Cheers to that, I mean I got to admit my favorite character in all the series was darkstalker, he was just so well developed in the legends series and seeing how it fit into the actual story in arc 2 was just gold.
Arc 1 had such an amazing, well thought out plot Arc 2 had phenomenal characters Arc 3 had captivating world building Arc 2 had the most qibli. All things considered, I think arc 2 is the best
@@Holy7345 is that even a question lol. McDonald’s sucks in my opinion, so I think Qibli is def better. I bet JMA agrees, but if he replies to this question we’ll see
I think the biggest strength of the franchise is how it handles its significant amount of different protagonists and how each unique lesson is directly connected to their involvement in the story. It’s a job well done when the *theme* of a story and the *plot* of a story come together by the end to bring the inner conflict and the outer conflict full circle as one… but it’s an achievement to have that done a dozen times over with a fresh new concept to explore every time. Each protagonist in this series has a different lesson to learn and a different role to play. I guarantee every reader will find at least one main character that will remind them of themselves and appreciate their growth throughout their time in the books.
So glad someone said how ridiculously lucky the Dragonets of Destiny were to end the war happily with their rushed half baked plan. “Let’s just gather all three SandWing princesses in one place and expect them to talk things out peacefully! Oh! They’re immediately trying to kill each other and then us! Golly it’s a good thing we just happen to be at the very spot where the long lost all powerful queen necklace is unknowingly buried so the scavenger that just happens to be here can dig it up so it can incinerate the deceiving sister AFTER she’s already secretly poisoned the brutal sister which just leaves the harmless one who doesn’t want anything to do with this and will happily accept whoever we decide as queen! Oh boy did we earn this hard worked conclusion!” Sunny do you realize how miraculous it is that you are still alive right now? Everything else about Arc 1’s story was fantastic.
My too, it had an amazing plot. Kinda wished it was more detailed and main characters had more time in books. Hopefully it will be put into WoF tv series
I’ve always valued the character development of the protagonists in this franchise above all else, which is a large reason as to why Arc 3 is my favorite
Yes, dragons eat cake in the Wings of Fire universe. In the Dragonslayer, Wren finds Murderbasket (actually Deathbringer) and tries to convince him to fly her to Burn’s stronghold. Before and while she is trying to convince him, Murderbasket was eating cake.
@@KeyholeGod yeah Clearsight, I forget what chapter it was. Edit: it was when Clearsight, and Listener where getting ready for I think Queen Vigilance Glass Jubilee. And Listener was all exited that she was getting ready in the palace. And Clearsight then said said this like theirs s party every other night etc...
0:22 Dragons probably do have cake, considering that HiveWings apparently had candy shops as seen in book 11. As well as Darkstalker’s after class cooking lessons (if I remember correctly, that is) :]
After adding up the scores I got these results Arc 1: 45 Arc 2: 43 Arc 3: 41 If we assume that the scores are all out of 50, then Arc 1 is objectively the “best” arc. But like JMA said, all of it depends on what you value in a story. All the arcs have different things that they especially excel at, for me I think Arc 1 has the most linear story, Arc 2 has some of the most enjoyable characters and interactions, and Arc 3 has the most new concepts/spins on the world and plot twists that keep you interested. I’d have to agree that Arc 2 is my favourite, but that’s an entirely subjective opinion that anyone is allowed to disagree with.
My favourite arc is All the arcs! I can't choose, they are all so good in their own ways! Wings of Fire is Wings of Fire after all and I love it! But I do agree with all your points You're the best WoF UA-camr I've ever seen!
im re-commenting because my first was just when i had a sample of the video. i love love LOVE THIS! Heck, I love all your videos. Specifically, I love how you broke down the idea but instead of tossing it all aside for the sake of the audience, you've given us information to guide us to choose which you desire. Personally, I favour Darkstalker for its literary masterpiece but the other books are great too! I feel as though arc 2 (specifically books 6 & 7) was kind of a drag off of arc 1, like a sequel thrown out for the audience only with no real effort, but the characters were pure GOLD in their interactions, mindsets and actions. Thank you for opening my, and your audience's, eyes to the possibilities (and for featuring my art :D) and for being great in general! Have a fantastic day JMA!
The first 5 books will always hold a special place in my heart, they were with me from the very second I found The Dragonet Prophecy, tucked away behind the Magic Treehouse books in my 5th grade library. I only really got into the fandom right as book 13 was coming out, but nonetheless, I loved the third arc, its characters and plot are wonderful, and Blue is the cinnamoniest of cinnamon rolls. Best boi, 10/10. I kinda rushed through arc 2, but it's still pretty good. Moon has to be one of the most interesting characters I've read about, because through her, we get to see the points of view of so many other dragons, as well as seeing her go through her own problems. And on top of that, she's the only one who can communicate with the main antagonist, and she's being taught by him, and I'm ranting about Moon because she's one of my favorites lol. Anyway, this series is so special to me, and so is its wonderful fandom.
Ditto on the length of Book 15. Usually books ramble on too long. But #15 REALLY could've used an extra 100 pages or so. There were so many supporting characters and plot threads that just sort of dissappeared by the end. Great video!
Arc 3 is my absolute favourite. I just loved the well-thought-out storyline and I can’t imagine how many months it took to figure out the whole Cottonmouth and Freedom sequence. Another reason I really enjoyed this book was how you could relate to both perspectives of the war (ex: Crickets argument that the HiveWings might be good if they were free and Sundews desperate need for revenge, no matter who she kills on the way) and how much of a muddle it was and then how it was tied together so well in the end. And, of course, you could talk about the INCREDIBLE side characters, like Io, Swordtail, Cinnabar, Tau, Willow, Hazel, Sequoia, etc. My only complaint about arc 3 is that in the first book, Swordtail was this epic fighter who protected his friends, but when Sundew showed up to do the fighting aspect of their story, Swordtail became Luna’s goofy boyfriend who makes stupid jokes.
Nice breakdown I honestly think everything in arc one was top tier. I just enjoy the dragonets so much and how they play off each other like siblings. I do agree to arc three being the weakest yet still great. I do really like arc two, but honestly…I’m not AS much into those characters, they don’t all get along as well but I still love them Mostly Winter and Turtle I enjoy. The Darkstalker plot line is really good but he annoys me sometimes. Arc 2 character development and plot was the glow up more. I just adore the first arc a lot so it’s hard to beat, seeing it has two of my favorite characters (sunny and tsunami :p) so those are things of the arcs I think about and I appreciate the video analysis
I remember when I first started reading I thought Clay was the permanent protag and everything after his book was everyone finding themselves from his perspective
Interesting fact: Dragons have fireworks, this can be found in *Talons of Power* when Turtle describes Peril as: shooting off like a firework. Or something along the lines of that
My favorite arc has to either the first or third (probably third). I love the lore and character development in the third arc, and the plot and vibe of the first. But because of book 8 in the second arc, it was really hard to decide my favorite. Book eight gives us a lot to know about peril, it finally tells us what happens to scarlet, and it introduces chameleon (my favorite character). And after find out that ruby was tourmaline, I’m pretty sure I can say that it is probably my favorite book in the series. But, as you said in the video, the plot was all over the place.
I seriously think that arc 3 is the best, with the most character development IMO with sundew revealing her secret love and snowfall going from paranoid to empathetic and having a crush on sky. Also finally seeing Lunas POV was not what I expected of her but I am not disappointed, especially when we see her true feelings for cricket and how she is a hivewing whom her brother loves, people may choose a different arc as their favourite for various reasons but I have chosen my arc and reasons.
QIB-TASTIC video AS ALWAYS Ralph!!! 🎉😊💯🔥📹👏 Also, that somewhat high-pitched, "QIBLIIII," at 3:53 was precious to my SandWing heart, even Qibli ADORED it (he was right here with me watching the video because we're having a sleepover)! 🙃💛 And ye, I've seen multiple dragons eating cake before in various stories my fellow derg, heheh~ 😂
arc three was probobly my favorite, i love to watch every dragons personalitys and opinions grow ad change based on there findings in their book. also, is it just me or are books 7 and 14 realy hard to read because just about nothing happens, and then OMG its the climax and i am left confused.
You're not wrong, those two are a lot slower paced and filler-y than the rest. (The funny thing is those two are probably my favorite individual books because I like to slow down and spent time with the characters every once in a while, but they really do feel misplaced in the greater scheme of the series.)
I agree on book 7, but to me book 14 was paced really well. Having a dream sequence from another pov every few chapters really helped to keep things moving.
@@legrandliseurtri7495 true, i just find it weird that for me its only icewing perspectives that where hard to read. the only thing that kept me reading book 14 was the dream sequences
This video was beautiful! So many wonderful thoughts just brought together so well. As for the plot... Yeah. Arc 2 was everywhere. Books 6 and 8 are my favs, mostly because they are fun, almost stand alone ideas. And yeah, it was Moon's sheer cuteness, Peril's sheer fieryness, and Qibli's best-bro-ness that made it all great. I about died when Moon's powers were used uniquely in 15. (But yeah... Qibli was kinda just. There.) Also, I know I said it about Darkstalker too a couple vids ago but, Winter's blushiong made me crack up. (And then that second time TOTALLY caught me off guard.) -Also that editing around 8:10 with Luna and Snowfall was just *chef's kiss* The side wipes in particularly were just great. Also, I know I've been raving about arc 2 this whole time, but I'm actulaly torn between arcs 1 and 2. Arc 2 had higher peaks than Arc 1, but Arc 1 was more consistant throughout.
Big agree. Arc 1 was a solid 9/10 the whole way while arc 2 wavered between 6/10 and 11/10 hahaha. I'm glad you liked those edits though! I think my favorite one was getting to call Winter a "gentle burger" in the blushing part. Or maybe the "YEAHHHHHH" on character development because I love character development hahaha
Oddly enough, the first arc is my favorite, apart from Escaping Peril, Tye Hive Queen and Darkstalker being the best books in the series, The Dark Secret was my best read! I really enjoyed it :)
Heya!! I discovered your channel a few months ago; and have become OBSESSED ever since! Memes? Heck YES! And the analysis videos are amazing. I love logic, and your reasoning is definitely logical!!! Big fan right here!! And it’s inspiring too, someday I want to make my own analysis videos like you!!!!
I really enjoyed reading arc 3. I’m not sure exactly why. I thought the whole scavenger/human thing was cool and I liked the theme of the bug dragons and stuff. Also I thought the mind control was so new and unique and honestly.. glows white eyes just looks cool. I liked the others too but I really enjoyed 3.
Ok you’re definitely the best wings of fire UA-camr out there no cap and my favorite UA-camr to you actually make good videos and I really appreciate that love you so much
I love all 3 arcs so I can’t decide which one is the best but I love how you took the time and best explain it which one arch could be the best but I think all 3 arch’s are the best
Oh my gosh I just found out about the WOF final countdown animation yesterday and now it's in the background of this too! By far my favorite wings of fire animation ever!
Yooooooooo the EDITING. What the actual pg-13. Loved the vid. 10/10 for quality and effort. I definitely put characters pretty high up, so I personally preferred arc 2. Holy jeans and socks I went to check the arc 1 AMV and it was pretty insanely amazing. The sheer thought of how much time that took to make. RIP WoF animated series. Edit: saw the vid regarding the series. currently on wait-and-see.
I liked arc three. I kind of liked the tribes and the idea of a plant controlling dragons and stuff. I also loved freedom (the character). This arc made me feel good and I love the character development
I really think that arc 3 was kind of all over the place. First three books are on one continent and then Snowfall just pops in and then it’s just Luna that really does anything useful in book 15. Arc 2 was fine, but it’s just a bit weird and off for some strange reason I can’t figure it out. Arc one was really nice but the end was a bit rushed in book 4-5. The DoDs learning that the prophecy was fake just doesn’t make it better and the fact that a viper saves the day is not that comforting. On the other hand, all of the arcs have solid characters and awesome plots. Buuuuut if it were up to me I would go straight for Darkstalker legends and ditch everything else. That book was just so great. Also I really liked this video. You made so many gods points keep up the hard work!
I read all of the wings of fire books including chapter books, graphic novels, and the legends series I liked arc 1 the most best because they just nailed it, and just like you, the theme and plot are so good. Arc 1 had more of a lesson to learn and the pov of the dragonets of destiny is just amazing. Out of 10, I would give the following: Arc 1 10 Arc 2 9 Arc 3 9 All of them were good and you did a good job rating them!
Loved the video, just overall amazing (top 5 of them for me, but I do love my analysis) only thing to make me even somewhat genuinely smile in months, thanks for that
Arc 2 is my favourite but I always love arc 1 because it was what started the whole series and what sparked a lot of our interests in WOF. Plus Qibli in arc 2. This was amazing and mostly non biased so I loved this video. Keep up the great work JMA!!
7:27 actually Peril learned that in book one, the main thing she learned in this book is that she doesn't need scarlet and that others might actually care for her
honestly, character development is my favorite thing ever when it comes to stories. characters learning a greater lesson in life feels so rewarding at the end of a series also arc 3 had cricket who is literally me in dragon form so obviously i’m choosing arc 3
Cricket's book is my second favorite of Arc Three. Favorite is Snowfall's, who is just dragon-me. Oddly enough, Quibli's book is my favorite WOF book despite not liking him. Has that happened to anyone else?
Arc 1 Pros: Starts off the series, Character Development Cons: Not enough deaths Arc 2 Pros: Qibli, Amazing characters, Darkstalker Cons: Not enough Qibli, Kinkajou doesn’t get her own book Arc 3 Pros: Bumblebee, Sunlow, Lizard/Freedom, Another island, more things to uncover Cons: Makes us question if their or if their is not a third island
:) I like arcs 2 and 3 the best because I love characters and world building the most. Arc 3 brings up such an interesting world I hadn’t seen before, so I absolutely loved it (well mostly books 11 and 12 after that it trails off) and arc 2 had AMAZING characters! Honestly I think it’s fairly realistic the way that winter went right back as he was under a lot of stress and he’d started to ask questions but didn’t have time to answer them before being thrown back into conflict, where he followed his usual pattern. By book 14 he has learned to answer those questions, but probably slowly and in a way that isn’t interesting to a reader.
I love Arc 3 AND YOU WON’T CHANGE MY MIND also arc 3 existed cuz tui wanted to give clearsight a more hopeful ending for the ones who didn’t know.I love arc 3 cuz I LOVE the character development but mabye that’s just me being me
Arc 2 is my favorite because of all the action and friendship that just told the 5 dragonets of the jade winglet that they are meant for each other and how on book 10 they became in a unstoppable friendship against darkstalker!
This was a great video; it did point out a few things I'd kind of looked over. Personally I'd always felt that Arc 2 was my favorite too! I didn't have any thing against Arc 1, I really liked it! Arc 2 stood out to me for some reason, and Arc 3 just kind of faded back for me, idk lol
I enjoyed that you performed the breakdown for the separate arcs and then in the end instead of using the hard numbers to decide which was best you qualified it with personal opinion in the form of a weight being placed on each category. I can't speak for everyone but I already had the determination of my favorite arc before I watched this and it was arc 2. Confirmation bias partially blinded me to the issues with the arc. At first, I would have rated it a flat 10 across the board, metaphorically speaking, but they would have been higher than they deserved. After watching this and seeing your explanations about why you gave the arc 2s plot and theme the rating you did, I do understand it, perhaps more so than I would have if I had just been thinking about it alone, and can now see the issues I was once blind to. However, instead of pushing these issues and forcing them to degrade my appreciation of the arc you outline the issues while glorifying what I truly enjoyed about arc 2, which was of course the protagonists and their perspectives, and allowing that weight to form the reasoning why I enjoy the arc. Very diplomatically done. Great job!
Arc 2 is my favourite but arc 1 comes in close. Because of my amazing Sunny gurl, my sassy Glory queen, My Bada$$ Tsunami, My big, strong cuddly Clay and Protective Starflight! They all are super amazing and would love more books to come out!
I like arc 2 the most too, and I agree with a lot of your judgement. :) Arc 1 had such an incredible plot. Carefully thought out and incredibly written Arc 2 is my favorite arc with amazing characters. It has flaws in some ways(my winter got done dirty) but is still incredible Arc 3 had incredible character development and an intriguing world. But I think it fell short in the climax of the arc Also, I think Winter's character development was less of forgotten, and more of put on hold. He learned a ton, but we don't see much of this in the rest of arc 2. But he was dealing with some serious problems, Darkstalker mind controlled him(kinda) and tried to wipe out his entire tribe, and Moon was best friends with DS. Winter certainly developed, but in such a serious situation he wasn't able to hold back. But by the end of arc 2 and in book 14 we see how the development has really taken hold. He looks back on how he treated Moon and the others and regrets it, and he hangs out with Kinkajou.(which made me so happy!!) And we see him in book 14, a new dragon helping create a town for any who need it. So, I think his development was just paused for a bit.
I generally just love all of them but I especially love arc 3 because you can see characters from literally every book working together. It just really ties off the series while including all of the characters we know and love.
I always am warry of "what is best" videos but I actually really like this one! The conclusion of "it depends on what you're looking for" is probably one of the best conclusions ive seen for one. I too enjoy the characters the most in a story and for that arc 2 is also my favorite (though I still really love all the arcs)
What I love about Qibli’s character is that when we get book 10, he isn’t a funny character anymore and he’s mostly emotional, and what’s even more hilarious is that almost immediately after book 10 he becomes his normal self with hints of his book 10 personality sometimes 😂
My favorite has to be arc one. I loved the characters the most in arc two, but arc one still had good characters and I liked the smoother plot, expect for the end. Also, nostalgia makes me biased
a) Arc 1 is the greatest; the War of SandWing Succession and the Dragonet Prophecy tie things together really well. b) Arc 2 is a decent follow-up but too inconsistent. c) Arc 3 was either unnecessary or should've been written differently. By the way, I love your avatar.
Hi I'm new to this channel and can I say that I absolutely love it. You have such great ways of pointing out all the differences in the arcs and have such good content that I had to subscribe.
My favorite is by far Arc 1. I agree characters are the most important part of a story, but I say arc 1 has that. The DODs are my top 5 favorite characters! And by far the best theme
Plot in Arc 1 was epic and continued through out the books. Arc 2's characters where like what everyday teenagers in this day and age are going through. Arc 3....I'm yet to finish the last book. But so far for me Arc 1 is the winner because it introduced the world and was over all consistent in each of the five categories. Although I think Tsunami's character development didn't show in the other books because of how the other dragonets viewed her and the pace at which the story's were going at. Arc two was ... okay ..Moon is like me in trying to gain confidence in my self and my talent, Winter is how I'm trying to be neutral about people until I meet them no matter what every one else says, Qibli is smart, funny, and over all enjoyable to be in the head of (though the fact his family was so manipulative disgusts me), Peril was like a abused child trying to find out what is normal in a family and what isn't, also how to think for ones self, Turtle was like how Starflight was the beginning but developed into a completely dragon and learned that sometimes hard choices need to be made to save those you love. Arc three I hope to update on soon (But so far it has been one hell of a rollercoaster)!!
I honestly don’t know which arc is my favorite, because everything that you said in the video is true! The characters, themes, and plot are all such important factors, and they are all so different in every arc, making it impossible to choose.
Well im finnish so the arc two has not even come out yet but after i saw this video i cant wait to read it i have always thought arc one has wonderfull chracters so i cant wait to read the arc two books (nice video btw)
Darkstalker : I am an all powerful being with limits and nothing can stop me MUHAHAHA Strawberry: Oki I see ur point but wut if I just recreate ur entire being? Darkstalker : wait why Peacemaker: hewo I am very happy and nice
Arc 2 is my favourite because is just wild as heck and somehow reminds me of the plot pattern for masters of the air eventhough they are absolutely different stuff. Also at 5:59 don't forget Tsunami. She did a fantastic support role in Arc 3. Also JMA explain what makes a story important and interesting easier than my English teacher 🤣
i honestly think arc 3 had great themes and character development, and sundew was so well written i fawn over her writing. arc 3 tackled racism head-on and empathy is so very very important. its only my least favorite arc because luna and snowfall can go jump off a bridge. arc 2 is my favorite because, even if moon is my least favorite character and i hope she burns in the deepest pits of the underworld, the characters were amazing! i love how they tackled animus magic, which was such a mystery in the first book. i enjoy all the characters and find turtle very relatable, i think all the plot twists and turns made it so interesting to read. and arc one was 5/10 because no sunny x starflight.
As someone who has only read up to book 13, I have to say arc 3 is my favourite. I think the author's increase in experience after writing the first two really shows. I loved arc 2, and it still by far has my favourite characters, but I'm finding the plot much more interesting in 3. In arc one, the protagonists are kinda just jumping from kingdom to kingdom (or I guess they'd be queendoms or something) and getting captured a bunch. Arc 2 is nice, but there's less of that wonder as in the first arc since, unlike in arcs 1 and 3, this is the same continent again. Plus, unlike arc 1, the arc 2 protagonists already know the place decently well. I think arc 3 is a perfect balance, and I think the characters have good motivations. Imo arc 2 feels a lot weirder since I read the book 6 graphic novel, because it makes you question a lot more why the characters are helping each other. After all they'd only known each other for 2-3 days when they embarked to go help winter.
Your videos cheer me up I have been abused my whole life and struggle with mental health everyday thank you you make my hell of a life seem a little brighter thank you
Arc 1 is the most well done overall, Id say, but I'm partial to Arc 2. Has a lot of great characters alongside some good side characters, and I rather like the core I guess 'moral' of the tale.
Great vid ralph! ❤❤❤ sending love as always Personally I think the first arc was the best, then the second, and then the third. The originals were the best 😎😎😎 Also, I DEFINITELY value plot/storylines the most when I read a book. The flow of the plot is what determines whether or not I enjoy it, for the most part. A satisfying beginning, rising action, and then ending (including themes, which are also really important to me) are how I score the WOF books (and any other books). P.S. your giddy Qibli laugh made my day 🤣🤣🤣
The Second Arc has beautiful characters, and to anyone who reads the experience of reading and stepping into their shoes is the most important thing. Also, Turtle is underrated and definitely did a lot of things.
Arc 2 is definitely my favorite. The plot may be a mess but it's an enjoyable mess. The characters really made it special though(even Winter).
Cheers to that, I mean I got to admit my favorite character in all the series was darkstalker, he was just so well developed in the legends series and seeing how it fit into the actual story in arc 2 was just gold.

Damn imagine being a person trying to eat a dragon sized cake.
I just read this part and I fucking lost it when she decided the best possible translation was "murder basket"

Dragons probably do have cake, considering that HiveWings apparently had candy shops as seen in book 11. As well as Darkstalker’s after class cooking lessons (if I remember correctly, that is) :]
I think Darkstalker(the book) even mentions that he smells like cinnamon rolls. Or it could be just cinnamon, I haven't read Darkstalker in a while
And also in Dragonslayer when Wren convinced Murderbasket (Deathbringer) to fly her to the Sand Kingdom. He was eating a cake. :)

Same! I also think it’s a great day when he uploads! Second is my favorite too!

Arc 2 is my favorite, though I agree that it’s a bit of a mess. I really like the Jade Winglet’s adventures and how they interact.
Soo truee
It is messy but moon and qibli seemed to be the more consistent ones
I agree but I also like arc 3
After adding up the scores I got these results
Arc 1: 45
Arc 2: 43
Arc 3: 41
If we assume that the scores are all out of 50, then Arc 1 is objectively the “best” arc. I’d have to agree that Arc 2 is my favourite, but that’s an entirely subjective opinion that anyone is allowed to disagree with.
honestly my ranking too
My favourite arc is
All the arcs!
I can't choose, they are all so good in their own ways!
Wings of Fire is Wings of Fire after all and I love it!
But I do agree with all your points
You're the best WoF UA-camr I've ever seen!
Same
Bro, this is good. I love the planning. I always repeat your videos because they’re so good!
Same
im re-commenting because my first was just when i had a sample of the video.
i love love LOVE THIS!
Me: *was watching Pokémon memes*
JMA: *Uploads*
Me: “This is no time for Pokémon- ITS TIME FOR DRAGONS-”
2:19 why did I start laughing here
(yes I watched the video twice I had nothing else to do yet your also my fav youtuber now)
I remember when I first started reading I thought Clay was the permanent protag and everything after his book was everyone finding themselves from his perspective
I also thought same, kinda wish protagonists in arc 1 had more details and importance. Still Clay is my favorite in whole Wof
Any more emojis and the servers would crash
@@wall_lizard Three moons... 🌙🌙🌙 Lmao 🤣
arc three was probobly my favorite, i love to watch every dragons personalitys and opinions grow ad change based on there findings in their book.
also, is it just me or are books 7 and 14 realy hard to read because just about nothing happens, and then OMG its the climax and i am left confused.
There.)
Also, I know I said it about Darkstalker too a couple vids ago but, Winter's blushiong made me crack up. (And then that second time TOTALLY caught me off guard.)
-Also that editing around 8:10 with Luna and Snowfall was just *chef's kiss* The side wipes in particularly were just great.
@@JadeMountainArchive I didn't see the gentle burger text!
Now I'm sad, I'd sword I read all that flavor text (and most of it made me laugh!)
I hope you do! They're going to be awesome videos :D
Ok you’re definitely the best wings of fire UA-camr out there no cap and my favorite UA-camr to you actually make good videos and I really appreciate that love you so much
Arc 2 is my favorite because of the relatable, enjoyable, and developed characters :) especially peril, winter, and turtle!
QIBLI TOO
I love all 3 arcs so I can’t decide which one is the best but I love how you took the time and best explain it which one arch could be the best but I think all 3 arch’s are the best
2nd arc is my personal favorite :)
Arc 2 left behind so many unresolved story arcs that Arc 3 had to dedicate a whole book just clean it up.
Arc two because QIBLI LIKE COULD ANY ARC BE BETTER THAN THE ONE WITH QIBLIS BOOK I THINK NOT
Facts
Oh my gosh I just found out about the WOF final countdown animation yesterday and now it's in the background of this too! By far my favorite wings of fire animation ever!
That is perhaps the best WoF video on the internet in my opinion hahaha
Why did you use it in the first place? Even if it’s good
@@JadeMountainArchive i think you like qibli more than arc 3
I couldn't stop reading snow falls book
Ik i loved it
3:53 - " QIBLIEEHEHEEEE!!!
Jade mountain all the way
Yooooooooo the EDITING.
3:58 I love that bro found the most SEDUCTIVE quibli photo, amazing artwork (even if it wasn’t made by you)
I liked arc three.
Out of 10, I would give the following:
Arc 1 10
Arc 2 9
Arc 3 9
All of them were good and you did a good job rating them!
Loved the video, just overall amazing (top 5 of them for me, but I do love my analysis) only thing to make me even somewhat genuinely smile in months, thanks for that
JMA with another banger video!
Arc 2 is my favourite but I always love arc 1 because it was what started the whole series and what sparked a lot of our interests in WOF. Plus Qibli in arc 2. This was amazing and mostly non biased so I loved this video. Keep up the great work JMA!!
7:27 actually Peril learned that in book one, the main thing she learned in this book is that she doesn't need scarlet and that others might actually care for her
honestly, character development is my favorite thing ever when it comes to stories.
characters learning a greater lesson in life feels so rewarding at the end of a series
also arc 3 had cricket who is literally me in dragon form so obviously i’m choosing arc 3
Cricket's book is my second favorite of Arc Three. Favorite is Snowfall's, who is just dragon-me.
Oddly enough, Quibli's book is my favorite WOF book despite not liking him.
Has that happened to anyone else?
Pov: JMA uploaded and he talks about the entire wof series
0.0
Arc 1 Pros: Starts off the series, Character Development Cons: Not enough deaths
Arc 2 Pros: Qibli, Amazing characters, Darkstalker Cons: Not enough Qibli, Kinkajou doesn’t get her own book
Arc 3 Pros: Bumblebee, Sunlow, Lizard/Freedom, Another island, more things to uncover Cons: Makes us question if their or if their is not a third island
Aren't there 6 dragons in the Jade Winglet? Moon, Kinkajou, Peril, Turtle, Winter, and Qibli
There is Umber the MudWing, he rlly is forgettable
This was a great video; it did point out a few things I'd kind of looked over. Personally I'd always felt that Arc 2 was my favorite too! I didn't have any thing against Arc 1, I really liked it! Arc 2 stood out to me for some reason, and Arc 3 just kind of faded back for me, idk lol
Jade Mountain, next question./j
Mom, look, the new JMA video is out!
Great job!
Arc 2 easily. Great characters (Darkstalker, Kinkajou, Qibli, Winter, etc.) and a great plot!
honestly my favorite was arc 1 but:
i haven’t finished arc 3
and there’s a definite nostalgia thing for arc 1
4:20
I love this frame!
Besides Qibli, Cricket is my favorite character in WOF.
I love arc 2. I loved everything about it.
Arc 1 had such an incredible plot. Carefully thought out and incredibly written
Arc 2 is my favorite arc with amazing characters. It has flaws in some ways(my winter got done dirty) but is still incredible
Arc 3 had incredible character development and an intriguing world. But I think it fell short in the climax of the arc
Also, I think Winter's character development was less of forgotten, and more of put on hold.
JMA: Which arc is the best?
Me: *yes*
a) Arc 1 is the greatest; the War of SandWing Succession and the Dragonet Prophecy tie things together really well.
b) Arc 2 is a decent follow-up but too inconsistent.
c) Arc 3 was either unnecessary or should've been written differently.
By the way, I love your avatar.
Hi I'm new to this channel and can I say that I absolutely love it. You have such great ways of pointing out all the differences in the arcs and have such good content that I had to subscribe.
Another amazing video JMA! Keep making awesome content!
Tsunami also learned that jumping to fighting in every situation isnt the way to go and to think ahead more, in her book.
“Qibliiii!” Got me on the ground laughing 😂
It's like Ralph prepared for this his whole life. This was like an essay, but that's why I loved it! ❤😍
Definitely prepared my whole life for the "Qibli is the best character in Wings of Fire" video hahah
Arc three I hope to update on soon (But so far it has been one hell of a rollercoaster)!!
dragons actually do eat cake as stated in darkstalker where it is stated that queen Vigilance throws a lot of parties where cakes are needed
Excellent. I shall use this information wisely.
I honestly don’t know which arc is my favorite, because everything that you said in the video is true! The characters, themes, and plot are all such important factors, and they are all so different in every arc, making it impossible to choose.
Arc 1 is always going to be my favorite just because it has lots of nostalgia and also has one of the most beautiful storyboard's out of all
Well im finnish so the arc two has not even come out yet but after i saw this video i cant wait to read it i have always thought arc one has wonderfull chracters so i cant wait to read the arc two books (nice video btw)
For arc 2, there was also Sora (I forget which brother it was) and Icicle as supporting characters, they played a PRETTY big role in the first book
The animations are so good well done!
Darkstalker : I am an all powerful being with limits and nothing can stop me MUHAHAHA
Strawberry: Oki I see ur point but wut if I just recreate ur entire being?
Darkstalker : wait why
Peacemaker: hewo I am very happy and nice
Tbh, I think that Arc 1 was my favorite, although Arc 2 is a close second (ironically my ranking goes by the number of the arcs lol)
Muchos gracias, Jady! 🙏🫂💜 This (your newest) video made my St. Patty's Day 1,000% better, *hugs and cuddles.* 🎉🤙
i honestly think arc 3 had great themes and character development, and sundew was so well written i fawn over her writing. arc 3 tackled racism head-on and empathy is so very very important. its only my least favorite arc because luna and snowfall can go jump off a bridge. arc 2 is my favorite because, even if moon is my least favorite character and i hope she burns in the deepest pits of the underworld, the characters were amazing! i love how they tackled animus magic, which was such a
mystery in the first book. i enjoy all the characters and find turtle very relatable, i think all the plot twists and turns made it so interesting to read. and arc one was 5/10 because no sunny x starflight.
4:22
I heard “Sundew’s Spear of Justice” for some reason.
Sundew = Undyne
Omg, it's so true. Undyne is my favorite hahaha.
@@JadeMountainArchiveShe’s also my favorite :D
Arc 2 is my personal favourite, but I understand the multiple plots making it hard to keep track of :/
My favorite is arc three
As someone who has only read up to book 13, I have to say arc 3 is my favourite.
Bro where are all these animations coming from?
Jma obviously thinks arc 2 is the best cuz we have 🤩Qibli🤩😁😊
Edited: Arc 3 was my favorite, it was
sooo exiting especially books 11,12, and 13!!!
Your videos cheer me up I have been abused my whole life and struggle with mental health everyday thank you you make my hell of a life seem a little brighter thank you
I'm glad I can help, even if only a little :) And good luck Jack.
Arc 1 is the most well done overall, Id say, but I'm partial to Arc 2.
Has a lot of great characters alongside some good side characters, and I rather like the core I guess 'moral' of the tale.
Great vid ralph! ❤❤❤ sending love as always
Personally I think the first arc was the best, then the second, and then the third. The originals were the best 😎😎😎
Also, I DEFINITELY value plot/storylines the most when I read a book.
