Just a note on some of the comments regarding "rudeness" .. Here is what I know ... after being married to an American man for many years and spending time with his family and friends .. Australian's. .. women in particular seem to come across rude .. Most of the time it is not rude to us .. we are just a lot more direct in our approach ....our accent also plays a part in this .. but I am not sure to what degree. If you meet many Aussie men .. you will understand why this can sometimes be necessary ... This video is a perfect example ... they are apathetic about the product for sure .. as most of us are .. however, the rudeness u think you are hearing .. is mostly our very dry sense of humour .. with a sprinkle of sarcasm .. I don't speak for everyone obviously .. but just something to keep in mind .. Most Americans I know .. find me a little rude and confronting initially .. until they see that my intention is good ..it's just the delivery ... we don't sugar coat things as much ...not everyone's cup of tea .. but I like it and prefer it over bullshit fake ass people.
You're completely right! We were just making jokes and having a laugh and not indending to be rude at all! It must be a cultural thing because I think many US youtubers are rude because they just come across as arrogant.
Rebekah I'm an American with a sarcastic and dry sense of humor, so I get it, too. People on the internet don't always understand that it's all in jest.
being American, I can say that dealing with the arrogance of other Americans on a daily basis makes me feel like I'm standing in a round room looking for a corner to scream in.
I've noticed that, that Australians come off as rude to me and I have to remind myself while watching these videos that it's a cultural difference. And btw, American UA-camrs are arrogant. I'm American and they come off to me as arrogant. Especially popular ones who think ppl care what they do every second of everyday. Haha!
Tiny request: could you perhaps add the brand/name of the nail polishes you wear in your videos? Every time I watch you guys I get serious polish-envy :)
dotty roads I will always stand by the NYX primary colors pressed pigments for bright neon shades. Cheap and a m a z i n g. If I'm going for a dramatic smokey eye and I want to darken my crease, I'll literally barely tap the tip of my brush into the black and it's enough for both eyes. Seriously incredible. I only wish they had a white shade, idk why they don't. But I have every colour
I love that you guys are such good friends and are always honest in your reviews. I love your guys honesty and all around humor. I greatly enjoy your guys videos and I admire the time and effort you put into them, also I love the fact that you guys work together as a team rather than making one do all the work while the other does nothing in the background. Thank you ladies for making something I genuinely enjoy.
When Kat put the eyes to hers it reminded me of Sid from Ice Age 😂 I love the idea of being able to split a pallet, me and my friend always split foundations so we don't waste money buying one and end up hating or whatever 🙄 thank god for deporting!
Repressing really allows you to see how good the quality actually is - becuase in comparison, the Jeffree Star Beauty Killer palette came out fine after it was repressed. The Kylie eye shadows just look pretty cheap tbh. Nice colours, but cheap.
I love that even though you guys didn't give two fucks about this pallet you still created content to appease your viewers requests. You guys are the best.
You could totally recreate this palette with Inglots freedom system, I made one on the website but am unable to afford it right now but the shades are literally almost exact
I feel like that a lot of people would or have bought the palette for the blue shade and it's incredibly disappointing that even the new palette swatch of it is so disappointing.
Definitely useful to do this type of video. Especially when thinking about expensive palettes because friends could potentially split up the product payment which would sting a little less. I know for a fact there are some quality palettes I want to try but are way too expensive...awesome video
OMG I WAS DYING AT THE "RED ROCKET" Comment!!!! I'm an EMT and one time a fireman conned another guy I worked with for my #. I had no idea who was trying to send me an EXTREMELY unsolicited dick pic one day and ended up naming the loser 'red rocket' bcof the eye sore. It was embarrassing for him and he almost lost his job when the brass herd rumblings from the guys over what the boot did to a sweet little EMT. it's been roughly 10yrs and the guy is still branded! Lol everyone refers to that Dbag as red 🚀. Love you girls!!! Thank you for doing what you do and never loose who you are. Keep up the good work! 😘
Making 2 palettes out of 1! My goodness, you girls are geniuses, I fucking LOVE IT! And as usual, Haylie you're giving me some serious nail envy again...Lovely.
i don't know why y'all got so much hate from kylie fans. despite the fact y'all don't like the palette or kylie, I'm glad y'all debunked the more damaging claim that the eyeshadows themselves smelled toxic. I'm honestly shocked that the brush didn't also smell like glue bc the colourpop brushes (at least their first batch) smelled so strong of glue, i had to let them air out for like 2 weeks before i could use them
Not related to the video but both of these makeup looks are beautiful! That olive eyeshadow is amazing Kat! And I'm obsessed with your lip color Hailey!
i loved this video and its sister video. they were entertaining and hilarious. I've always thought the Kylie stuff was for privileged teenage girls and you've just confirmed that opinion. Thanks for saving me money and being so entertaining.
It is interesting that the metallics were pressing so nicely because in her previous palettes, that is what was lacking. Without fix plus, they were meh.
I love these videos. They are my relaxation at work. The more you cuss, the more I enjoy. I will still never understand why people come and complain about waste. It is DESTROYING MAKEUP. What the fuck do you expect? Click another video or do a google search if all you want is a review.
i can use my TV and UA-cam watching time to repress. I rarely pan my shadows...sharing is a great idea! wonder if this would work for powder blushes and highlighters?
Splitting between 2 people is brilliant (not this shit palette though). And for those who don't like them, then dont fucking watch them! You know the drill with that!
But why isn't it "2 girls 1 palette" 😂 missed throwback viral clickbait reference opportunity right there. Totally unsurprised the shadows sucked...if you were going to repress into two palettes, I think mini pans are available ^_^
Late to the party, but have you ever considered using communion cups for your mixing? You can get them pretty cheap from church supply shops. They are a little smaller than the ones you use and might be easier to mix in.
.do not let people get you down, I don’t care what brand it is these videos are amazing, it sucks people flip out over an opinion when really they could not watch the video ha ha ha, keep it up gorgeous ladies.
This is such a good idea! I'd be too scared to do it but it's brilliant! Teenagers or anyone more budged conscious could split the palette and cost with a friend. It make kat von d happy cuz it's not a dupe and it might cut down on theft. My Ulta has a lot of shop lifters. ☹️ impressed! Also amazing nail polish color 😍
Not sure if you have already done this, but can you do a repressed palette drop test? :D Like you have two identical palettes, one untouched and one repressed back into its original palette, and drop them at several heights. ORRR possibly, also do some repressed with different binding (?) agents such as the mousse/alcohol/etc that you normally use and compare which is best. Curious to see if and how much repressing affects structural integrity. Thank you!!!! :)
Those mattes reminded me of the interview Stephanie Nicole did with Viseart & Muse Beauty a fee days ago. Apparently mattes can be tricky because they can need specific tensions when pressing. Press too hard and you wont be able to pick up the shadow, press too soft and it'll crack easily (if I remember correctly).
You guys should do one of the lorac palettes :) They seem like quality eye shadows, and it would be interesting to see how they perform after repressing them.
Ok so this might be a silly question but did you buy smaller pans for the re-pressing or did you use the same size as the original pans and just not fill them all the way to the top?
I don't use makeup often but what I've got on hand wasn't cheap. However, seeing as I've had most of it from the 80's, it probably isn't fit to use anyway. But the cases were really pretty!
Could you guys maybe start saying who's hands are who's because I had to go the the beggining to see what color your nails were to know who was mixing the eye shadows????
Normally you girls say the quality of the product doesn't change if you repress it, (and from previous videos I can see it usually doesn't), so why were the mattes so awful afterwards?
i used to spray alcohol on my makeup to "sanitize" it but i did notice the pigmentation would get really light just like these repressed shadpws....any advice of how to get the shadow to perform more pigmented?
Does the product go back to the same as before if I accidentally put too much isopropyl alcohol? I recently fixed a blush and the pigment just isn't the same
NGL, I get a bit of anxiety when you destroy the things, but there's something very therapeutic about watching you guys scrape it to be repressed. Also, I see the inglot z palette - do you guys find that the magnetism on that can be kind of wonky? Mine won't hold my MAC eyeshadows in properly.
While it's important to not be wasteful, people are insane with how they respond to these videos. You guys obviously try to save as much as you can from the things you destroy, but it's not a perfect process 🤷 I think you guys are doing great
I enjoy your destroying videos. But what I enjoy more ist your opinion on the products. I would never buy Kylie Make-up. She seems stupid and doesn't inspire me and the last thing in the world that I want, is to be like her. In addition I think, that her stuff is bad quality and to expensive. I can't understand the hype about her stuff. I think people just are trying hard to sell their things. So thank you Beauty News for your honest little review. I appreciate it! XX
So I've read that metallics need more pressure to when being pressed, and mattes need slightly less. Not trying to be rude! I was just wondering if you ever take that into consideration when you repress palletes. Obvious yours still perform (for the most part) exactly the same as before, just curious if that's a factor you guys think about at all.
We do take that into account. That is more of a trial and error thing though and its hard to determine until you repress it and notice that it is too firm, I would then repress it with less pressure.
I will forever call the Royal Peach Palette 'Ol Smelly'. I know that Beauty News figured out it was the glue used in the palette itself instead of the eyeshadow, but this one will never escape its stink scandal. xD

It is a cultural thing :) that's basically all I needed to say but the "word" alluded me lol ...
Rebekah I'm an American with a sarcastic and dry sense of humor, so I get it, too. People on the internet don't always understand that it's all in jest.

The Makeup Breakup: Saving my ass from wasting money 😂 thank you guys for making these!!
Karina LMAO Tracy Martel
Tiny request: could you perhaps add the brand/name of the nail polishes you wear in your videos? Every time I watch you guys I get serious polish-envy :)
Every time is it gel polish with chrome pigment buffed into it
That blue is so disappointing.
Elizabeth Carney The blue is the only shade I had any interest in though.
dotty roads I will always stand by the NYX primary colors pressed pigments for bright neon shades. Cheap and
a m a z i n g.

NYX is amazing and gets so little respect. I seriously love their brand. Elf is improving, too with their skincare. That has my attention! #TeamNYX
BK Lulu I use NYX regularly.
Doink Didonk those have HORRIBLE reviews from many people. They're labeled one of NYX's worst products
I love that you guys are such good friends and are always honest in your reviews. I love your guys honesty and all around humor. Hannah Leanne im not usually a grammar nazi but..... "Thank god for deporting?" Smh u sound like a trump supporter
Destinie Taco Thank God for deporting!
Hannah Leanne I'm so dark compared to my friends, I could never share the same foundation colour! 👩🏾👩🏼😂😒
Repressing really allows you to see how good the quality actually is - becuase in comparison, the Jeffree Star Beauty Killer palette came out fine after it was repressed. The Kylie eye shadows just look pretty cheap tbh. Nice colours, but cheap.
1:26 woopsie daisy
I died. You guys are the best!
I feel like Hugh Grant in Notting Hill 😂
You should do Anastasia Beverly Hills lip palette next 😊
VSDaisy06 YESSS I LOVE THIS IDEA
VSDaisy06 yes please
I had never thought about sharing a palette before. I wonder if the Viseart Palette would re-press without compromising quality? Hmmm...
mestargazr I'm wondering the same thing! I've been swooning over the new warm mattes palette but joy wallet keeps saying no, lol.
Rebecca G-mestargazr Natasha denona!
I love that even though you guys didn't give two fucks about this pallet you still created content to appease your viewers requests. You guys are the best.
Thanks Sarah! We appreciate that people are excited to see stuff so we are always happy to take suggestions :) xx
Getting out of the psychiatry, first UA-cam video is this... this actually made me happy
layla2000 I hope you're doing okay❤❤
Have you ever tried mixing different eyeshadow colors before pressing it?
Would it fully blend? 🤔
Rehab Ghazi guess not...
Rehab Ghazi they repressed that? Just looked like they mixed it in the ramekin and that's it
You could totally recreate this palette with Inglots freedom system, I made one on the website but am unable to afford it right now but the shades are literally almost exact
We can't afford to make palettes just for demonstration purposes, we won't use it because we don't love these shades to begin with.
Oh I know, I was just saying it for people reading the comments haha
Very true x
In the repressed palette the mattes seemed worse but the shimmers seemed better! Great idea to repress in to two palettes!
the blue looks so pretty in the pan but it applies terribly oml
the mattes are shittier repressed but they were already shitty to begin with.
Jenn Nguyen do you even own it? If you haven't touched it yourself don't talk crap
Haley 'Jonas' what are you talking about that was the whole point of the video, to show how bad the shadows are
Wynter McGee I own the palette and it’s not as bad as they make it look. That’s what I’m talking about
yes they're usable but why buy them when there are cheaper and more pigmented palettes out there. AND better customer service.
I feel like that a lot of people would or have bought the palette for the blue shade and it's incredibly disappointing that even the new palette swatch of it is so disappointing.

Dub Di it's sad that things like that happen at all. but especially in professional and religious places. I mean cmon now😭😭
You should do a video where you destroy palettes where you hate the formula and see if they improve when repressed
can y'all destroy the tartelette in bloom eyeshadow palette?
like if y'all agree
I love mine, but I'd love to see what it looks like destroyed bc the formula just doesn't seem consistent in the pallet.
Sissanee ❤️❤️
I love your nails, Hailey. They look so perfect. I was staring at them while you guys were having fun destroying this shit. Haha.
Your channel is fascinating..I came across it a couple of hours ago and I can't stop watching your videos. Happy new subscriber
Welcome Andrea. So glad you enjoy our videos xx

This one actually didn’t smell as bad as the first batch. So the thing about does the shadows smell toxic is not really guaranteed.
The repressing is my favourite. I love watching it come back together 💖💖
Beauty News marathon tonight...Ta ladies and love from UK xx

I love watching you guys break stuff, it's so satisfying.
I love this series!
Not related to the video but both of these makeup looks are beautiful! That olive eyeshadow is amazing Kat! And I'm obsessed with your lip color Hailey!
I could see splitting like the natasha denona pallets those are good shadows but too expensive!
i loved this video and its sister video. they were entertaining and hilarious. I've always thought the Kylie stuff was for privileged teenage girls and you've just confirmed that opinion. Thanks for saving me money and being so entertaining.
Thanks for the lovely comment x
Never clicked a video so fast 💕
I have the pallete myself and I actually really like it. The colors blend super easy. But maybe it's just me. Loved the video btw 🙂
Mk Kylie mine is on its way & im super sad about all the hate with this palette!
Mk Kylie
From what I heard, it's not that the palette is horrible, just not the best and that the quality doesn't justify the packaging & price.
I'm glad someone on the Internet is willing to do this because God knows I would be sobbing at destroying makeup that I spent my money on XD
APATHY IS A FEELING 😂😂
It is interesting that the metallics were pressing so nicely because in her previous palettes, that is what was lacking. Without fix plus, they were meh.
"We fucked it up royaly" dead 😂
LOVE both videos, great idea to split them up .. also, I tend to like the videos better when y'all are super sassy and snarky 😜
I rarely pan my shadows...sharing is a great idea! wonder if this would work for powder blushes and highlighters?
this is such a good idea! i might do this for expensive palettes with a friend. now to get my hands on some pans and isopropyl alcohol
Hi I am a new subscriber to your channel and I really love watching the break up makeup series videos💕
Splitting between 2 people is brilliant (not this shit palette though).
And for those who don't like them, then dont fucking watch them! You know the drill with that!
Chrystal Woolf that last part sounds like mannys intro lol
Amy Hernandez that's exactly what i was thinking ahaha
Amy Hernandez cause it is 🤦♂️🤦♂️
This just earned a sub 👏 I love this and I love you guys!
I love you ladies soooo much! Your honesty is awesome. So is your clear disdain for "KYLIE"KRAP. 😜
KylieKrap... Trademark.. Copyright! xoxoxox
BEAUTY NEWS : You've got it! I share the disdain! All proceeds to you 😘💋
Love ya both so!
But why isn't it "2 girls 1 palette" 😂 missed throwback viral clickbait reference opportunity right there. Totally unsurprised the shadows sucked...if you were going to repress into two palettes, I think mini pans are available ^_^
Haha maybe we will need to create a new series and call it that
Late to the party, but have you ever considered using communion cups for your mixing? You can get them pretty cheap from church supply shops. They are a little smaller than the ones you use and might be easier to mix in.
Thats actually a really good idea to destroy it and split it between two pans so you can share it. I usually never hit pan on most shadows I have.
.do not let people get you down, I don’t care what brand it is these videos are amazing, it sucks people flip out over an opinion when really they could not watch the video ha ha ha, keep it up gorgeous ladies.
i enjoy these video a lot, it was interesting seeing what palettes look like inside!
Curious to see if and how much repressing affects structural integrity. Thank you!!!! :)

Press too hard and you wont be able to pick up the shadow, press too soft and it'll crack easily (if I remember correctly).
Yes that is correct. If you repress a matte and it doesn't perform well then you can always repress it again with less or more pressure
Love this series 🙌🏻💕✨
You guys should do one of the lorac palettes :) They seem like quality eye shadows, and it would be interesting to see how they perform after repressing them.
Beauty News has the sickest burns.
Ok so this might be a silly question but did you buy smaller pans for the re-pressing or did you use the same size as the original pans and just not fill them all the way to the top?
thumbelina0013 I was wondering how much the other hold as well
Generally pans are one standard size but they are half filled now
thumbelina0013 they did not fill them all the way to the top
What is the little knob looking tool you're using to press them into the pans??
Zoë Yarymowich depotting tool
Can you order the empty metal pans online? This might be something to look into for the higher end eyeshadow like inglot or viseart.
Yes you can
What's that sponge thing at 4:08 to press the eyeshadows perfectly in the pan? Where can you buy it and how do you call it?
I love these videos... They are the best
do the kylighters pleaseee
What are you guys using to press the shadows down? Do you have different tools for different pans?
"we f*ucked it up royaly" 😂😂 ture Aussie right there lol
The blue/purple nail polish is life!! Where's it from?
I'd love to see this repress with the ColorPop cream shadows.
I buy expensive palettes and they end up in my sisters makeup bag. Does that count as a shared palette?
where did you buy your nail polish i love it!
Can you compare the BadHabit pallets to the duped ABH pallets??
Normally you girls say the quality of the product doesn't change if you repress it, (and from previous videos I can see it usually doesn't), so why were the mattes so awful afterwards?
Probably because of the poor quality of the matte shadows
Thanks for answering. Now I kind of want to see a comparison between this and repressing budget drugstore shadows. :)
Both of their lip shades are bomb what are they gimme
will u break tge huda eyeshadow paleete n what do u do after destrying the makeup
Is it possible to remove the actual pans for depotting instead of repressing them?
i used to spray alcohol on my makeup to "sanitize" it but i did notice the pigmentation would get really light just like these repressed shadpws....any advice of how to get the shadow to perform more pigmented?
Does the product go back to the same as before if I accidentally put too much isopropyl alcohol? I recently fixed a blush and the pigment just isn't the same
revlon contour palette please please please and possibly comparing to a high end contour palette?
Is there a dupe for that bright green shadow?
what is the name of the purple polish on ur nails I love it
I thought the colors of the palette had a playful feel to it but when swatched some came out patchy which was disappointing
So where dis u girls get the object that you use to repress the shadows id like me one of those.
I always find your videos so satisfying, love it! But why did you guys cut of the destroying part?, that's the best.
Ooooh it's part 2. My bad ❤
It's in a separate video
The repressing looks like so much fun! I’d almost destroy one of my cheap palettes just to repress 😂
While it's important to not be wasteful, people are insane with how they respond to these videos. You guys obviously try to save as much as you can from the things you destroy, but it's not a perfect process 🤷 I think you guys are doing great
so the quality changed only slightly? or the same as before?
When you said wet sand I thought of the Red Hot Chili Peppers
Looks like the mattes lost pigmentation after repressing too?
I enjoy your destroying videos. But what I enjoy more ist your opinion on the products. I would never buy Kylie Make-up. She seems stupid and doesn't inspire me and the last thing in the world that I want, is to be like her. In addition I think, that her stuff is bad quality and to expensive.
I can't understand the hype about her stuff. I think people just are trying hard to sell their things. So thank you Beauty News for your honest little review. I appreciate it! XX
Girrrrrrl what is that nail polish? That purple tho, making Christine proud!
Hahaha love Christine!! It's just a gel polish with a chrome powder buffed in to it
I thought that might be the case. You guys are awesome keep doing what you do!
That is more of a trial and error thing though and its hard to determine until you repress it and notice that it is too firm, I would then repress it with less pressure.
can you do the givemeglowcosmetics staple palette (when it comes out of course)
what is the name of the liquid you's use to repress the powder with? and where can you buy it
Lou Weir that is just icyprphl alcohol
I will forever call the Royal Peach Palette 'Ol Smelly'. I know that Beauty News figured out it was the glue used in the palette itself instead of the eyeshadow, but this one will never escape its stink scandal. xD
What is that duo chrome powder called?????
curious: did the re-pressing change the smell of this palette? Or was it really the packaging when it all dried out? Thanks.
It was definitely the smell of the palette
that's what I thought. Yuck.
What similar palette do you recommend? Love from Mexico ♡
probably to make your own with Makeup Geek, Inglot, MAC or Anastasia Beverly Hills
