Looks better than backbone, and lot more comfortable..I'm returning my backbone, and getting this for my girl, and the Galileo or the razer ultra for myself.
@@WeAsOneRiseGaming So the thing is the Razer Ultra is only recognized as an Xbox controller pretty much. Therefore, the Remote Play app is completely unusable with the Razer Kishi Ultra on Android, but it'll work fine on iPhones due to how the controller API is handled on iOS. If you want to play Remote Play on a Razer Kishi Ultra, the way to do it would be with an app called PS Play. It's this software that lets you tap into your PS5 and it's actually a much better app than Sony's. It's about 5USD, not too expensive.

Hi I have a Samsung s22 snapdragon which gets hot will this work with fire strike by edkon for android ?
There are far too many variables to know if it will completely solve the problem for you. I can guarantee it will help mitigate it, but stop it completely is something that would require you testing it on your end, in your environment to truly know. If you are in a very hot, very humid place, it might not be enough to completely stop throttling from happening, but it'll take more time before the problem shows up, if that makes sense. Cheers!

Here's a secret for you (that isn't one really), in CES that happened earlier in January if I recall. An all-white GameSir G8 was spotted and it was a variant with MFi. My guess was GameSir was in talk with Apple but it hasn't happened yet? Here's a picture I found from Reddit: imgur.com/a/t5NexIH (not my picture)
Me over here so confused how you got this already lol. Update: Okay so after actually watchin the video, a few things. Noticed you made a minor mistake saying the X2 pro which was actually a different device. The predecessor to this was just the X3, which on a different video I had told you that you could swap the ABXY buttons like you can on the X4. After watching this and seeing the images online in Chinese ahead of time, I'm a bit disappointed in a few things. One, they kept the digital triggers, which while they feel super satisfying to click, I think the gamesir app having a toggle and analog triggers is what they should continue to do moving forward. The other thing I'm disappointed by is the lack of back paddles. The X3 was actually the first controller I got when I first discovered GameSir and they were crowdfunding on indiegogo, so I've been waiting for a proper follow up with a fan for a LONG time. This should have been everything that the X3 was and more and unfortunately it's a few steps forward and a few steps back.
Indeed, that was me making a blunder when I said X2 Pro, I knew in my head I was talking about the X3 but what came out of my mouth was not correct, thanks for pointing it out. I agree with you on both the back paddles and the triggers. Especially that this controller is not cheap. It's always the same frustrating game we have to play as consumers of cat and mouse always chasing the next thing because nothing is ever perfect. As if they know they can't make it too good cause people won't buy the other things if they do. -_-' It irritates me if being honest but at least I know some people will be happy to have a cooling option. I wish I could've had a cooling option that also does all the other things but it doesn't sadly. Still, it's got some pretty redeemable quality that I'll hopefully cover during the review. Oh and as to how I got it, I bought it from a chinese retailer to get it shipped to me. I think GameSir soft launched this product, sort of like what they did with the X2s Bluetooth.
@@GameTechTalk the closest thing I could get is if I got the X4 and then one of their separate coolers from AliExpress since I could just slap it in between the halves on my phone like in the advertisements. But that would just make that a more expensive purchase.

Alright, time for UA-cam to send me a plaque or something. I made it, I'm internet famous, someone has my face has their profile photo! 🤣 Nice design indeed, we're talking about the controller right? Just making sure 🤣
The issue with the Gamesir X3 and X3 PRO models is their triangular case cutout, which prevents smartphones with a thicker camera module from making contact with the Type-C connector. I, for instance, have the Nubia Z60 Ultra, and it's challenging to play with this controller due to its cameras. It's unfortunate because the controller has a great feel and is comfortable to play with.
Because of that hexagone in the middle right? Yeah, I figured there might be a couple of phones where that cove doesn't quite work. Thanks for mentioning it, that might help a future viewer!
Klef's got that Bieber fever! You can blame RedMagic; but, we know the truth. You're a true bel-ieber! Interesting first look. I'm not really sure what to make of this controller. On one hand the cooler is awesome. On the other; they didn't fix any of the things that the community felt needed to be fixed from the OG X3. However, my phone thermal throttles pretty easily (it runs an 845) when doing PS2 emulation, so, if the cooler is highly effective then I can overlook or work around a lot of GameSir's odd decisions. My autobiography will be called "The Audacity of Cope". Most games actively don't need analog triggers. That's why fancy controllers have that hair trigger setting. For those games that do, map the analog inputs to the right stick. I already do that for Dreamcast on my R36S and that's how PS1 and Switch racing games natively do it. It's fine.

its a good thing I haven't bought the x4 yet, so what do you think is the best pick x3pro or x4 with separate cooler? I'm thinking of getting the blackshark funcooler 3 pro. thanks in advance...
I prefer the X4 as a controller but it can be more fiddly to work with, the stability is not as great, compatibility is not as easily wide. Personally, having multiple "attachments" get tedious over time, at least I find. There lies great appreciation in being able to shift from "game mode" to "phone mode" quickly and easily but that's a personal preference I have. For all those reasons, my personal pick is the X3 Pro.
From off of a conversation I had with someone that needed 5cm of clearance and based on pictures, I am convinced you'll be fine.It has up to 6cm of clearance btw.
I recently got the redmagic cooler because of the throttling due to heat when playing warzone mobile. But wanted the a G8 controller as well. Wish this would have been out a month ago.
Well, in all fairness, with no bluetooth, COD:Mobile (in case you play that one too), seems to be out of the question. It won't be you "end all" controller but it surely will be extremely great at what it is designed for and I intend to cover it all in the final review!
There are no reason for it not to work brilliantly. Sadly I don't have a S24 Ultra but these manufacturers do make sure the flagship options are perfectly compatible, rest assured that it will 100%.
Hello. I really liked the Scuf Reflex FPS gamepad. Have you had any experience using this company's gamepads? What can you say about him? Thank you in advance.
We need a "design your controller" solution from a brand where we can mix n match aspects to make the ultimate "hunterx1153" controller, the ultimate "Klef" controller, and so on and so forth. Wouldn't that be amazing?
Yes we can and guess what, I hadn't even picked that up in the software but the fan is addressable too! (Very minimalistically but nonetheless, that's cool!)
I would suggest deleting the app and redownloading, to make sure it's not stuck in limbo or something. Also, you may have to switch modes for the app to recognize it. You can switch modes by holding Select + Start for 3-4 seconds.
I have an important question, did this gamepad support bypass charging? I don't know what red magic is called it,but in black shark it is called bypass charging (direct charging). I have 2 options here to choose, gamesir x3 pro and x4 aileron.
Что лучше - GameSir X2 Pro T-ype C или Gemesir G8 Galileo ? Для андроида, пацану играть что выбрать ? Подскажите...!😅 или эту версию. Я уже запутался 😅😅😅
That would be nice, also logically a BT one would have battery so the fan could be self-powered. Let's hope they have that in their engineering prototypes. I know little to nothing about this controller because I bought it myself, they didn't send that one over.
Not that I know of, GameSir seems to always only stick to one color with telescopic models, I wonder if that's an indicator of how much they think they'll sell. It's still a fairly small market by today's standards.
Hopefully, they are keeping up with the comment section of this video and they know that they need to get to work (or they already have? 🤔). Time will tell!
My brother keeps asking that I make videos about games, which would make sense since it's in the name but I'll stick to getting good at this first. With that said, ASTROBOT IS AMAZING, HIGHLY RECOMMEND IT!! 😆
I have the regular X3 and the left analogue stick on most of those including mine is faulty so I don't use it, instead I got an X4 which is much better with a black shark cooling fan then they announced this a few weeks later 😪
Honestly, if you just think of the controller alone, the X4 Aileron does provide a superior solution than the X3 Pro. The X3 Pro has the advantage of being an "all-put-together" approach but I don't think there is cause for feeling like you missed out with your current setup, arguably, it's a better one.
@@GameTechTalk I do like the X4 a lot, the only problem is warzone mobile kills the battery fast and it gets a bit annoying having to recharge the phone every 4 matches or so. I wish they had put a hole or something in the X4 to feed a usb cable through to the phone, but you're right I'll stick with it, unless a G8 comes out with a cooling fan built in 🤣
Does anyone know if the GameSir X2s bluetooth is compatible with RetroArch on iOs? I can use my PS4 controller and Xbox controller like normal but am looking for a handheld/compact way to play while travelling.
@@allendevoe1207 I don't have an iOS device to test but according to the manual, x2s would connect to it as a ds4 controller. So if your ds4 works with retroarch then it would probably works too
Although I no longer have the X2s Bluetooth, I gave it to someone in giveaway, I can confirm that it did work on the iPhone just fine, and with RetroArch iOS. Cheers!
Bruh... Bruh-bruh... Why do the Pros never get those beautiful colors?!? Ok aluminium shell sand-blasted blablabla. IDC. Apple can sell ice to an eskimo, surely they can make colorful Pros... Loved the new colors on the 16 line-up but I'm hesitant between Pro and Pro Max, I kinda want to go back to a smaller phone. 🤔
As far as I can tell, there isn't a shortcut to step in and out of the feature, you have to activate it in the software and from the software, you can make a button be the shortcut to activate it. However, without any programmable buttons, that does mean you have to sacrifice one, which does suck.
A lot of people will share your sentiment and indeed, I do find that certain games, that layout will bother me, whereas some other, not as much. It depends on how the controller is being used basically. FPSes that make constant use of face buttons are just a no-go with this layout for me personally.
That would be because Honkai Star Rail requires an Xbox spoofed controller on Android which I think the X3 Pro does not have. I'll double check in time for the review but I'm pretty sure the two options are PS Mode and G-Touch mode.
I'm gonna have to do serious testings and this time, I'll make sure to do with and without the case. Seeing how cold that thing was, there isn't the shadow of a doubt, it's gonna work for sure, by how much is the real question!
@@GameTechTalk can you test the Razer edge with it. I plan on getting it soon, but do not like the v2 it comes with. So I plan on getting an another controller for it. Also I didn’t notice if it had a headphone jack but I can go look.
Unfortunately, I have none of the two but if the nothing phone 2 has USB-C, which I'm sure it does, the answer is as simple as yes. I am 100% sure of that answer.
That was a weird decision indeed. There is a couple things more that would've made the "request list" but the analog triggers is probably the most "wth" that this controller has. With that said, they are pleasant clicks, I can at least give 'em that.
@GameTechTalk I was going to consider getting this until you showed the triggers lol I instantly said nope... nope. I mean I guess if you emulate snes or something super retro your fine, but most people use telescopic controllers to stream. I mostly stream my PC games on my phone so it would be no use to me because all modern games use analog.
@@quisshmoov6313 Basically, if you play racing games, or that you like to pre-cook guns and grenades in FPSes, it's a no-go pretty much. Bit of a sad decision but it does work beautifully for a truckload of other devices. Cheers!
Similarly I watched this review with my phone plugged into my X2 Pro. LPT: with a controller plugged in you can skip forwards and backwards by simply rocking your D-pad right and left.
Many reasons, for one, heat dissipation cases are a thing. Also, some lighter games don't require cooling, kinda sucks to have to remove the case. Lastly, I prefer having morr versatile options if possible. Some cases only protect edges, not the back, this wouldn't work either.
The listings I've seen seem pretty consistant at 99USD. But clearly GameSir is soft-launching this, a part of me wonders if they have locked in every aspects of this product.
Indeed. I'm still going to test with and without, just because why not but I wouldn't expect anything other than ultra slim cases to work, or very thin phones, which the Redmagic is not necessarily the thinnest in all honesty so there's that too to consider. But say, if you wanted to pair a heat dissipation case with the cooler of the X3 Pro, yeah I don't think that'll work unfortunately.
Ever owned one of those? Like... If going purely for gaming, they are unbeatable tbh. I actually am contemplating returning the OnePlus Pad 2 just to get that Redmagic tablet they just announced, that software experience is pure deliciousness for gamers.

"RedMagic Chooses The Splash Screen" hmmm yea right lol jk good video as usual Nephew
😂😂 Thanks!
oh my this one is very beautiful n worth to collect
That it most definitely is!
Thanks for reviewing this controller for mt Galaxy S24 ultra. Please help testing with S24 ultra to see if it works fine, which I hope. Thanks
I have only used the nomad from Scuf. It’s good but I don’t think I can use it as reference to assess the Reflex.
Just need this with analog triggers
Right?
Why there Is not a galileo with cooler 😢
We need a "design your controller" solution from a brand where we can mix n match aspects to make the ultimate "hunterx1153" controller, the ultimate "Klef" controller, and so on and so forth. Wouldn't that be amazing?
can we run fan and charge phone with1 cable only ?
Yes we can and guess what, I hadn't even picked that up in the software but the fan is addressable too! (Very minimalistically but nonetheless, that's cool!)
@@GameTechTalk really? thanks. passthrought charging and fan wwith 1 cable is incredible
@@mejibear Pretty much so, even more with the fan being addressable on top of that. That controller got some interesting layers to it!
Good video
Appreciate the watch!
Should I get this or just go with the regular X3
Sadly, I don’t have the original X3 but I don’t see how that could be worst. The full review is coming out today by the way! 😊
Where do you downloaded this app? I have the gamesir app from Playstore app installed but it shows only my Galileo G8.
I have 2 options here to choose,gamesir x3 pro and x4 aileron.
Yes, it does support that feature in the app. You have to activate/deactivate it based off of your preference but you absolutely can. Cheers!
Что лучше - GameSir X2 Pro T-ype C или Gemesir G8 Galileo ? Для андроида, пацану играть что выбрать ? Подскажите...!😅 или эту версию. Я уже запутался 😅😅😅
For me personally, the G8 Galileo is a much more pleasant controller to use so I would say G8. Cheers!
Do you prefer this or G8 / M15?
The review is releasing today, I think it’s an amazing product, just not my majority type of gaming.
waiting for a bluetooth one :)
That would be nice, also logically a BT one would have battery so the fan could be self-powered. Let's hope they have that in their engineering prototypes. I know little to nothing about this controller because I bought it myself, they didn't send that one over.
is there a black color variant for this x3 pro?
Not that I know of, GameSir seems to always only stick to one color with telescopic models, I wonder if that's an indicator of how much they think they'll sell. It's still a fairly small market by today's standards.
Hope easySMX release a controller with a cooler cause sheesh my s21ultra feels like it's going to explode plus i live an a super hot country
Hopefully, they are keeping up with the comment section of this video and they know that they need to get to work (or they already have? 🤔). Time will tell!
So … when do we get the video about astrobot then?
I wish they had put a hole or something in the X4 to feed a usb cable through to the phone, but you're right I'll stick with it, unless a G8 comes out with a cooling fan built in 🤣
@@linkssz1699 The G8 w/ cooling fan needs to happen!
Cheers!
Woot!!
Woop woop!!!
Heh. This controller looks like it'd match perfectly with the new teal iPhone. Lol. 🤭
How do i activate the gyroscope?
As far as I can tell, there isn't a shortcut to step in and out of the feature, you have to activate it in the software and from the software, you can make a button be the shortcut to activate it. However, without any programmable buttons, that does mean you have to sacrifice one, which does suck.
I've come to realize that any controller with face buttons directly above the joystick is unusable unless Im playing very casual games
A lot of people will share your sentiment and indeed, I do find that certain games, that layout will bother me, whereas some other, not as much. It depends on how the controller is being used basically. FPSes that make constant use of face buttons are just a no-go with this layout for me personally.
That could've been solved if they add extra face buttons at the back so both middle and ring fingers can use them
I can't get it to work with honkai star rail
That would be because Honkai Star Rail requires an Xbox spoofed controller on Android which I think the X3 Pro does not have. I'll double check in time for the review but I'm pretty sure the two options are PS Mode and G-Touch mode.
The one reason to have a full back. To have a cooler on the back. This is a W
@@GrimeyGrim It has the 3.5mm jack, and sure, I can test on the Edge in the final review. Cheers! :)
i'm new to telescopic controller so can anyone tell me if the gamesir x3 (not pro) is compatible with nothing phone 2? i would be very grateful
Unfortunately, I have none of the two but if the nothing phone 2 has USB-C, which I'm sure it does, the answer is as simple as yes. I am 100% sure of that answer.
The flash screen 😭
😅
They messed up making the triggers buttons. Most people want analogs
Cheers!
why would you even use a case when you are trying to cool the phone...
Watching this while playing on my x3...hope the cooler on this one gets an upgrade too
Sadly I won't have it to compare but I'll make sure to have quantifiable data on the review. Cheers! :)
Similarly I watched this review with my phone plugged into my X2 Pro.
LPT: with a controller plugged in you can skip forwards and backwards by simply rocking your D-pad right and left.
What... Gamesir x3 Crystal? 🥵🥵🥵👀
I do like how it looks, very pretty!
bro definitely needs some sleep lol😅😅😅
Sleep? What is that, where can I buy some? 😅
@@GameTechTalk Can you test how cold it gets with and without case
why would you worry about case not fitting when its main selling point is the big cooler
Many reasons, for one, heat dissipation cases are a thing. Also, some lighter games don't require cooling, kinda sucks to have to remove the case. Lastly, I prefer having morr versatile options if possible. Some cases only protect edges, not the back, this wouldn't work either.
I want a galileo g8 with cooler :(
Don't we all!
Leadjoy m1c has a thermal plate so you can put your own magcooler. It also recognizes it as galileo g8 on gamesir app 😂
@@YoloTub3 yeah but for the m1c i have to remove my tempered glass
What was that picture anyways 😂
It was Justin Bieber. I enjoy his music but not to the point of having him intentionally as my lock cover photo! 😂
At least it wasn't another Justin Trudeau thirst trap like last time.
@@mattdavis9601 🤣🤣🤣
@GameTechTalk lol sure show us the rest of your chill pad, bet you have Bieber posters all over 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Man, I love that but it's gonna be pricey
The listings I've seen seem pretty consistant at 99USD. But clearly GameSir is soft-launching this, a part of me wonders if they have locked in every aspects of this product.
Still not case friendly I suppose. Bummer.
Peltier coolers are generally not case friendly. That cooler pad needs to touch the back of your phone for best cooling results
@@MasterSabo05 there are cases with cooling compatibility like the ones with the red magic phones.
Where in the youtuber hand book does it say every 7 seconds switch back to face and make stupid sounds, my god
It’s a learning venture and I am doing the work. You don’t like it? Can’t please everyone can I? Nonetheless, wishing you a good life. Peace ✌️
oh yeah sure it was redmagic...
Ever owned one of those? Like... If going purely for gaming, they are unbeatable tbh. I actually am contemplating returning the OnePlus Pad 2 just to get that Redmagic tablet they just announced, that software experience is pure deliciousness for gamers.
😂😂😂 Ohhh it took a good hour for my brain to compute! (I have arrived) I swear though, it's Redmagic, it's not me!!! 😂
@@GameTechTalk Ive never even touched one lol

Cool Mint! Let’s goooooo!
No back buttons is a deal breaker smh.
Seems like it's something a lot of people wanted. Hopefully next time!
