I don't think I've ever been in so much shock whilst unboxing rare plants. These plants were honestly just unbelievable and I am so so grateful to now have them in my collection. I think you will struggle to get her on a train, especially if it gets busy and people bump into the leaves! I would hire a lorry if someone can drive it and transport her that way, probably laying down with the top of the pot taped up and supports around the pole to keep the leaves safe.
This is EXACTLY what I'd do too. Just wrap and tape the pot up as tight as you can and lean her in whatever you can find to transport her in that's long enough😬🤞 I totally agree that I wouldn't trust her being squished up with loads of other people on a train...Good luck!🤞🤞💚

Hello lovely! Could you hire a small van and secure the monstera with the rope hooks specifically for moving? I've seen that done before, especially for people who need their plants secure. A small van will offer a higher clearance so you wouldn't have to worry about it being squashed on the top or placing it sideways 🥰 x

If you a renting a truck to move out, put her in the tallest box you can find or build it yourself with cardboard,
And it helps to place it in a taller pot too..
I moved in April With 250 +plants and all made it...

My husband has a UA-cam channel and uses a microphone and I honestly thought you had one! You might just have a nice talking voice and it carries/projects well. Maybe, when you make videos in your new location-the room’s acoustics might not be as nice as this one where you normally record in. But so far, had me fooled and I thought you already used one ;)

Yes!!
Considering how long the internodes are, I would honestly just cut it in half and propagate the top to make a fuller plant. Monstera grow so fast anyway, it'll get back to the same hight in no time. It might encourage more variegation in the new growth as well, making it a win/win/win situation.
I’m from Texas (south TX here in the US states) and girl, the weather be unpredictable.
I think you could try temporarily de-polling the Albo and loosely wrap the vines in a circular motion inside the pot that way you may be able to carry it yourself or still get a friend to help you. The pole can be carried by hand or broken down if not glued together.
I use soil ninja products also. The worm castings are fantastic but find their shipping price quite expensive.
Ooooh I don't know if I could do that (I'd be too scared of accidentally snapping her). I think hiring a long van is going to be the best bet... EEEEEP! 💚
@@TheJungleHaven True I forget Monstera vines get quite hard not soft like pothos. I'm struggling to get them on a moss poll
I'm not sure if you can drive or not since you mentioned the train. But it's maybe an idea to hire a van (you could always ask a friend to drive it or hire a man with a van) and then transport a lit of your plants in one go. If you get a big enough van you could lay this monstera down and secure it that way.

Hi, i read never to cut or trimm airial roots because its weekend the plant. What is your experience?
I think there's some truth in that, but I've found that the occasional trim, and then making sure the remaining a.roots have lots of moisture and nutrients still keeps the plant going strong 💚

Have you any tips for me if you have. Tried twice quite recently in orchid bark and sphagnum moss, but failed both times. 🤨

I've actually never owned that plant, but just by looking at it, my gut would say sphagnum moss is the way to go... Just googled it and I know it says to simply lay the plant on top, but I'd personally submerge it (several nodes to be on the safe side) and keep it somewhere fairly warm (making sure moss always stays damp), humid and light 💚

Popped this on while I did some plant chores of my own and picked up my calathea mosaica just as you asked "what was the last plant you killed" and found it has root rot 😂

You should get in touch with Kat from Adansonnia channel. That happened to her on several of her anthuriums and she apparently chopped all the roots off and put them in water and they are all doing very well...so far.

I hate to say it but I think it would be far better to chop a few feet off her to transport her safely than risk having an accident en route. You may be able to lay her down if you get a long enough van but its still risky and she's definitely too big for the train. Chop and prop and soon you'll have two 10 feet tall monstera
I just don't think I can do it haha. I'm thinking renting a long van and driving soooooo carefully (even if it takes me hours to get there and I have thousands of cars trundling along behind me) 😂

The thing I’d be worried about with having her where the plant is now, is that the sun is going to absolute fry her leaves
It doesn't receive too much direct sun apart from in the evening luckily 💚

I'll usually give it away or swap it for something else that I've been wanting. It doesn't happen very often to be honest - I get so emotionally attached to my plants haha 💚
Have you considered growing carnivores like Nepenthes for example? Nepenthes make great hanging basket plants, and they'll eat what bugs in your house.
I absolutely love carnivorous plants, but don't actually have any in my collection at the moment. My friend bought one when we went plant shopping over the weekend, and I think I may need to grab some for myself soon 💚
