for this year? I like the smaller more compact version.

I almost bought this but then at the last minute I found out that this one doesn't have 4k resolution like the previous model. I understand that some would rather have a longer battery life but I don't.

They could give people what spec of micro sd card is best for the device. Does it support A2 micro SD features for example

I really don't like the fact that no more 21.9 aspect ratio and no more 4k screen , eventho rest of the specs are good
The 21:9 is understandable but why you need the 4K, do you know the ewal world noticeable differences at all?
Can I ask you always will choose pixels that you even can't see by eyes over battery health?

Very nice video. I did not hear you mention anything about software updates? Last year, the Xperia 1 V came with 2 years of updates. Has Sony taken any steps towards this way of saving the environment? They are all about zero waste packaging and the internals were built with recycled plastics, but are there any improvements for us to keep our phones for longer than 2 years this time? Hope to hear back.
Hello, I watched 43 Xperia 1 VI videos. Why has no one continuously zoomed from 0 mm to 170 mm in video mode? I'm very curious about the lens transitions, are they smooth or choppy?
Pretty Impressive, well done by Sony this looks promising and of all the features discussed in the video I just love that they chose to keep 3.5 mm jack. I hope i'll be launched in India at competitive price.
I asked them they told we are ceased the operation in India, but if it launches the price would be around 1.5lakh
It could have been better keeping a 4k screen and adding a 6000 mAh battery.

Sony need to attract consumers first.
It's not in high position for compete directly to Apple and Samsung even Xiaomi or Huawei and Honor.

I'm a Sony Xperia user since the Xperia x8 and every single one I've got since then (x10, xperia Arc, Z1, Z3 compact, XZ compact and premium, Xperia V, Xperia 1II and Xperia V iii) and the best feature of them all is that they are all still functioning today, with the last tree still in use, I'm not talking about sporadically use but every day use and this is a feature that no reviewer can give with their 3 day use for phone
How many years of software support?

Love the idea of 2 day battery life... I've got a Sony Xperia premium that's around 7 years old and it's still going strong.... Just need to charge every day (sometimes have to top up twice a day!).... Would highly recommend Sony Xperia.... Would LOVE to have the new mark VI.... Have to start saving up so!!! Camera looks awesome!
Please add Desktop mode similar to the Samsung DEX mode.

I'm a Sony user since the Sony Erricson era, then going through Xperia S until now Xperia 1, but nowadays I can't support Sony anymore due to the ridiculous price tag😢. My only option is to buy used Sony when they're at a fragment of it's price.
Sony listened to MKBHD’s advice on everything…except the price hahaha. Still a great phone though. Will wait and see what the price will be in a few months time

The best feature to be honest is the 3.5mm jack man I'm in serious concern with my phone now if my bluetooth earphones run out of battery I wait for hours especially when travelling and I love the care given to the telephoto + cam app
In the past I was concerned about the headphone jack, but since the plandemic, I've been going to the gym and using wired headphones is TERRIBLE. I've been using my XM2(just died, stopped working) ;-(( and now XM5s at the gym with the freedom to walk around without having to carry the phone on my body.
When will u launch the mobile in India...?
The only thing missing from this near perfect phone is some slow motion capabilities (at least FHD 240fps not 120 fps!)

Please don't give up on the 21:9 aspect ratio 😢. I love it soo much. It's amazing for split screen. Also gives a lot of extra space next to the camera view when taking photo's. And the narrower format makes it fit nicer in my pockets
