@Eli Santiago I'm thinking the ones you mentioned are fakes (atleast with the tourbillon) but yea I agree with you. I think any watch that's over 100k means there's really no justification for purchasing it. I see nothing wrong with a great iconic Rolex a Patek or IWC all way cheaper and still the best quality
@@paganiluv9552 - There's only two ways to look at a watch. It's either art, or a tool. If you like art then no price is too high because you can't put a price on artistic value (jacob&co is a classic example of this, since they charge literally millions of dollars for glass+plastic) If it's a tool then any watch over $50 dollars is overpriced. 99% of all high end brand watches don't have a justification for purchasing them. You could debate there exists some middle ground if you consider watches that have precious metals/stones in them OR watches that have historical significance/collector value. But other than those cases there aren't many (if any) exceptions to the logic I've laid out. In this day and age there exist replicas for many of the high end brands. Examples of a high end watch that costs $100,000 with an almost exact replica costing only $800 exist in the marketplace. Even with 20x zoom you can't tell the difference between them. Some replicas are so good now that even authorized dealers/resellers can't distinguish real from fake. If China can make a Rolex replica that 99% of the public can't distinguish from the authentic one and they can do it for 100x cheaper, that should clue anyone in to the fact that the entire luxury watch industry is a huge scam. In the end it's just a 2 inch piece of stainless steel with a little bit of paint. Max price should be $10. But $50 I feel is a fair upper limit. #facts.
@Eli Santiago a tourbillion doesnt even do anything on a wristwatch but with complications like this its not about usefulness its about watchmaking and the brilliance of the designers and watchmakers who build such things and rolex doesnt have a tourbillion bc rolexes (atleast 95% of their models) are and always were toolwatches and since a tourbillion doesnt have any use they simply dont make it i mean why would they. Saying that things like tourbillions are overrated because rolex doesnt make them just shows how bad your knowledge about watches is

My questions when I buy a watch. Does it have Bluetooth ? From what height can I drop it ? Is it waterproof ? Does it have dual clock ? Is it Solar powered ? Does it have an automatic calendar ? meh S of course he still made money off of micheal and who can blame him, but i think he can’t get cheaper marketing than giving 100k and a free watch for and ad like this. He knows there are many people who would consider buying a watch from him if he appears in videos like this and thats the reason why he gave such a discount plus a free watch for a giveaway.
@meh S he could of gave it free alot of very wealthy people watch micheal Jacob will get sales off this. Every time he goes to Peter Marco and Yossi Dina and Everyday Watches they all say they get sales off these videos so giving a free watch for a video does them a plenty or a discount where they loose money
@meh S jewelry usually has 3xs mark up but when you're making complication watches like this, it becomes subjective. I appreciate art but I wouldn't spend millions on a piece. (A pool with 2 figures) painting by David hockney sold for 90 million or a bit more a few yrs ago. These watches are true works of art for sure. They make rolex look like swatches by way of comparison. I'm not a fan of his "run of the mill" pieces but his complication pieces are fucking incredible!
What an incredible man Jacob is. His watch designs are incredible, totally unique and worth every penny....... 😉.The full crystal watch is just mind blowing.
Z: you guys are probably right that the marketing value is higher than a one off discount but A) giving a huge discount sends the message that the markup is huge ... so perhaps it wasn’t the best strategy in some cases B) not everyone will give Michael a big discount on a 1 piece sale (at least not on camera). Which shows some vendors perhaps don’t believe in this strategy. You could argue they are stupid not to see the marketing value, or you could argue they figure giving one customer a big discount will lead to others feeling they over-paid.
Michael comes in: " So sparkly here". Looks a Diamond neclaces: " This has the size of my fist". Also Michael half an hour later: " You have diamonds?" Next time he maybe ask Jacob if he maybe has some watches.

#facts.
@@paganiluv9552 In either case to each their own. Everyone should buy whatever they like and whatever fits their style.
Saying that things like tourbillions are overrated because rolex doesnt make them just shows how bad your knowledge about watches is
Eli Santiago the cheap ones. But not the twin-turbo or astronomia
I really appreciate how down to earth and cool Jacob is, and I really enjoy his Epic X watches as well.
To money lol common folk would he be same hmmm I duno.. Don't no the man but I'd say we're only a piece of shit on there shoe
These kind of people know how to behave with different people, firstly he is on video secondly that guy has bought dozens of watches so he is confident that michael blakey might buy. To normal people he may not necessarily behave so down to earth.
those are some of the most beautiful pieces of art in watches i've seen so far! absolutely stunning!!
Love how Jacob goes “no more than 7,000” like he was bargaining to give away a cheap watch. I don’t think he understand that for normal people that’s a very expensive watch
Michael Fosnaught for a luxury watch of this caliber it is quite cheap
DigitCode no I get that but it’s just funny that 7,000 is cheap to Jacob and most owners of his watch but it’d be one of the most expensive things the average person owns aside from like a car and house

Michael treating Adam as a bro always makes me so happy :')

Jacob is obviously a master watchmaker but his real skill is relieving Michael of his money it really is a sight to behold Jacob knows instantly when he's hooked him a rye smile comes across his face. Great to watch. Truly fascinating.
Respect to you Michael for being such a good and generous friend to Adam!!!
Michael has been spending too much time at Yossi’s lol I feel like he was expecting a fight every time he asked “May I?” To see a watch then gets it right away 😂
Paul Axel Pretty sure it was staged
I said it a million times but I’ll say it again!!! It’s such a nice and humble thing to see that Michael always introduces Adam.. u can really tell that they’re good friends 😍😍😍
How good?
32:42 *just FYI, for those that don't understand or who haven't bought expensive watches before, sometimes folks ask to "ship" a watch to their home state to avoid high sales tax in the state they are buying the watch.*
oh.. Hadn't noticed that. Tax evasion basically. Bill to a different address. Brilliant.
looking Michael smiling makes me smile too! He such a generous person!!
Adam, the quick timelapse of each individual watch on it's own was amazing.
It’s such a gangster thing to be able to say that the owner of jacob and co owes you money.
Peyer Rouwendal LOL 😂
Imagine if he actually owned him 7k and that's the watch price he's gonna give away
yeah and Jacob was actually arrested for money laundering to mafias. so yeah, its gangster....

Mr. Jacob's watches are on another level of art and creativity.
How is the accuracy of their movements ?
With the news of the world so morbid and cold,
There is only one solution: Jacob & Co.
@@Longshore79 they aren't the best technical watchbrand that exists so not to great
@@svenmuller1045 so you would agree way overpriced

I'm related with you hhhh
G Shock watches have one of the strongest movements in the industry .
horologists agree there are only afew watch makers that are deserving 'god status' in view of how much better they are than the rest 1. is Patek 2. is Omega 3. is Casio
So in general I find expensive watches to be unbelievably unnecessary particularly when they are valuable simply because they are studded in diamonds. Jacob and Co’s watches just scratch the part of me that appreciates both art and engineering in a way no other watches do. I wouldn’t say that watch is worth 360k in any context, but if any watch is, it would be that one.
what i like about Michael is his passion with watches, doesnt matter the price, what is important is that you like it and how it makes you feel! i really like my watches!
Mr Blakey is a true inspiration and extremely generous gentleman!
Gosh, I just watched 35 minutes of ProducerMichael looking and buying beautiful timepieces that I'll probably never see in real life. Somehow it was totally worth it.
Did you watch a Rolex video?
Micheal and Mr Jacob are such amazing people. He just knocked off 100k+ and also gave a 7k watch away! who does that!?!? Credit to Michael for asking and for looking out for his fans- he's always looking out for his fans! nobody does that!! what a guy..🙏

What a guy Jacob is. Respect.
Seeing that Godfather on the wrist was truly something special.
That Godfather watch is one of the most beautiful watches I've ever seen and it's incredible that the piano keys actually move, such a great watchmaker.

Ironic considering Jacob & Co is a shit brand compared to Rolex.
@Tim s the problem about Rolex is so many of them copy by seiko that has same design with Rolex, Rolex watch is easier to copy even with chinese fake watch. Jacob and co watch especially the astronomia type who fake manucfatures watch want copy one of them, is so complicated in design and movement, do you think fake chinese watch want spend money on manufactures to copy the fodfather Jacob and co watch
@@samuellee3022 That's not really a major problem. Rolex and Seiko are still better watch companies than Jacob. They both offer better value, and are a better investment.
@@andrewblunts-ringwalks4508 You can't compare those! I am pretty sure there is no other watch brand that does such insanely creative designs as Jacob does. Jacob could ask even ten times the price he does and people would buy the watches because they are out of this world!
@@loltanios Rolex is not special, every god damn decent lawyer can afford one after few months of saving. A.Lange is the way to go
I actually love Michael… like everyone says he addresses Adam to everyone and expects the same respect towards Adam as he does himself. Spend half a million dollars on a watch but has to make sure his fans were included somewhere! HE DOESNT HAVE TO DO THIS he does it from the kindness of himself
My first exposure into Jacob & Co watches. Boy, I was blown away by all the fabulous designs. They are all so unique and special and absolutely gorgeous! Each piece is an intricate piece of art with genius engineering into it. Thanks very much Michael for doing this video, it was an eye opener for me into the world of luxury watches. Love it!
Lmao you know Jacob raises the price by 20% when Michael comes in, then he just sits there and puts on a show "Michael I can only do 10, ok fine you've defeated me, I'll do 20 😏" 😂😂

THE FACT HE KNOWS SO MUCH ABOUT HIS OWN WATCHES IS AMAZING!!!
Michael: " Can you do a better deal"...
Jacob: "There's not much room on this watch"...
....drops the price over 100k lol.
meh S of course he still made money off of micheal and who can blame him, but i think he can’t get cheaper marketing than giving 100k and a free watch for and ad like this. He knows there are many people who would consider buying a watch from him if he appears in videos like this and thats the reason why he gave such a discount plus a free watch for a giveaway.
@meh S the material is cheap, the know how is not and can't be measured
I'm not a fan of his "run of the mill" pieces but his complication pieces are fucking incredible!
meh S Developing also takes a lot of money
What an incredible man Jacob is. His watch designs are incredible, totally unique and worth every penny....... 😉.The full crystal watch is just mind blowing.

"With a watch like this there's not much room"
Ends up giving 112.000$ discount
Do you know why Jacob can do that. He makes so much fricking money.
Must have been making around that much to just knock it off!
Jacob makes double that from these videos. Its basically "free" advertising. Michael makes Jacob a lot of money
Z: you guys are probably right that the marketing value is higher than a one off discount but
A) giving a huge discount sends the message that the markup is huge ... so perhaps it wasn’t the best strategy in some cases
B) not everyone will give Michael a big discount on a 1 piece sale (at least not on camera). Which shows some vendors perhaps don’t believe in this strategy. You could argue they are stupid not to see the marketing value, or you could argue they figure giving one customer a big discount will lead to others feeling they over-paid.
@@cephasmakuzva rich people don’t get rich by giving discounts
