- How to use your audio interface with Rocksmith 2014 Edition Remastered.
RS_ASIO GitHub Page: github.com/mdi...
Where Rocksmith is installed (must be through Steam): C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Rocksmith2014
In-game, you will use the default audio input option rather than Microphone or the No Cable mod.
Make sure to read the listed instructions on the RS_ASIO page in case you run into any issues.
Theres several steps this guy mentioned which are sorta necessary if you're following step by step. You have to boot the game once at least to get a lot of the files you'll need to set up drivers to show up. The GITHUB link has a better step by step guide if you scroll down that should help plug some of the holes within this tutorial. Should be mentioned, this is still a great start!*
Best tutorial out there! Finally got it to work, I appreciate it. Apparently you also need to switch to 48khz samplerate in the focusrite control if you are in 44.1 it wont work.
Great tutorial, gets straight to the point.
Im using M-Track Duo, its on that list but there isn't anything to copy and paste?
Edit:: no luck, now there's no sound and a popup telling there is no audio output, seems to have made things worse
Anyone know if this will work on Mac or how to do this on a M1 Mac? I have an audio interface and the True Tone cable but it doesn’t detect the cable so the interface is my next option.
im getting no game audio and it is detecting my guitar just no game audio
i have a audiobox USB 96, its not listed in that list at all, Any advice?
THANK YOU!
Thanks for this
For anyone having issues getting this to work my solution was to install the Windows 7/8 driver.
I have a Scarlett 2i4 interface which when having the Windows 10/11 driver installed, rocksmith was picking up that I'm using a "Thunder bolt" driver which im not. I tried to force the "Focusrite USB ASIO" driver in the RS_ASIO .ini file but this wouldn't work.
Simply put - Install the windows 7/8 focusrite driver (yes even if you're on w10 / w11). Once the older driver was installed everything just worked as Rocksmith was picking up the Focusrite USB ASIO driver. Rocksmith sounds great, and I was able to get the buffer down to 48 with really no detectable latency when playing.
Do NOT do this. All of my audio devices are now gone
thank you! that was super easy!
Legend, thanks
Does this work with a pirated version of the game? I remember trying this a couple of years ago and wouldn't work because I had a pirated version. Since I couldn't play with my Scarlett solo I deleted the game because I'm not going to pay money for something when Ubisoft could block accces anytime they feel like.
its possible to play in multiplayer mode????
Thanks man!
Hi, which one should I download for the M-vave audio interface (Cuvave)???
It might work without any special configuration but I don’t see it listed on the RS_ASIO download page. You might still be able to use it as a microphone input, you won’t hear the guitar through the game like you do with the real tone cable but you’ll still get the benefit of lower input latency.
I still can't, my game doesn't pick up my bass, I have ASIO4all, I pasted the 3 files, changed things in RS_ASIO, but nothing works (my game is pirated) I don't know what to do to make it work@@Quintanamo
My audio interface is not in the list is there a way to find my audio interface ? Its a roland duo-capture ex (model UA-22)
Change it to 48000khz
anyone know how to get this working on a mac?
I just have to wait they add audient id14, i tried the id4 it doesn't work
I still can't get it to work with my id4
Anyone using Apogee Duet 3 with RS ?
0:50
obrigado
How can i use it with a non steam version?
Unfortunately the RS_ASIO developers only support the Steam version, not sure if they’re planning on supporting other versions.
@@Quintanamosad, cause you can't even get the damn game on Steam. Gotta love Ubisoft :)
weird I didn't get an .ini file
i didn't either.
how can i get the game in 2024
It seems it was pulled from the Steam store in October 2023. Might have to look elsewhere to see if it’s still possible.
If you can find a rocksmith 2014 cd key to buy somewhere and put the code in steam you might still get the game.
I found a cd key for the original rocksmith and I got it added to my steam library after it was removed from steam, I only needed it so I could play the songs off it with my rocksmith 2014 version but it did work.
Will this work with a cracked version?
@@Chris-rr9ud Is it working did you try?
@@Chris-rr9ud It is working. I had a little problem with the audio because it was glitchy but i solved it with changing "BufferSizeMode=host". I started the game and it was fine at first but than it glitched again and I changed the buffer to 32 from my audio interface program while Rocksmith was still running in the background. Maybe it could work if you change it like this too "BufferSizeMode=custom
CustomBufferSize=yourchoice".
Imagine teaching yourself code to play a damn game. My head hurts just pay for a cable.
Sorry to hear, take some ibuprofen fella
