The moment I saw the Romanian Royals (King Michael, Queen Anne and the current Queen Margarita) I teared... These people are uncommonly special, fully devoted to their country and nation... So was Queen-mother Helen as well... Romania needs something new, that could make it stronger and that could guarantee better education and prosperity amongst the Romanian people... Romanians are in large number willing to restore the monarchy, but it is very hard since many of them haven’t understood yet how important it was for my country and how important it could be again.. The lies they’ve been told during communism are now very visible, since many still refuse to believe that King Michael was the poorest in the exile amongst all the other exiled kings and queens in Europe... The communists framed his abdication and partition from Romania. They embarked him and his mother on a very long train who was supposed to have carried all their riches... a very fake widespread lie. But I am hopefully and optimistically looking forward in the future that Romania will once again embrace the idea of being a kingdom. Long live Her Majesty, Queen Margarita of Romania! 🇷🇴
I agree, the Romanian royal family really did a lot of great things in Romania during their reign. King Michael had a right to take what he and his family owned. I'm sure life in exile wasn't always a bed of roses.
God, the Greek people can't really make up their minds for the first half of the 20th century, can they? I can't imagine the pressure the royal family must have been under for generations being booted out and taken back in suddenly. You could never really feel secure like that. Greece would probably be better off with them in charge nowadays, but it's probably too late.
Today in Europe there are 10 countries that have monarchies. They are the richest and most highly developed and democratic. Greece has always been somewhat unstable. Perhaps these poorer countries like Romania, Bulgaria and Greece don't deserve to have a royal family.

I m speaking about King Michael of Romania, cause he was the King of my country. He was born in Romania as a romanian. But his grandmother ,Queen Maria of Romania was the grand daughter of Queen Victoria, born in Ashford,Kent,England. So,metaphorical speaking, he was born into two languages.Romanian and English. Not to mention his perfect German language, from his grandfather part,Ferdinand I,King of Great Romania(Hohenzollern- Sigmaringen),and the other grandfather, Alfred of Saxa- Coburg - Gotha,Duke of Edinburgh ,son of Queen Victoria.
I object to comments about British not speaking other languages. I speak Gaelic, English, french, welsh,, Irish Gaelic and British sign language fluently, I also speak Italian enough to communicate, and same with Japanese.
She wasn't really. She was very childlike and wanted to keep her children as babies always. When her grandson Henry, later Duke of Gloucester, was a teenager, she was still giving him presents suitable for a 5 year old.
I love King Constatine II! Extremely handsome. I feel bad for he and his wife losing everything. I know how that feels. I had no idea what a fickle country Greece was. It seems that they were never content with the person THEY elected to rule, They needed a country of ''bigger power'' to keep their silly asses in line. What a MESS!!!!
the Greeks never elected a monarch! they were given Otto of Bavaria at first, kicked him out when he refused to give a democratic constitution and then the great powers of the time imposed a 17 year old danish prince as the King of Greece
My favorite Royals are Queen Sofia, a splendid woman of utmost class , grace ,consideration, suffering, patience, loyalty, dedication, warmth, sincerity and steadfast endurance . God bless the Spanish Queen, the best Spanish Royal. Queen Margarethe of Denmark , what an awesome sovereign of the First Class.Totally engaging, brilliant, invigorating, practical, dedicated, winsome and good heartfelt sincerity and a cheerful magnetic charming person .The best tempered sovereign of our time.

It intrigues me to understand why Greece voted closely to be a Republic and scrap their Monarchy. At these present times a Royal Family could have had a strong cohesive factor, in a human person being there for the Government and the people in a neutral way.
The truth is that Greeks didnt like their kings, because they always intervened in politics. Especially kings Constantine I and Constantine II. They were trying to rule as absolut monarchs by violeting the Constitution and created during their reign political chaos. The only exception was indeed King George I.
Well we fired them because they didn’t do their job properly. Constantine 2,he plotted,to establish a dictatorship with generals of the army, but the colonels were faster. There,we had a military junta that lasted for seven years. He never respected democracy, and the parastate blossomed. The dynasty was never welcomed in the hearts of the Greek people. The referendum that took place in 1974,proved that, when 70%of the people voted for republic, and against kingship.
Well as a Dane, who watched the English Royals and all their scandals, snobbery. I actually get why some are feed up with it. In other hand, I have a hard to find any negative about our Danish Royals. I do see some balance, they are opened minded and outspoken. I dont envy them, even Frederik the crown prince had a hard time accepting his fate and I get it. They do have a fine role as a rolemodel and they do a great job. The critical part are the media and magasins, they are heavy in making into a snob club. BS everything on what is happening in the Royals. That is the pathetic part. Am I a Royalist? Dont know, got nothing against the Danish Royals, on a objectiv stand, is it better to have none? Without any role models? Tricky question and have no answers. Especially when they do such a good job in this open outspoken way. One thing though a true Democracy have a horisontal pride organisation form, not vertical dog pack. Which today seems becomming more centralized and more vertical for each year. With out the Royals influence. When they comes down to earth as they do, kinda give the impression of that flat horisontal organisation form. The symbol of the Lions pride. Would rather have our Royals than a General dictator.
There are no such people as 'English royals'. England is not a sovereign country. They are the BRITISH royal family and despite your curious comments about 'scandals and snobbery' they are much respected and admired as revealed at the death of Queen Elizabeth and the accession of King Charles. Interesting that you have this idea of the greater openness of the Danish monarchy as against the British. Try being a researcher or academic and try and get access to royal archives in Denmark, Norway and Sweden. They are largely closed whereas the royal archives at Windsor and the vast range of the royal collections are much more available and transparent in their dealings. Britain remains in every sense the worlds premier monarchy.
I'm American but I just can't get enough of all the Royals. It's just so fascinating.

@@baleevet I've noticed that Europeans tend to have more language ability than non Europeans. I exclude the British who tend to be lingualistically lazy. My best friend is a Hohenzollern and speaks perfect English, better than many English natives.
Thank you for the history update
I enjoyed it
Poor Greeks They have had tough times.
Who wants to be King of Greece this week?
Not me
Queen Alexandra of England was very down to earth.
She wasn't really. She was very childlike and wanted to keep her children as babies always. When her grandson Henry, later Duke of Gloucester, was a teenager, she was still giving him presents suitable for a 5 year old.
@@mscott3918 She was still a lovely and kindly woman though, despite her faults.
@@zzzbbbooo Oh certainly.
It seems to me that if a monarch is forced into exile not once but twice, if the king is a "puppet" king, perhaps it is a "shakey" throne. IMHO
So very well done
"Don't Say we dont cover alot of ground in this family" lol
Thank you for this
Milyen szép még mindig a királynő
Karizmatikus egyéniség.
Tammy Incoln , a good slap required!
the Greeks never elected a monarch! they were given Otto of Bavaria at first, kicked him out when he refused to give a democratic constitution and then the great powers of the time imposed a 17 year old danish prince as the King of Greece
An incredibly humble and noble man. Totally unassuming and down to earth. The last of his kind.
Unlike other foreign kings greek kings never stopped interfering in politics in a most horrible way
So much history and very interesting.
Rest in Peace Prince Amedeo, 5th Duke of Aosta
I love watching about the royals
Beautiful lady and the whole family!🥰
I love the series, thank you for uploading.
So much Baden and Battenberg in the Gustavs, the Mountbatten and Princess Alice taking just a gruel and bread and butter. RIP Constantine II.
Hey there great video. I love the entire idea of monarchy.
I would like to know who or what these "great powers" are?
I liked how she said "what a life I lead" at the end. Haha
Delightful! Beautifully done.

Watching from South Africa
The King and Queen of Greek are not even Greek 🧐 that’s why Greek people forget them easily
what a heap of simplistic and ignorant nonsense 🙄
Royalty saved Greece from the Turks,
this is addicting to watch... waiting for episode 6.
I know this was a different time, but the thought of a 15-year old girl crying under a staircase is very sad. Why would the king have picked the absolute youngest of the choices?
she was the one he liked, I guess .........
Thank u so much for the upload. I enjoyed watching
I read a book that had Queen Olga as a subject. It was good. It was called "From Splendor to Revolution." It was very good. I even reviewed it on my channel. Great book. I would recommend it. :-)
Thanks,. I'll look for it. I'm a readaholic and history buff. I'm ashamed to admit this, but I have bad insomnia, and when I absolutely have to sleep, I open the book on the Russian Revolution. It's so convoluted, I fall asleep quickly. It taxes my brain 🤔🤔🤔
@@servraghgiorsal7382 Would you like me to send you the link? I have so many books on royal women that I have read. I think I have 30 books on that particular playlist. Thank you so much for you comment. That is the one thing i like about social media. I does bring people together with similar interests.
RIP Prince Philip
Very very Beautiful thanks my Dear 💕💕💕
Love the Danish Queen.
It intrigues me to understand why Greece voted closely to be a Republic and scrap their Monarchy. At these present times a Royal Family could have had a strong cohesive factor, in a human person being there for the Government and the people in a neutral way.
Yep, that makes sense......
OMG, are you deranged?
The royals should not be role models for anyone, that's not why they exist - they are representatives of their country.
But It breaks my heart what happened to the Russian royal family.
18:18 😳
The intensity.
Thank you!!
Queen Margerethe is very interesting.
Hello Debra
Well done.
The German Kaiser was not invited to Denmark as he was NOT related to the Danish Royal family
