I still face the issue of engine power loss n stall post software updates especially in 2nd 3rd gear. Understanding the clutch play is crucial here. Also seeing discolouration in the outlet pipe

Thanks for your review, and in English the whole time!
    1) I heard the Speed 400 brake pads are better for this bike.
    2) Here in the States we ride at higher speeds on the Highways. To accomodate for this I would change mine from the stock 14T to the Speed's 15T (will do this sometime in the future). This would reduce the engine speed to about 500 rpms at the same speed. Your 110 KPH is about 68 MPH here. A good base standard for the USA would be 75 MPH or 120 KPH. This fix would be almost perfect. Also I'd recommend throttle rocker for cruising, gel gloves and maybe filling the steering bar with foam rubber.
    3) As far as engine heat, my last bike was a Suzuki SV650. This bike heats more my right leg. This is a negative.
    4) This bike can wear more aggressive 50/50 tires to go further off-road and make it a light ADV bike. It would be one step down vs the KTM 390ADV because of lesser suspension travel but it almost has the same ground clearance at 195mm (vs the 390's 200 mm).
    5) The stock bike speedometer is overtly optimistic at highway speeds as 75 MPH is actually a GPS confirmed 70-71 MPH. I would have had both RPM and Speed in Digits, making it easier to read.
    6) I wonder if the front light can be changed to a more powerful LED.
    7) Most seats are never comfortable for long rides (this side of a cruiser). Most of the ngtime a replacement is required for us "Iron Butts" who do 500 or more miles a day while travelling to destinations on the Highway.
    8) Having said the above, no bike at this price range (again, this side of a budget highway cruiser) can carry a passenger better than this one on long rides on the Highway. PERIOD! The Scrambler seat is Full-Sized Generous. Something you must consider if you will be taking your significant other (small to medium sized female in my case) on rides.

Good review well explained you have covered all the pros and cons. I ride speed 400 and I face unpredictable engine stalling once or twice in 10 rides but I noticed if the fuel is low or if the engine is hot then at low speeds the engine will stall in 2nd gear I think due to overhearing it is stalling. After the triumph stalling update its 90% solved but it's unpredictable some times it stalls while taking u-turn or speed breaker and as you said the range indicator is not reliable even the bike has 2 liter of fuel the range will be showing bars no data. Have you noticed if the fuel is so low the fuel indicator will start blinking? Because with 2 bars the fuel sign lights up.

I am 5'6 and I have ridden this bike for 5k kms. Height is not an issue, it does take some time to get used to. But after that, it feels amazing and easy to ride. I can ride it easily in heavy traffic as well as on difficult trails.

Height is an issue bro. I am of 5.8 ft height and I recently bought 400x and within 1 week I let my friend ride it. He is of height 5.5 feet. While riding he stopped due to emergency and was not able put his foot on ground on time and the bike fell breaking the hand guard and front brake lever, so it is an issue

Thank you for the review. I too own a Scrambler 400X, and have done my first 1,000 Km on it now. I love it. One thing I noticed though, is that at low speeds - anything below 40 Km/hr - the motorcycle exhibits some jerkiness. It doesn't matter which gear I am on. And this happens on perfectly flat, smooth road surfaces while keeping a steady throttle. It does not go smoothly, but rather continuous back-and-forth jerking, and the slower you go, the more noticeable it is. Is this normal? I am looking for feedback from people who own the bike. Is this a normal single-cylinder behavior, or is there something wrong with my bike? Thank you.

After riding this for 3500km I agree with most of these points
The fuel indicator is absolute garbage for me as it shows warning when there is still 5ltr fuel left in the tank and it's hard to understand the tank capacity for rest of the trip.
I have observed stalling issue only once that too in low fuel.
I 100% agree on the brakes. I am also thinking of changing it but not sure what I should go with. Any suggestions

    Hello,
I know to ride bike but would categorise myself as a beginner. Have a great experience with scooters (city, traffic, highway, pillion) and I believe I ride maturely.
Will Scrambler 400x be a good transition?
Given I can’t afford to have multiple two wheelers at once, will Scrambler 400x do it all? Reason being I find it to be more of a complete package than Speed 400
65-70% city commuting (includes peak Mumbai traffic) and 30-35% Highway touring
    PS
    1) I’m 24, 5’8 and weigh 65KGs
    2) I’m considering Himalayan 450 but I’m not sure if it’s weight would be too much
    3) for reference I can flat foot on Highness’ 800 mm height

    • @oyelovyurgr8
      @oyelovyurgr8 11 днів тому

Idk if you have bought it not but I would definitely suggest to go with 400x. And this is coming from a 5’4 guy who has done 5k on 400x. It may take some time to get used to the bike but once you do you will understand how refined, balanced and smooth this bike is, esp in traffic. I have ridden Himalyan too and its suspensions and power is better than 400x but the 200 kg weight will make you exhausted once you are in traffic. Not to mention poor after sales service

Currently, I have a 2020 Classic 350. I plan to upgrade it, but I am confused between the Himalayan 450, Scrambler 400X, and Guerilla 450. RE exchange cost is 1.4 lakh; because of this revaluation cost, I’m able to upgrade it. So, please advise on this.

I’ve previously owned a 2017 KTM RC390 and a 2018 Royal Enfield 350. Now, I’d like to share my brief experience with the Scrambler 400X and explain why I chose it over the Himalayan 450 or the 390 Adventure.
      1. The refined engine and superior build quality were major factors that drew me to the 400X.
      2. The low-end torque makes it incredibly easy and enjoyable to ride-just open the throttle, and the bike handles the rest.
      3. I opted not to go with the Himalayan 450 for two reasons: the frequency of my touring and the current unavailability of cross-spoked wheels.
Another key factor in my decision was the tire setup. There’s no reason not to have tubeless tires in 2024, and the lack of a tubeless tire variant on the Himalayan was a deal breaker for me, which further pushed me towards the 400X.
I use my bike more for commuting than touring, which is another reason I chose the 400X. While both motorcycles are great in their own way, choosing one really depends on your riding style and needs.
A few issues I’ve encountered with the Scrambler 400X so far include:
      • Mileage: It’s around 25 km/l in the city. This isn’t a problem for me since I’m used to the RC390’s mileage.
      • Lack of accessories availability: This was initially disappointing, but Triumph India seems to have restocked their accessories now.
      • High-speed comfort: Going over 120 km/h on the 400X isn’t as comfortable as it is on the Himalayan. However, this doesn’t bother me much since I rarely stay in that speed range for long durations.

Hello, sir. I'm planning to purchase either a Scrambler or a Himalayan. I'm drawn to the aesthetic appeal of the Scrambler. This will be my first bike. Could you advise me on which would be better suited for my needs? I'll primarily be using it for city commuting and highway rides. Additionally, has the engine power loss issue in 2nd and 3rd gear been addressed after the latest update? Are there any specific adjustments or settings I should mention when booking the bike?
