Just did this walk on Sunday,it's a fantastic walk with some great views, probably up there with one of my most enjoyable walks, although a good bit of descent to join the path from haystacks was a bit of a chew, another top video Eddie

Hi Eddie. That must be one of the loveliest walks in The Lakes. The views over to Grasmoor and the other North Western Fells are breathtaking. Your photography does full justice to the views and you couldn’t have had better weather conditions. I could watch this video again and again. Thanks for sharing your walk.

Hi Paul, yes I agree it is a superb walk with great views all the way. Quite steep heading up to Red Pike and steep going down High Crag but well worth it for the views. The weather certainly helped, for a February morning it was great weather. Thank you again for watching & for the really positive comments, it is appreciated. Take Care. Cheers. Eddie.

Very enjoyable re watch of this and after Helvellyn, Nethermost Pike and Dollywaggon Pike yesterday, I fancy this if I get a nice day next week before I am back at work on Thursday. Looked a very steep descent on loose scree mind, cheers Alan

Thanks Alan. Yes I saw some of your Helvellyn photos on Carol's Facebook last night. Sounds like you had a good day. We have done Nethermost Pike, but not been along to Dollywaggon Pike yet. I really like this Buttermere walk, I have done this a couple of times now. It is fairly steep coming down from High Crag, but from what I can remember it does not last too long. Thanks for watching and commenting on this again Alan. Looking forward to seeing your latest adventure on Helvellyn etc. We had a laugh at your BBQ and camping videos, sounds like you were freezing when you could not get in the house at 3 in the morning! Cheers. Eddie.

Wonderful video Eddie. I’ve walked around Buttermere and up Haystacks and Fleetwith Pike many times, but never done the Red Pike ridge walk. After watching this vid it’s definitely on my to do list. Your vlogs definitely improve my mood during these crazy times. Please keep filming, much appreciated.

Thank you for the kind comments Wayne, much appreciated. This Buttermere Ridge walk is superb. I can understand why you like to photograph Yewbarrow, it looks superb and is part of that "classic" shot of Wast Water. I have climbed Yewbarrow a few times now, it is tricky in places but the views are superb and well worth the effort. Thanks again for watching & commenting. Take care. Cheers. Eddie.

Hi Eddie. We did this walk yesterday the 10th. I thought those steps up to Bleaberry Tarn would never stop :o) Met some lovely people on the way. One poor lady just couldn't quite make it up to the top of Red Pike. I was gutted for her really. Got to the top of High Stile when the mist came down could barely see over five yards. I said to my mate here there's a couple coming towards us. As we got nearer they turned out to be mountain goats ha ha. It cleared after 5 or 10 minutes so didn't spoil the views. Thought the climb down from High Crag was hard work simply because of the length it went on. I went down Scarth Gap sat down ha ha ha. This was a great walk with terrific views. Not to be missed although would have preferred your weather :o) Thanks for posting this fabulous video. Keep on smiling David

Hi David, pleased you did this walk and enjoyed it. I know what you mean about the route up to the Tarn, it is quite steep in places and also the path from the Tarn up to the summit of Red Pike is steep. It is worth it though once you get to Red Pike, as the walk along the ridge to High Crag is superb. The descent from High Crag can be a bit tricky. Great to hear about your walk and thanks for letting me know how you got on. Take care & thanks again. Cheers. Eddie.

@@eddiecaisley5746 hi Eddie, back in our cottage now after a full day’s walking. It’s a great walk, but not for the faint of heart. The last few hundred metres up to Red Pike and the first few hundred metres coming off High Crag are a little sketchy, but all in all it’s a cracking trail. We also went across to Gatesgarth for an ice cream and walked back along the far shore back to Buttermere village. We were also lucky to enjoy some Eddie Caisley sun shine! Take care Eddie.

What a fantastic video Eddie. I visited the Lake District recently, first time in 45 years, and was totally smitten by the place. Although we did a good bit of exploring the chances of me getting up onto those high places are slim so watching your videos is the nearest I'm going to get. Mind you, the weather wasn't anywhere near as good as you had here. I watched one of your earlier films which was very good but using stabilisation takes it to a whole new level, fantastic quality. Thanks for sharing your walks, they are inspiring and I will be watching the rest in due course. How have you only got 226 subscribers?
