    • @Chennaivoyager
      @Chennaivoyager 14 днів тому

      Be Firm : Reiterate that you're aware that the manufacturer manual doesn’t recommend specific brands, but instead focuses on the oil's specifications. Leverage Other Dealerships: Mention that other Triumph service centers, such as the one in Greems Road, use Castrol for superbikes, and you’ve seen other riders on UA-cam recommend brands like Motul in North INDIA. Ask for a Technical Reason: If they refuse, ask for a clear technical reason for rejecting your brand choice. Explore Alternatives: If they still refuse, you can change HP in service station and change oil outside service station, where they would use high-quality oil like liqui moly

      @@Chennaivoyager I have a plan to buy a motorcycle. Max budget 4.5L. My purpose is to just travel with pillion 80%. Travel is mostly on highway and avg roads. No off road. Maybe under some unfortunate circumstances. Pillion comfort is must. Which bike you prefer? I have few in mind. 1. Meteor 350 (Scared of their service, but i have a good local mechanic friend) 2. Triumph scrambler 400x (For its exhaust) 3. Hness 4. Vstrom 250 5. KTM 390 ADV (they are coming up with new model next year. So last choice) 6. Any other model, you prefer.

    • @Chennaivoyager
      @Chennaivoyager 16 днів тому

      Meteor 350: It’s a comfortable cruiser, especially for long highway rides. The pillion seat is spacious, and with your local mechanic friend, the service concerns should be manageable. Great for relaxed, easy-going rides. Triumph Scrambler 400X: This is more versatile, but not specifically built for pillion comfort over long distances. The exhaust sounds great, but since you’ll mostly be on highways with a pillion, this may not be the best fit in terms of comfort for two-up riding. Honda Hness: A solid contender! Comfortable for both rider and pillion, smooth on highways, and Honda’s reliability is top-notch. It’s also very easy to maintain, with a strong resale value. A great balance between comfort and performance. V-Strom 250: Good for highway riding, decent fuel economy, and reliable performance. It’s comfortable for the pillion too, but it doesn’t have the punch or premium feel of a larger engine bike. KTM 390 ADV: If you’re not in a rush, waiting for the new model could be a smart choice. The current model has excellent performance and is well-suited for highways. Pillion comfort isn’t the best compared to some others on this list, though. My Recommendation: For your budget and needs, I'd suggest the Honda Hness or Meteor 350. Both are reliable, comfortable, and easy on maintenance. If you prioritize pillion comfort more, go for the Meteor 350, but if you want a smoother engine and better overall experience, the Honda Hness is a great all-rounder. You can think of short gun same issue with RE service network , pillion u need modify the seat , if both taken care , great machine for highway Happy riding, and let us know what you pick! 👊

    Bart Ji, Awesome review but some updates which may be the latest about My Rudhra... Tubeless is available as an accessory now at the cost of 13k inclusive of GST.. Don't worry about.. RE at its best. They always rocks.. no vehicle in this segment has 17 lts tank capacity with the mileage of 400+kms per fill... with the best comfort riding experience with adjustable seats, unique with RE no other bikes have this option and also with the advanced features in the instrument console..... neither triumph nor the xpluse is competitive for Himalayan the bull...😄😄😄😄.. I should say, i should not compare xpulse ... its like comparing the fellow baby with the gaint..😀😀😀😀

    • @Chennaivoyager
      @Chennaivoyager 17 днів тому

      You're absolutely right! Royal Enfield continues to impress with updates that cater to the needs of adventure riders, making the Himalayan a go-to bike for touring. The Xpulse is great for its off-road capabilities, but for long-distance touring, the Himalayan stands tall in its own segment. However, as you pointed out, the big question is about the service experience. Despite RE's advancements in design and features, the service network still has room for improvement in terms of consistency and customer satisfaction. This is a common concern among many RE riders, and while they are improving, it's definitely something that needs more attention. Better training for service centers, faster parts availability, and smoother service experiences are key areas they should focus on. I’m hopeful that with the brand's growing global presence and customer feedback, we'll see positive changes soon. After all, a bike that performs so well on the road deserves equally great after-sales support!

    1.Service is not mandatory at 5k, as the 5k service is just the chain adjustment and it is also mentioned in the manual. I usually take it to service Center for chain lube and tightening for every 1500km. So oil service is just 1 year once or 10000km once 2. Breaking is also a misconception here. My interceptor is about 12k ran till now. Breakpad does have more than 60% life left in it. I can easily do 20k with stock break pads. I mostly do engine breaking and don’t do harsh acceleration and breaking also. But my riding will be around 80 to 120kmph mostly. 3. Tyres. That I have around 40 left in both front and back. I feel the product is good, but they need of R&D from real world. Like my oil cool radiator inlet hose got melted though it is metal braided hose but they have tpu kind of layer which clearly can’t withstand more temperature. This happened when I was riding my bike in peak traffic and 1 pm top notch hot weather.

    I am 5'4. Can I modify Speed 400 into 400x to some extent?

    • @Chennaivoyager
      @Chennaivoyager 24 дні тому

      Modifying a Triumph Scrambler 400 to match the specifications and style of the Scrambler 400X is possible, but it would involve making a number of key changes. Here’s a breakdown of the modifications you might need to consider: 1. Suspension The 400X typically has upgraded suspension for better off-road performance, such as longer travel shocks. You could swap out the stock suspension for longer travel front forks and rear shocks to improve off-road capability. 2. Wheels and Tires The 400X may come with off-road-friendly tires and spoked wheels for better durability on rough terrain. You might need to replace the stock alloy wheels with spoked wheels and install knobby or dual-sport tires for better off-road performance. 3. Handlebars Off-road bikes like the 400X often feature taller, wider handlebars for improved control. Changing to higher-rise handlebars or adding risers can improve comfort and handling for off-road riding. 4. Foot Pegs Off-road foot pegs are wider and more aggressive for better grip in rough conditions. Replacing the stock foot pegs with off-road pegs will improve comfort and control.

    Non radial tyres wear in an uneven manner which is mostly reason for wheel wobbling. Most of the times the uneven wear might not be visible to naked eye. With radial tyres wear would be visible and hence we will change it frequently unlike non radials.

    Bro, I am 6 feet tall and am seeking for a bike for the everyday office commute (40km -up& down) and weekend trips. My two options are the Honda CB350 dlx pro and the Triumph Scrambler 400x.pls. suggest Could you recommend another one? Thank you in advance.

    • @Chennaivoyager
      @Chennaivoyager 17 днів тому

      Bro, at 6 feet tall, both the Honda CB350 DLX Pro and the Triumph Scrambler 400X are solid options for your needs, but each has its strengths depending on what you prioritize. Honda CB350 DLX Pro: Known for its comfort, refinement, and excellent fuel efficiency, this bike is great for daily commutes. The upright riding posture is ideal for long stretches in traffic, and it has a smooth engine that's easy to handle in city conditions. Plus, Honda's reliability and low maintenance costs are a big plus. Triumph Scrambler 400X: This one is more versatile and a bit more powerful than the CB350. It's an excellent option for weekend trips with its torquey engine and off-road capabilities. The higher ground clearance and rugged build make it better suited for rough roads or light trails on your weekend rides. It also has a modern, premium feel with a bit more attitude compared to the CB350. Since you're looking for a good balance between daily commutes and weekend trips, the Triumph Scrambler 400X might edge out slightly with its versatility and touring comfort. But if you want something more practical for everyday use with a lower price tag, the Honda CB350 DLX Pro is a winner too
