BMW 850CSi exhaust sound check using an AKG D12 mic.

Exhaust sound check using an AKG D112 mic sat around 3 feet from the rear of the car. Trying to find a suitable mic for road driving recording. I need to keep my eye out for a dead cat.

850CSi got the S70. The 850i and 850Ci got the M70.

The M70 and S70 are the same engine case, the S70 got different crank, rods, pistons and camshafts to make it a tuned 5.6 litre. The engine in the F1 has 12 cylinders in common but that's about it :--)
