Coming back to this trailer 11 years later to relive the excitement and celebrate the game now being released on Switch is one of the greatest feelings ever
Wow man, the amount of nostalgia I have for this game is immense. I truly do miss these times, so damn much. No matter what anyone says, the Wii U era was a special, different time for me.
I was straight up obsessed with this trailer. I loved the game, I love the series, Definitive Edition will be so good. I remember this specific direct being really crazy. 11 years huh....
I have been playing this game since is first came out. I honestly can say without a doubt in my mind that this is the greatest Wii U game I have ever played, and is the best game of this generation that I have ever gotten the opportunity to experience. Literally my only complaint is that the music sometimes gets too loud during cutscenes, but aside from that this game is one of the greatest games of all time. I cannot wait for the sequel.
6 years later and it's still gives me the goosebumps, I must have put at the very least 700 h in XbX. Can't wait to see what Takahashi and Monolith are working on.
@@joeld5338 sadly I don't think so otherwise xenoblade chronicles 3 wouldn't have been cut up into open segments xenoblade chronicles x is a seamless open world with alot in it and it's a bit more detailed then the xenoblade games on switch
@Breaking Games Xenoblade 3 has a bigger world than X tho. They said X is 5 times bigger than 1, and that 2 was a little smaller than X but bigger than 1. 3 is 5 times bigger than 2, so 3 is bigger than X. Not to mention 3 had a lot more story stuff going on in it than X did, so it wouldn't make a whole lot of sense if they had they big seamless open world that you can traverse freely, whereas X was exploration focused and not story focused...

This trailer really hyped me when I first saw it almost 10 years ago. "I HAVE TO PLAYE THIS GAME! I MUST PLAY THIS GAME" was my thinking once I saw the Skells. It is the only reason for me to buy a WiiU. Today is 2022. For me it is still the best RPG. And I still play it! Nintendo, please for the love of everything holy, start making either the remaster for Switch or even better, the sequel!
I think it's better they make a remake for the console after the switch, cause there wouldn't be any technical differences maybe it would run even worse. There need to be better hardware power tu utilize the potential of this great world.
BoTW is still my favorite game of all time, but if we don't mention that, Xenoblade Chronicles X is easily the best Wii U game. I sometimes put serious thought into plugging my Wii U in again just so I can play this masterpiece.

This trailer makes me so emotional. I remember watching this for the first almost three years ago, and realizing Xenoblade had gone from being a game to become a franchise, that would stay with me.
This was the trailer that got me into Xenoblade. I immediately bought the original Wii release and played it while waiting for X to release. How far we've come xenobros.

Playing Xenoblade for the first time now and it makes me realllly anxious for this game lol It looks like it has epic potential. Plus, the composer for the X soundtrack is one of my favorites right now.
So, I got through the main story and holy crap this was good. That was one of the best stories I've experienced in a game in a long time. I kind of wished they would've resolved the romance between Shulk/Fiora a little better. Overall though, it was great and I'm even MORE excited now for X.

The fun part is that this was revealed before the anime of Attack on Titan began. Sawano's best work is the Gundam Unicorn ost, so he knows how to make music for mechs.

I remember it well. I was ten years old watching this (11 later that year in August) and wanted a Wii U very badly. This game was part of that motivation to get a Wii U. I remember calling this game Xenoblade 2, Shulk appeared and I thought this is gonna be Xenoblade 2. Damn, we waited so long for this game. Over three years. I got Xenoblade X the week it came out, I wasn't going to contain the hype any longer. God something about the vibe of this trailer and the music and scenery and everything makes me wanna cry of nostalgia. Please bring this game to the Switch.

I know port begging is common, but Xenoblade X deserves a second chance on the much more sold Switch. Xenoblade is definitely a masterpiece and so is X. Make it happen by the fourth anniversary of this game during 2019.

This is one of the best JRPGs out there and gets practically no love. The Wii U had a masterpiece that went under-appreciated because of the platform it was on. I love XCX, but weep for it as well. Sadly, MonolithSoft has stated it would be too expensive to port to the Switch. I can only hope that a miracle lies in the horizon.
I remember watching this trailer over and over, waiting for the game to be announced. All we had was Xenoblade on Wii and the few that actually played back then knew what monolith was capable of and boy if they delivered with XCX.
What a way for the Switch (my all-time favourite system overtaking the iconic SNES) to go out on ultimate high note with a remaster with new story content of this masterpiece. Imagine what Monolith Soft could do with a Pokemon game in their hands as maybe they could help out a bit like what happened in Zelda BOTW/TOTK games :-)

The year is 2024. Wii U proved Iwata's vision was the foundation for the Switch.
