I was the JV offensive and defensive line coach and I was a Varsity assistant coach. Didn’t have an official title for Varsity but helped call plays during games and coached up the O and D line still during practice and games. Closest thing would be an Offensive Quality Control Coach, but I basically did whatever was needed to help the team win.
I played for the team back in high school and decided to reach out to the head coach when I was looking for a college internship. They brought me in and liked how I worked well enough to hire me as a coach. Over the course of a season I worked my way up through the coaching ranks until I was helping out on both JV and Varsity. I absolutely loved it and I’d still be doing it if I didn’t go to law school!
