Cutting your own long hair is EASY and takes only about 1 minute!!!
I decided to save a bike ride trip to the hair dresser since it was very hot outside (up to 110F). By avoiding the trip I realized that I can cut my own hair and save both money and time as well as avoid inhaling or absorbing toxic chemicals used for washing, styling...
For me it is important to use the most eco-friendly product, including free from disposable plastic packaging.

The palm oil comes from about 1,000 acres of smallholdings in Ghana (where there are no orangutans) that were established decades ago. I use this soap for multiple purposes. And it is packaged in recycled paper!
Hair conditioner alternative - Organic Vinegar.
I use organic apple cider vinegar. As a conditioner can be used almost any vinegar. Note: most white vinegars (if not organic) made from GMO corn in USA.

Thanks for sharing. I have been searching the internet on for a couple years now on how to cut U shape instead of a shape V in the back. THANK YOU SO MUCH. I will try this out soon :D can't wait. And I agree with you that washing hair should not be every day. My previous hair dressers advised me to watch every 3 day or as long as I can go without. I do have a oily scalp and curly hair so it can get oily if I straighten my hair out or dry when it is curly but stays oily on the top on my head. Anyways, you are great. God bless
Thank you for the info. Not everyone has the money to go to a salon for a cut. Some people through no fault of there own have to have a strict budget. And the tip for washing hair is great! Many , many , many companies put chemicals that can cause cancer in there hair care products. It's very hard to find safe products to get clean. Thank you.

That was good fast and easy . Funny to I only wash my hair maybe ones a week or week 1/2 it will make it dry and it will fall out .if you wash to much. Money money yap thanks.

Can you please tell me if you use full strength apple cider vinegar or do you dilute the vinegar with water and then apply to hair? Thanks!
I delude vinegar with water. About 1 Tbsp of vinegar to about 2 cups of water. I do not measure exactly, I just splash a little bit of vinegar into the stainless steel cup. Pour slowly on your head/hair and rinse. You can use any kind of vinegar (white, rice..), I just like to use organic, since most of non-organic white vinegars made from GMO (genetically modified organism) corn.

Yes, it is true. For me (based on my diet, lifestyle...) my hair looks good/clean/non greasy, for about a week. Then I judge when I will wash next.

I prefer to apply critical thinking and skepticism (evidence before acceptance) I do not believe a doctor simply because they say so, "because I said so", "because I'm a doctor". I do not automatically put "doctors" on an inerrant 'know it all' pedestal and therefore request valid and verifiable evidence to back up their claims before I will accept.
Did this doctor provide any empirical medical science evidence to back their claim?

EcoPeaceful the reason why you should wash your hair every other day is because your hair needs to produce its natural oils. by it doing so it will grow stronger and less dry compared to washing it everyday. if you wash your hair everyday it wont have enough time to produce the oils it needs to not get dry. your hair need moisture. like your skin for example; if you constantly wash it al ot of times, your skin will dry out. i once washed my hair everyday and it got a lot dryer and i didnt even know it until i started washing it every other day; now my hair is a lot less dry. its good to let your hair breath from all the water because when you wash your hair the water is striping away its natural oils. it has been proven :) start washing your hair every other day, its much better and healthy for your hair and your hair will love it
