Pretty darn good video. I'm attempting the plugs, started today. Key detail is you have to bend down those two brackets in the front in order to lift the front and pull forward to get the bolts out of the back bracket. I'm sure I'll get the cover off, not sure if I'll get it back on!
Thank you so much for the shared video Mr. Danial. I need number four to be replaced on 2019, I’m so sorry but would you mind giving me n idea that how much should be the cost of labour for it?
Thanks for the vid Daniel. Q: Where can I find the mass air flow sensor? Got the engine light on with a po174 error code and, it's just not where you would expect to find it. Thank!
My 2015 Dodge Ram 1500 was easy to change the three spark plugs on the passenger side. I’m struggling with replacing the other three due to the fact that the whole intake manifold has to come off. It’s a 3.6L motor. FML.
Jesus that is insane, I'm a mechanic that is just a ridiculous design. I have a promaster seems like I own a nightmare. Italians just can't make things easy.
OK got them all changed now having problem getting the plenum to seat in a manner that allows the back two threaded studs become accessible to the bracket that they are supposed to go into, any thoughts... mine is that I bent the bracket when I pushed on it to get it off
Coil pack comes off with a 10mm. Spark plug is a 5/8. It helps if you have a magnetic socket for the spark plug. If it falls out of the socket you may lose the gap. The gap should be 0.43
Appreciate the video! There are not many videos on the Promaster removing the intake manifold. You mentioned you could get to cylinder 3 without removing it... are you able to get to cylinder 1 without removing it? I have to replace cylinder 1 coils (spark plug was replaced a few months ago)
It’s a good video but you jiggled that intake like a thousand times lol before deciding to just leave it in there . Actually most of the video is you talking what you were going to do. Just funny
Would be a good video if you set the video camera to manual focus so the video is always in focus. The auto focus is very distracting. And I always wonder why people would post such annoying videos, Shake, out of focus, showing video that doesn't have a darn thing to do with the subject at had. Other wise, okay video.
This other at home mechanic did his and showed video and it took him 6.5hrs. For friggin plugs. What a joke. Why would Dodge be so incompetent. I wanted a FORD transit high roof but a year ago my dealership had none or any used and any incoming where already bought and they couldn't find any new within 100miles of me so I had to go with a Ram Promaster. Never Again.

Yup, DIY. Just touched 70k and a little rough. All filters new so plugs are next. Kind of figured it’s a lot of ‘fun’ getting to the back 3.
I love my promaster, 2018 1500 high top. But lord, I miss working on the old Dodge slant six.
They definitely aren't getting any easier to work on
Thanks for the share, always nice to have an idea of what you are up against when you're DIY'ing.
This is one of those "bite the bullet" jobs and you pay the dealerships certified mechanics to change them. I'm not spending 6 hours on plugs.

in italy they dont have v6, they have 4 cyl deisel. much smaller engine

coil pack? socket size same? plug gap? lots of details I wish to know.
I'm just here to help with what I have time for I'm sure you can do a quick Google search to answer all of your questions.

Why do they never have spark plugs more accessible?
I'm talking uncovered running along the side of the engine block.
Because it's not rear wheel drive...
There is a Spanish version full details, just look for 2015 ram promaster Como cambiar las bujias
Brooooooo Its a good video but no espanish

I dont believe you can get to that cylinder with out removing the intake.
Note to self, do not buy Promaster.
Yes
I'll pay someone nah

I actually jiggled it 1026 times. But the real question is did the video help?

What a nightmare only to change spark plugs
