Yes, but on a different street. They even changed out the street signs. The story is a man who lived on this street became quite confused when headed home.

Both my parents were born in '55. But I was born and raised in Staunton... So this brings back many memories (mine and theirs) when I watch this video. The girl in the Pink prom dress was a cheerleader of my mom's (Harold's daughter) when they made this video. She gave us an advanced copy cassette. We wore it out!

I started listening to them in the early 70,s when I was only 16 years old. I finally....just recently, purchased their farewell tour DVD and CD. Harold was a card! Loved his clean, comedy skits!! @@marianoleonelszamudhio3647 it was filmed on Allegheny Ave in Staunton VA 24401 (USA). The sign said Maple, but they just switched the street signs (we have a different Maple St in Staunton). The grown teenage daughter with the big pink dress is Harold Reid's youngest daughter Kasey. She was one of my mom's cheerleaders and was actually in high school when this filmed. The older lady (grandma in blue) I believe was Harold and Don's Mom. There were other friends and family in the video, but I was 7 when they filmed it, so I don't know for sure. I just know I've been down that street plenty. Watching this is like going back home because I was born and raised there. I babysat Jimmy's kids a few times, my brother played ball with Jimmy's son & Phil's grandson. Hope this helps.

This brings back all of the happy memories of my life in Eufaula, Alabama. I walked several miles to and from school without any worries. People knew each other and we were always safe. Anyone taking a vacation, please visit Eufaula and be sure to see the tree that owns it self and treasure the plaque that states; "Poems are made by fools like me, but only God can make a tree". I love the antebellum homes the streets where we played in the huge grass areas that divided the directions of travel. Eufaula is one of the most beautiful cities in the South. I wish I was still there and visiting my school mates.

I think this song touches a lot of people because they have a "Maple Street Memory" of one that got away. Someone you thought was "the one" and you would spend the rest of your life with them. But the stars did not align, nor did the fates allow. And you went your separate ways. My wife and I have been together almost twenty years, and we have a great life together. But there is someone from my early life who I occasionally think of and hope that her life has been a good one and that she is happy.

The song brings back memories of living in a quaint, small to medium sized town where the living seemed to be cozy and there was a great deal of fellowship and camaraderie from living in such a community. Many of the homes then had character in spades; inside as well as outside. Compare that to the suburbs of the 1950s to today and you'll see a distinct difference! I can appreciate why watching such a video could trigger an emotional response!

What a beautiful video. Growing up in the late 50's and early 60's in a small town, I can really relate to this video. It always brings back some wonderful and sad memories that will usually bring a tear or two to my eyes.

I've never heard this before but I love it. The statler Brothers were in a leag of their own with their harmoney and ability to sing truly relatable, touching, memory invoking songs. No one now is even remotely close and few could ever come close.

I thought I had heard all their songs by now. I started listening to the Statlers when I was around 7 or 8 and I am almost 51 now ,they were my Dads favorite group. We would ride around in his old Chevy step side truck with the Statlers playing on the 8 track tape deck . I knew where and when my favorite songs were starting no matter what channel happened to be playing at the time. I would recognize the line and start clicking to the channel where my song was starting. I love everything they ever sang but I think This bed of Roses is my all time favorite. I love to hear their “ODE TO JOHNNY CASH “ I believe it’s called “PAID BY CASH “ .Nobody can sing like Don I memorized every inflection in his voice on my favorite songs . God rest your souls Harold and Lew , I believe Lew was their tenor before Jimmy. I was seriously devastated to hear about Harold though.
