I followed exactly what you did, and I cant get it to start. I have the same wiring in my 98. I bought a momentary off/on. Do you have the starter relay inserted in the pdb? I tried with relay in and relay out and still wont start.

Where did you get that instrument panel with the gauges ?
I was going to ask the same thing. I am thinking he bought them separately and Bilt the Bizzle.
