I agree with everything you said in this video. I would like to add that you will get better retention if you never end an ongoing class. Just recycle the lessons. If someone starts on week 8 and you stop on week 10, they'll never be able to do lesson 1 through 7 unless they re-enroll in a different time or day. I let them stay until they want to leave. I've had some students stay in my ongoing math class for 3 months, even though we do the same 10 games over and over again.
Omg what an amazing idea for scheduling!!!! I usually write out my classes in a list on paper to make sure I’m scheduling everything but having them in the column and color coded is sooooooo smart!!!!!!! -Micaela
Currently experiencing the multi day class slump but the ongoing class tip is a great idea! I offer an art ongoing class but I’ve only gotten two enrolled the past 2 weeks. Definitely going to plan the thanksgiving and Christmas breaks. I believe the bulk of classes will come from those holiday break camps since they won’t have school. Thanks a bunch!
Thank you for the schedule freebie!! I am looking forward to working with it. I must get better about scheduling further ahead. Keep up all of your great work, Catherine!
As usual, great information. I'm a little confused about the multi-day class. Are classes offered on the same day and time each week for a number of weeks...i.e. on Mondays from 9:00 - 9:40 for four weeks? Or are classes offered a couple of days a week @ the same time for a number of weeks? These are just examples. I'm also at a point where I'm revamping my Outschool schedule due to students going back to school and of course me as a teacher. After offering one time classes, I thought I would try ongoing classes and now I'm trying to wrap my head around multi-day classes. Thanks!
Hi Catherine, I am applying to Outschool tomorrow and have touched base with you via email. Please let me know if you have received this as I would like to use your referral/support. Many thanks, Stacey (from New Zealand).

I agree, ongoing classes are KEY!
Another helpful video! I only teach on weekends and I find mornings to still be a good time for bookings.

Thanks for this video! I’m trying to get better about planning as far out as I can. How far out do you typically plan? :)
I needed this so much!!! Thank you!!
I am wanting to teach a flex class and was wondering if you had any tips for getting enrollments for those?
