At least Russell didn't brush the question off and gave an honest, detailed answer.
That’s a good point. 99% of actors would give a PC media-trained answer.
Met him once when I was working at a Hungry Jack's a few years back, he came in and my high ass was thinking "that guy looks like russel crowe", and everyone at work was like oh shit thats rusty and I was like oh shit it is rusty and they were too scared to go ask for a picture and everyone was telling everyone else to do it, so I was like i'll go do it and went and asked. He seemed pretty cool, was happy to let me take a couple pics, told him I liked the noahs ark movie he was in, everyone at worked went over to ask him for pictures after that haha
Fightin’ ‘Round the World
Fighting round the world !
Gladiator was the best movie of my lifetime. I’m 31
Said nobody ever
It was boring and had no story
Same. 31 years old and gladiator is my number 1. Troy is number 2
Idk boys, don't sleep on brave heart! FREEEEEDOMMMMM!!!
@@Ben-kb6vi 2 of my kids r named after characters from Troy.
And he still gave such a full, insightful answer. If you don't want questions, don't answer them.
Lol
He actually seems humble about it tbh, at least, in the second part
They could have had Russell Crowe in the movie like memories..
"Fighting round the world "
"Omg it's Russell crowe, have one of these ya scrotum".
😂😂😂
Born in New Zealand in sixty-four
A hot-headed actor named Russell Crowe
He loves to act but he loves one thing more
Fightin' Round The World
He fights his directors and he fights his fans
It's a problem no one understands
If there's two things he loves it's fighting and
Fightin' Round The World
Tugger's whistle's blowin', means we must be be goin', no more Russell Crowein' for youuuuuuu! But now don't you start to whine, I'll see you again next time, cos there's plenty amore FIGHTIN' LEFT TO DOOOOOOO 🎵

There is no way in hell even with Denzel that part 2 is gonna be half as good as the first Gladiator. Thank you Russell for Gladiator which was such an epic movie
Yeah I'm not really seeing a good reason for making a Gladiator 2 with Denzel, a little confusing actually.
@cavaliothorson7755 I’m actually very confused. Why isn’t it a good reason to cast one of the best actors of all time?
@@FlickItFilms Why does there need to be a Gladiator 2? That's what I meant
They’re making it to squeeze any money they can out of the IP
I don’t get the Denzel Washington is a great actor thing every film I’ve seen of him he plays it exactly the same, same mannerisms and everything. Overrated imo
A prequel would’ve been more interesting. To see the rise of the general, Maximus. Also to see glimpses of Marcus’s rise to power as well.
OH MY GOD, ITS RUSSELL CROWE!
I'm still waiting for a Master and Commander sequel, Mr. Crowe! 😭
Same man same, based on books and could definitely use a sequel
Gladiator is one of the best films ever created, no argument. Were you not entertained?
I went to cinema 8 times to see it...... Worth it
😮
It certainly isn’t…
@@nikokaapa Easily one of the best, top 100 movies of all time.

We need a Nice Guys sequel. Perfectly showcased Russell Crowe can do comedy.
👏🏼
20 years later (idk math) and I'm seating here at home watching this video while with a gladiator hoodie bought in Rome outside the colosseum.
Timeless masterpieces forever immortal
"The Spaniard"
It takes a certain amount of humility to admit a flaw in one's own character.
Russel crow is not a humble man. Arrogant snob
Russell Crowe’s been through a lot and has put himself through a lot. You either come out the other side a broken husk of a man, or with a new, better character. Seems like RC chose the shinier door.
@@georgecaplin9075 he looks like bloated pumpkin! U serious?
Russell Crowe is a legend, love all his movies.
He's a good fighter too
Oh geez thanks for the tip! Next time I bump into Russell Crowe I'll try to avoid asking about it.
Fighting round the world
Tugga!!
First movie I watched over and over again and was equally impressed each time.
I hope the sequel to Gladiator is good! Wish Russell Crowe could be in it, even thou he died in the original. He could be a spirit form
Would’ve been dope to see Crowe in some form in the sequel. Him and Denzel reuniting after the masterpiece that was American Gangster
Movies that shouldn’t get a sequel!
Who needs that? It’s one of the greatest movies ever made it does not need a part 2
Yup…unfortunately everything in Hollywood gets rebooted or reheated nowadays 🥱
Should have been a standalone film.
“Now I make you gladiator FLICK FLICK”. Epic Russell Crowe cameo idea for the movie
Maximus! Maximus! Maximus! We are with you sir!
I loved you in gladiator that's one of my fav
We need a master and commander sequel 🙌🏼 Aubrey and Maturin is a big series…
Unfortunately Russell is too old for that part now.
I too would have loved SEQUELS to M& C. The original was a composite of several of the books though.
It’s a damn shame, that would have been perfect for a sequel
There’s a sequel in the works. It deals with the son of Captain Aubrey who must form an uneasy alliance with a pirate captain inorder to survive a greater threat.
@@newatlantisrepublic6844 oh great 👍 whos in it?
Best actor will best voice presentation that will here to keep it in preserve for in human memory for long time .
God bless Maximus
Wow, he's been eating really well!!!
It’s still the best historical drama of the old world since braveheart it is always a must watch thank you Russell
The reporter got lucky russel didnt throw a cell phone at him like back in 2014 😅
Great actor 👍👍👏👏👏
I just hope that they rerelease the first movie in theater again
Based on Scott's latest works, this film will likely be mediocre at best
You’re not wrong
The Last Duel was better than mediocre imo
i enjoyed Napoleon
When I saw Napoleon charging at enemies head on I couldn't stop laughing its like a WW2 movie with Hitler leading his infantry by running on enemy tanks. Best comedy of the last 10 years

One of my favorite movies of all time. Russell did an awesome job here. 👏
They could have used him in flashbacks.... Would have been cool.
100% just having maximus in it for 5 minutes would have satisfied all gladiator fans....
That’s true. But he does look way older now. They’d have to use that terrible de-aging CGI.
@@Celerythrower 100%, even if he was just speaking it would've been awesome
@jakenake3401 I watched gladiator yesterday as it goes lol.... 9999999th time I think 🤣
How would that work? Have you seen him now, he looks nothing like he used to in 1999.
This should have a Very strong smart story if Maximus is dead, like Russell Crowe says Ridley Scott must have a very strong reason for doing Gladiator 2, but frankly I don't see any reason besides seeing what kind of an Emperor grown up Lucius is and if he's carrying out Maximus's last wishes,I will go see it just to see if it measures up to the first one,I hope the same beautiful music is in it,that music is iconic
The music is everything i will always love Gladiator
One of the greatest films of my lifetime... It could have been left alone. I am happy that epic public figures like Mr Crowe are actually speaking freely. My deceased wife always reminded us that "swear" words are the language of the frustrated. And who could blame this guy for being frustrated about the questions...
Making movies ,making music and fighting round the world.....
