The better sounding version is on Legacy of Brutality. Glen Danzig overdubbed basically every instrument and rerecorded vocal so it sounds more beefy.

Actually for this album Danzig had beef with Jerry only thier bassist so to get him angry he took out Jerry bass lines from the whole entire album lol Danzig is so petty.

The old Misfits were always pretty sketchy with their sound quality. It was early punk, and most punk bands had sketchy quality.
