    I enjoyed the video. I have not seen too many problems like the second one you did, but it was interesting. Most of the problem I have done on my videos are like the last one you did. Thanks.

    In the first problem, could you also find the tension by using the negative of mg(since upwards is positive; g should be a negative acceleration) and then applying some trig since we already know our mass and angle of theta? I'm assume that the Ty component of the tension is just the opposite of mg.
    Thanks. Great channel and video!

    why is Tx = Tsintheta and not Tcostheta ?

      @MamosebetsiChaoane 7 місяців тому +7

      Because right angled triangleis formed and Tx is opposite to the theta
      So when using SOH CAH TOA you will find that side as Tsintheta no Tcostheta

    Why would the answer for (ii) only take into account equation for m2 when there is also a force labeled T extending from m1? 24:41

    Why didn't you use the length in the first problem to find Tx or Ty? Its the hypotenuse so why don't you just find ac that way?

    When people talk about how much they weight they talk about how much kilograms they weight but kilograms are units of mass and weight are in units of force, newtons, because weight is a force. So, why do we refer to weight in units of kilograms instead of using units of newtons. In orher words, If I am 95Kg I should say I weight 931 newtons instead of saying I weight 95Kg. My mass is 95Kg and I weight 931N. Therefore, a scale is a mass measuring device and not a weight scale. When I buy 1kg of tomatos, I'm actually buying 9.8 newtons of tomatos.😮

    Hello, Physics Ninja. Thanks for this awesome video.
    I understood everything explained in the video except for the last thing you mentioned about the mass m2 SPIRALLING DOWN.
    Could you kindly elaborate on that? Why will that mass m2 spiral down if the velocity is less?
    It would be of great help if you assist me with my question or refer me to another video or book for the explanation of my question.
    Thanks!
