Just bought this kit the upgraded camera. Been on my work bench for about a month now. Kinda nervous about pulling out the radio, on my 2019 SR5, not sure how to do that, so I'll provably find another video for that. Looks great. I have a similar bumper ordered with a low profile bull bar so it was good to see your placement and the view that I can expect mounting it where you did. Just subscribed to your channel, Classy. You make this look so easy. Doing all the wiring connections on the work bench is a great idea. Something I never really thought of.
Hey Jeff, was curious how the install for you went? I have a 2019 sr5 as well and have been thinking about getting the camera. Where did you find to be a good place for the camera itself?
@@natejoyce2876 regretfully, the camera setup is still on a shelf in my garage. I haven’t gotten to it yet. There are several videos on UA-cam about this particular camera product.
Every time I watch your install vids money leaves my wallet ....was thinking I have never seen anyone with that wire strip tool. Bought mine back in late 80’s. Use all the time
Ah the bull bar, I wondered why you said you had placement issues. Looks pretty good where you've got it. I'm pretty happy with my install, but may consider upgrading the camera at some point. Thanks for sharing!
I tried to do this mod crimping everything together in the truck and it was a total fail. The little wires are not easy to get crimped right and kept pulling out. I followed what you did with the solder tube splices on a table. They worked great.
Yes, the upgraded camera has 3 options/ wires that can be cut. Cutting the green wire would remove the lines. I thought it would bug me too, but so far not bothering me. Thanks for watching.
Rear camera is the stock factory camera that was already there. Yes, You can flip between both cameras on the fly by using the toggle switch. Thanks for watching.
Yes, I can toggle between front and rear anytime. Video stays on as long as the switch is pushed in to the desired camera. Reverse works like normal. I have not tried the front camera while in reverse yet. Thanks for watching.

Hey. On my kit the grey and blue wires where for the back light on switch. Used a add a fuse at inside fuse box.
Thanks for letting me know. I appreciate it. I will look into it.
Is this just for your stock radio or can I use this on my 1st gen Tacoma?
This kit is for the stock radio. But if you have an aftermarket radio you could find other set ups that will work for you.
Should be able to cut some other wires to get the lines to go away within the feed right? That would bug the crap out of me.

Do not need any fuse?
As far as I know, no you do not. It runs off the factory radio.
