the most romantic part of King Harald V marriage to Sonja is that he said if he couldn't marry her he wouldn't marry at all, making it so that Olav had to accept the marriage to ensure the future of the norwegian monarchy. The abdication-card was also used by Haakon VII during WWII when the norwegian gouvernment contemplated giving in to Hitler's demands of surrender. Haakon said that if they decided to accept the deal he and his son would both abdicate the crown and norway would lose it's monarchy after just a few years. Killed at a wedding? Sounds like George R. R. Martin got a prime invite
hey Scandinavian Royalty I am really enjoying these documentaries in on the Royals very interesting :) but o noticed episode one and episode two the volume is messed up like one minute you would hear them speaking and the next it will turn off you do this on and off throughout the whole videos on both episodes....so just to let you know ok.....
Sound keeps going off. Very frustrating
I'm always amazed at how much queen Marg looks like queen Alexandra!!! Very beautiful lady
Marg?
Sorry, Queen Margrethe
this is a great & interesting method for the viewers to learn & understand about the european royals lineage history.... much respect for this effort...
Please correct the sound on this video.
I love shows like this but it’s very annoying when the sound continually goes out. I won’t be watching the rest.
Again 8:08 into this documentary we loose the sound. Just as they announce the death of one of the daughter’s of Fredrick IIX just days after he becomes king.
Why don't you put the ..for educational purposes ... disclaimer in the beginning so you can put on the full version of this instead of wasting people's time with half the show being muted ..ffs
Unfortunately so much of the voice missing. If possible, you should redo most of the sound. I still enjoyed learning about the family, thank you!
Pity dialogue is missing . I can remember from childhood . Certain members Olaf of Norway . Jean of Luxembourg. Willamin of Holland..Later Charlotte would often be with her husband G.D. Jean as guests of the Queen. He was given the commandment of the Irish Guards
Sound is gone 8:00 to 8:35
This video has segments of no sound!oh I see your response and you respond by saying the sound is gone in segments bc of copyright issues. Yes, subtitles in those segments would be appreciated. Episode 1 and 2 have missing sound segments.
At approximately 15 minutes the sound disappears again for a while.
21:10 she gave birth to Frederick first (heir to the throne) then Joachim.
There are several sound lapses after the first 8 minutes and scattered throughout after with in the first 20 minutes of the documentary lasting up to 2 minutes at one time in places. It is very frustrating. Please consider subtitling this documentary series.
I’d like to be able to hear the whole thing so please re-unload this with real sound where there are parts where you can’t hear anything
Danish royaties were good looking...the 3 sisters were beautiful
The sound goes out so many times that I don't know what is going on.
9:32 Actually, the king died at a brothel ...
Where are those subtitles that should compensate for the lost sound?
Please fix the audio so we can understand it breaking up on part one and part two
Love the series but they should have substituted something for sound like unused audio of the Royals so I didn’t fiddle with the sound! Figured it out in the first installment...The Danish Royal Family is my favorite!
It’s frustrating when the sound goes off. Dialogue is much important
my Gosh...These royalties really know their history...
This good but annoying for the sound cuts out so one does not get to hear it all.
Good video's....shame about the poor quality audio!
It was just too difficult to follow when the sound was muted and there were a lot of spots where this occurred.
This series is great, but the audio lapses are not!
Shame the sound goes on and off.

See the message by the host.
If we got a dollar every time the narrator says "the father-in-law of Europe" LOL
Again at ca 16 minutes and 17 minutes the sound disappears.
King harald, so far is my favorite king
Would be interesting if not for the constant cutting out of sound.
"Who like himself/herself is a descendent of the father-in-law of Europe"
I've startet using variations this line when describing a person or a couple to other people.
It has been received by by a mixture of polite curiosity, bewildered doubt and total confusion, mostly the latter as the rest of the sentence tend to be in norwegian.
I thought it was my new iPad. I ff threw the min.. UA-cam’s double standards on copy right... we can’t get these series .. so ty
