Pain in the arse huh? I have an Australian Ford BA ute that has the same crap designed trans cooler in radiator. When I replaced the radiator I also fitted an external transmission cooler and bypassed the stock in-radiator cooler completely. Now there is no way coolant and ATF can mix. Peace of mind for a couple of hundred more, absolutely worth it. Good video on your flushing process 👍

Excellent. Having same problem. I had bought the same radiator. Failed. Darn Chinese parts!
You did a great job with the demonstration. Thanks for uploading it!👍

I have a 2004 Toyota Corolla. The upper transmission cooler line and fitting broke off the radiator (I don't know why) with trans fluid and coolant leaking all over. Engine coolant is now leaking from the hole that has been created by the fitting breaking off. I want to know if engine coolant has gotten into my transmission.

Good job bruh! ❤. Am am a mechanic from Nigeria, one of my customers had same problem with her Hyundai Santa Fe, coolant mixed with transmission fluid, i diagnosed it it was a weak radiator, but i haven't opened it yet to check, the transmission is not selecting engaging at the moment.

Don’t forget you also have to flush your entire transmission and replace ALL (yes all 10 or so quarts depending on your car) of the ATF. I just bought a used car. Previous owner fixed the radiator but completely ignored the transmission. He’s lucky he didn’t destroy the transmission entirely driving tens of thousands of miles with contaminated fluid.

Does it get in the motor as well or just transmission and radiator

It used to get into coolant only. The ATF was clean.

@robertdeptula2003 thanks for the response my 2008 ford f150 lariat just started spewing pepto bismol out of the reservoir yesterday afternoon

In my case it looks like the ATF pressure was higher than the coolant pressure, so it seeped through. When cold, the passage sealed again.

1 paid dealership 1600 bucks for fix but I drove for weekend and now its happing again dealership says it could be something other then their fix and if it is then ill be charged additional. Their diagnostic is only on the issue at hand and not on the whole car 😒

Did they tell you that ATF went into the coolant? What did they replace? What car is it (make, model, year)?
It is difficult for me to diagnose the problem remotely.
