I view this from a different lens. The Manley family felt abit crushed when Bustamante was chosen to be first prime minister for newly 'free' Jamaica...with Norman pushed to the side. Michael was groomed to reclaim that name by any means. To be written in history as something different and uniquely bonding with the people. Filled with charm and intelligence, he played the game if politics very well in that he knew how to articulate his ideas well and even knowing how yo evade skeptics. Unfortunately, this is why i hate the game of politics because they never suffer directly, the ppl do and often it takes an entire generation to see any ounce of repair. Both Manley and Seaga apparently were necessary for Jamaica's growth n development. People benefited greatly from their decisions and leadership.
