Great video guys, I feel a little bit of envy, here I am in Ontario working my last 2-3 years before retirement and not enjoying my country of origin. Luckily, I am buying a piece of land about 7 min from Playa Cangrejera, beautiful beach,strategically located between La Libertad and the Airport. Thanks to you, I know more know about life in ES.

I love this place. My husband and I came to this house and we were so excited about this place that we want to come back.
That's amazing! The sunsets there are out of this world, aren't they? And that pool, so warm... we miss it already.
As a salvadoreña I immigrated in 1991.. and I have never in a million years I thought the my country was going to be like this!! I’m so proud and blessed the I live to see it😢😢 we had going through a lot as a country. Thank you lord and he’s mercy 🙏🙏🙏🙏 thank you all for putting El Salvador so high 😢😢😢😢

Not bad, you go with 4 families for the entire weekend, it comes to $100 a day each family, way better than a hotel, and the private little piece of beach is awesome. I'm Salvadoran and I always dreamed of camping in the sand at night to watch the stars till next morning but El Salvador was so violent and crime-infested only 3 years ago that I never had the chance, but now it's the safest country in the American continent. Now I'm going to camp in the sand all night! Oh and just a word of advise when you BBQ next time, if you want the best meat and the most tender, always ask for "entraña", otherwise you will always get hard, rough meat.

About the conversation you had with your Canadian fellows and in regard to the perception of a dangerous country, I just want to say that foreigners in El Salvador never were at risk of being harmed, gang activity or some low life thieves have never actually targeted foreigner, is like they have always been afraid of touching because the moment they can think about it the whole force of the state would have gone after them and that is part of the main reason of why criminals have never gone after them, they have been smart enough to know exactly who their main targets is and they have targeted just the locals and since the previous Governments have not really taken care of it`s own people, now that has changed clearly 180 and we`re all happy about and hopefully stays that way in the future and if that happens then I will most likely move back to my home land that I left because of a civil war decades ago.
Yes we heard something similar when we first arrived, that foreigners are rarely targets of crime because they are the ones bringing in the money that the gangs extort from locals. Between the gangs and the government corruption, the wonderful people of this country have been in a state of economic paralysis for decades, and the effects of that are still apparent all around.
What's exciting, though, is seeing all the new businesses popping up everywhere, all the new homes and home renovations happening everywhere you look. It has the appearance of new growth emerging after a forest fire, and it's obvious that a thriving society is bursting forth. Even more heartening than that is meeting all the kind, welcoming, smiling people in our travels.

The whole western world is the same, countries that produce a lot of food, but the food is more expensive in the western world than in third-world countries, and the list goes on and on, like the price of petrol, it is a lot more expensive in any western country than in el salvador, taxes, hiden taxes, in some they charge taxes and G.S.T. which is double dipping into taxpayers' pockets.
