Btw I think, and this is only my guess, the lyrics got kinda a tribute or some inspiration from Attack On Titan (Shingeki No Kyojin) anime series, the more i hear the lyrics the more i'm convinced, you heard it here first! Welcome back. 🦊I think you're right, as they did on Metal Galaxy Moa is backing Su up, providing more harmonies rather than coming in with obvious and contrasting chants etc the way she and Yui did when they were younger. Her vocals have matured just as Su's have matured. The electronic sounds and the more pop leaning songs on the Metal Galaxy album were mainly concentrated on the first side of the album (the light side). The second (or dark) side had a lot less of that and moved back towards the more metal end of the sliding BABYMETAL scale. That was a deliberate choice for that album and each song on the light side had its equivalent or opposite number on the dark side. For example each side had its own intro song ('Future Metal' light and 'In The Name Of' dark). I think this first song is a great start - there really is no way of knowing if the rest of the songs will follow the same sort of sound and structure etc .... but historically we know each song has been different to the one before. I would say the chances are that will continue and they will surprise us with the next song they release in November.

And I personally appreciate that last inflection on the last chanting part... which is awesome! (already practicing to sing it live LoL) What I think? I love this song from the very first time I listen to it. And that's very rare on me. Well structured, elegant, cool drum & bass parts, nice symphonic touch, some heavy riffing and, of course Su's mind-blowing vocals. To me, this is the perfect comeback and a nice way to open the concept album. Notice that Su-metal is credited among the song writers of the lyrics for the first time. That's a really big achievement and (in her words) a dream to her. So, I'm extremely happy for her and so proud. Until next time!

I think you are right. First of all, it's an intro song, so you've got the elements covered and yet kept it in check. I think the ability to condense and encompass, and to arrange it in such a way, is wonderful. And the chorus is a repetitive explosion.
Nice reaction. Can I say it? Can I say it? FINALLY, BABYMETAL HAS COME BACK TO EARTH. And millions and millions of people are smiling around the world. They return with a song that is right up their ally. A good positive message. While Road of Resistance feels like an invite to join them on their journey. This song implores the listener to follow their dreams. The world felt held back because of covid. Now lots of folks are changing jobs and careers. Making it in many ways the time to stand and go your own way. Follow those dreams. The past was about their fight to just be part of the metal world. Now that they have achieved that dream and have become a legendary band. It seems they wish for others to follow their dreams to success. Still humble and strong all these years later. I'm sure we'll see some form of Kawaii in the performance of this song. Maybe when Moa's part comes in towards the end of the song. As Moa put it. Kawaii beats all. Her kawaii anyway.
