I don't play magic. I don't have a console anymore. My pc sucks too bad to play everything but age of empires. But I watch all your videos boogie. It's really like sitting beside a best friend while he does it. And you've got me wanting to start playing again. So, love your vids..... Keep up the good work. One of the few examples of what's good still on the interweb.
The cool thing about magic is that its not really a video game. I mean sure, there's Magic online, but thats not the real thing imo. You can play the game irl, and its way better. Trust me, this game is amazing.
Asher Quirion Since you said "the best thing" about Magic, let me share "the worst thing", it is crazy expensive if you get into it. The OG said he is so poor that his computer can only play Empires. That would mean his computer is 7+ years old basically. You really think someone like that can get into Magic? Face it, magic is for people who are either high middle class or who have a spending problem. *I am sure you will come back with how much money you made from selling cards...
I have never played magic, I don't plan on starting either but I have to say I just picked up a booster pack to open the other day for no other reason than because I absolutely love your vides. There is something so interesting/relaxing/enjoying about watching these unboxing videos. Keep up the good work!
I know this video is old - but the "they put this in here" thing "I don't know what this is"... Is that not a spacer for the box so you can sleeve the cards and put them back into the deck boxes? (Talking about the things at around 14:35ish.
Hey Boogie, I'm not really interested in Magic at all. Never played, not interested in ever getting into it. However, I'm always glad to see new videos from you, no matter what the topic! I usually play your videos while I'm working at my desk, so I kinda half watch and half listen. You're just good positive energy, so thanks for that! I hope you can keep a steady flow of videos coming for years to come! I'll be here!
I really enjoy watching you unbox these just because it reminds me of Pokémon cards, Yu Gi Oh! cards, Duel Master cards, Digimon cards, etc. It makes me want to continue collecting Pokémon cards when I see these. It's also fun to watch you get mind blown and excited from getting good card or noticing the boxes being foiled. I'm sorry if it seems insulting to compare Magic to a bunch of other anime cards, but they all have something in common and that being they can be played with or simply collected.
I just watched this entire video and haven't the slightest care for Magic, but Boogie is just to great to skip any of his videos. Keep them coming my friend!
I've never played Magic, but your videos always make me want to try. You should do a video of you and your friends running through a dummy game to teach how to play the game to a beginner!
Dude your channel is the funniest thing I have ever came across on UA-cam before and when I looked at the number of subscribers you had I suspected it to be in the billions. I have a PS3 and I would love to play with you sometime. My name is toxic_snipes1234, you are a very inspirational and funny guy. Keep doing what you're doing and your life will only continue to get better. If you ever read this just know that I am such a huge fan and I look forward to gaming with you one day if possible.
I'd love to see you play with a friend (and explain things as you go, for people who don't play, like me), or maybe do a How To series for Magic (again, for people who want to live vicariously because they don't normally play).
Hey boogie I just subscribed to you like literally a minute before this comment. Your channel proves that it doesn't matter what shape or size you are, you can still do great things. Keep up the good work man
I remember getting Jayce. Think that was the last deck I bought before I moved on from Magic, kinda wish I would pick it up again. Good times. Thanks for sharing this with us, Boogie!
Loved this unboxing. I want the duel deck anthology so me and my friends can play it like you were talking about. Maybe throw in some randomness with a d8 to assign decks to players. awesome!
Personally I don't know much about gaming or magic cards. I most tune in to watch Francis get pissed and do funny shit. I also like a lot of the heart felt boogie talks about over coming adversity in life. That said I personally really wish the Francis skits would come out a lot more frequently, and with a bit more plot development, such as maybe a rival feud with a neighbor who also games, or something.
Oh man that goes to show you that opening the pack(s) is such a huge part of the fun in any TCG. I haven't played MTG for a long time and i still get exited seeing other people open packs xD!
I'd love those Duel Decks. I don't play MTG anymore but I would use it like a board game like you suggested Boogie. Maybe after Xmas is over as I can't justify spending $100 on my self.
Hey boogie I have two very powerful decks that I had constructed over the years and they are my goblin deck and demon deck. Love to play these decks against opponents from time to time. I also had sparkled dice in the past as well. I'm glad magic had redistributed these items. This is awesome!
Funny thing is, I don't even play MTG or have the time to, but I love watching these vids. Honestly I'd probably buy them just to collect them and look at them. That's what I did with YuGiOh. I never played I just liked the cards haha
would love to pick up the duel decks before the price skyrockets, but just can't drop that kind of money on myself this time of year. hopefully it does not go up to much in a month. great vid
Most of us experienced players do like the box itself (with the exception that the corners always split), But we really like the Dividers more than anything
So as a father, and being 30 it seems a bit late to get into Magic but I did just that via o Magic 2014 & online co-op play, and I find it fantastic I love the strategy and enjoy the artwork on the cards. I never liked it as a kid, thought it was for dorks...little did I know I would grow up to be a computer super dork hahaha! and love all things like this! Great video Boogie, always look forward to them! hope you and yours have a Merry Christmas!
Demonic Tutor, the one from the old Demonic deck is $20 and most other versions are over $12 anyways. I love it in every EDH deck I have that runs black.
to straighten your dividers ( very cheap WotC ) you need to bend them a bit more inward at the corners and i would put some deck boxes in the middle to relax them back to straight
I don't play Magic but dang that box looks awesome. The art is fantastic and the detail they put into the packaging (foiling etc) was awesome. Makes me want to get the box just for the art.
Always loved duel decks for casual play because it's just that; casual. I don't want to use my $600 modern deck against someone who just started. What happens when one deck is overwhelmingly better? Nobody has fun, people call others' decks broken, and it's just not a good time. These are designed to be balanced against each-other, and offers a different pace and feel to playing Magic than the faster-paced, finer-tuned, more concise strategies of Modern or even Standard.
I don't play Magic the Gathering. But, this anthology box set thing looks really really cool. Using it as like a board game is something i can see myself doing.
Holiday Box: Crap quality compared to Ravnica, will not be purchasing. Anthology: Much better quality than most products Magic sells, plus a just general great idea for a product, will be pruchasing. Keep up the good work Boogie! I love watching all of the content in your channel :)
Please don’t hate me for this comment but.... I LOVE magic the gathering... because I love the artwork on the cards.. I don’t actually know how to play. But I absolutely LOVE the artwork. And the names. I’m sorry if that makes me a simp or a weirdo.
Pretty Interesting, I've been thinking about getting in to magic for a while now and with christmas coming up I think I'll get the duel deck to try out with my family. Nice video boogie :)
I was never a fan of magic and I know absolutely nothing about it, but when I was younger, I was a huge pokemon fan. I used to love getting those tin boxes that had the awesome legendary art and shit on them and came with a few packs of cards. Good times. I probably had about a thousand cards. No idea where a single one of them is now. Probably worth some money I bet.
Ben Zimmerman i doubt they are worth much money, i brought all my first gen first edition cards and shadowless into a local game shop and the "pokemon expert" at the store said that old stuff hasnt held much value
Got a foil dragon throne of tarkir, normal dragon throne of tarkir, sidisi the blood tyrant foil. I'm a sultai fan and got the sultai charm. It's awesome
Magic is so unheard of today.. a unboxing may be fun for some.. i have played WoW for 10 years and never come across a magic player, yet my friends were into it.. Could you please open a box / few packs of world of warcraft tcg? Im poor and only wish you a happy opening!
I traded a foil Flooded Strand for an Anthology at my local store. Going to keep it in the box because I speculate it'll be worth a hell of a lot more than it's selling for ATM in a few years.
Hey boogie nice unboxing. I think the spacer in box was to give u space if u want to sleeve the decks. Enjoy. Looks like a nice set. I havent played magic since revised. Its been a while.
The anthology is great, I am really happy I got one. Great for players who don't have a deck or to even the playing field when training new players. Plus the art is great!
I'm not hating but what is the point of opening these? Do you actually play with them or are they for collecting? Just that I've never heard of this before i subbed to you.
Lukeathology unboxing is also in case he gets a rare card, its cool to have on video. Some are worth hundreds depending on what it is. And some that aren't made anymore are even worth thousands.
I really liked the duel decks anthology box. i really want to get one. however it seemed that the bat tokens in the garruke deck should probably be used in the liliana deck instead. a little weird that they came in the garruke deck.
Did you know that they are making a Magic the Gathering board game. From the same guys that brought us HeroScape. It looks sweet!! And will be at GenCon 2015.
Boogie No matter what happens don't listen to those negative people that hate you because I feel bad that you have to go through that and that some people are lucky and some aren't lucky so any way feel bad for you but love your channel
You think that's bad, you should've seen those YGO tins. You got white strips of cardboard that connected and you had to fit it into the tin, to make the most ghetto deck box. Oh, and they included 50 of the cheapest sleeves ever.
Boogie, do you reckon the deck boxes could be laminated for better sturdiness? I Can get the set for €150,- but i'm willing to pay that if the deck boxes can be made a tad bit stronger..
Just found out that for advanced warfare that if u have a Xbox u get the new DLC on 12-11-14 if your a season pass holder. Asher Quirion Nothing beats the smell of new cards.....
Age of empires. I still have that game downloaded to my pc lol.
It was free on GoG at one point
Asher Quirion Since you said "the best thing" about Magic, let me share "the worst thing", it is crazy expensive if you get into it. The OG said he is so poor that his computer can only play Empires. That would mean his computer is 7+ years old basically. You really think someone like that can get into Magic? Face it, magic is for people who are either high middle class or who have a spending problem.
*I am sure you will come back with how much money you made from selling cards...
I'm drinking mountain dew to get into the mood for watching Boogie videos.
damn.. taste like crap!
It's gamer fuel, dog.
Scarmigliodon water is.
I don't even like this stuff but he's SUCH a nice guy I enjoyed this
Nice meme
19:02 "fun to play at your local kitchen table" idk why that made me laugh so hard. you rock boggie
That is a huge box for what is actually inside it. WOW
that giant box for four booster packs haha
I have never played magic, I don't plan on starting either but I have to say I just picked up a booster pack to open the other day for no other reason than because I absolutely love your vides. Look at your name compared to what you wrote here 😂
I just watched this entire video and haven't the slightest care for Magic, but Boogie is just to great to skip any of his videos. Keep them coming my friend!
I've never played Magic, but your videos always make me want to try. You should do a video of you and your friends running through a dummy game to teach how to play the game to a beginner!
Omg magic cards got to have the most beautiful art ever on a card :O
the devider is there so you can still use that deck box if you sleeve the cards. Sleeves are thin, but 60 sleeves are about as thick as that devider
Dude your channel is the funniest thing I have ever came across on UA-cam before and when I looked at the number of subscribers you had I suspected it to be in the billions. Also, when you opened the Demon Deck, I was startled that I could remember some of those cards! Brought an unexpected smile to my face. :)

Boogie2988 - Savior of gaming and the internet.
Praise Lord Boogie.

You can fix auto-focus issues by turning off autofocus in the camera options built into OBS, setting the value to 14.5 is perfect
Funny thing is, I don't even play MTG or have the time to, but I love watching these vids. Honestly I'd probably buy them just to collect them and look at them. That's what I did with YuGiOh. I never played I just liked the cards haha

I was looking through my liked videos and this was my first liked video on UA-cam
When the robot overlords finally take control Boogie's camera will have it's revenge for being called stupid.
I like that anthology a lot more than the gift box. I feel like it's something every magic player would appreciate much more than the gift box.

I don't play magic the gathering (I just like watching Boogie open cards) but the Khan Holiday Box is on sale on Amazon for about $17.
Please don’t hate me for this comment but.... I LOVE magic the gathering... because I love the artwork on the cards.. I don’t actually know how to play. But I absolutely LOVE the artwork. And the names. I’m sorry if that makes me a simp or a weirdo.
You have no idea how OP Sagu Mauler is in a ramp deck Boogie. Getting it out turn 3 or 4 is really good!
Awesome! I've been playing magic recently, and as a new player I find this stuff exciting.
Hi. I was just wondering which type of deck boxes you use. Also which company
I know nothing about this game..... but i enjoyed watching you unbox it.
oh god i havent bought and unboxed a magic set in almost a year now so much nostalgia watching this video!
If I loved someone enough that wanted to play magic Id want to get them a deckbuilder toolkit instead and its the same price. thanks for showing this!
As you tell Boogie, I have been quite busy these last few years, so have been binge watching videos that I have missed, LOL!! Keep up the good work!!
Know absolutely nothing about this game and yet still love the unboxings!
magic costs you as much as a cocain addiction :(
Get that damn spider off my screen XD
Probably more.
pokemoguyy01 I had to do it too. Just such a great troll.
Haha
I have no interest in Magic but I found this video entertaining to watch. Thanks for sharing Boogie.
Pretty Interesting, I've been thinking about getting in to magic for a while now and with christmas coming up I think I'll get the duel deck to try out with my family. Nice video boogie :)
Pretty cool. Don't want to get into paper Magic though, once you're in it's a landslide of purchases and keeping up with the 'new stuff'. :P
I just bought the Anthology a few days ago and it is amazing. I was soooooooo happy
The thing inside the boxes is so the cards won't love around when unopened, but the box is viable after sleeving up the cards
I was never a fan of magic and I know absolutely nothing about it, but when I was younger, I was a huge pokemon fan. I used to love getting those tin boxes that had the awesome legendary art and shit on them and came with a few packs of cards. Good times. I probably had about a thousand cards. Ben Zimmerman Pokemon art was the coolest.
Ben Zimmerman i doubt they are worth much money, i brought all my first gen first edition cards and shadowless into a local game shop and the "pokemon expert" at the store said that old stuff hasnt held much value
TheDeadlySun the first editions actually did to some extent, atleast first edition charazard is 200$
P5ych00 yeah thats pretty much it though
I don't really play magic but, somehow Boogie makes the unboxing fun.
front man is Mardu, and i didnt really focus on the others and their positions, there are the Temir, Jeskai,
Sultai, and Abzan.
I would just get some Velcro circle things to make those deck boxes better
I traded a foil Flooded Strand for an Anthology at my local store. Going to keep it in the box because I speculate it'll be worth a hell of a lot more than it's selling for ATM in a few years.
Hey boogie nice unboxing. I think the spacer in box was to give u space if u want to sleeve the decks. Enjoy. Looks like a nice set. I havent played magic since revised. Its been a while.

I'm not hating but what is the point of opening these? Do you actually play with them or are they for collecting? Just that I've never heard of this before i subbed to you.
He plays them
It's similar to Pokemon to put it in a basic way
He has played Magic for decades.
Kk thanks guys :)
Lukeathology unboxing is also in case he gets a rare card, its cool to have on video. Some are worth hundreds depending on what it is. And some that aren't made anymore are even worth thousands.
Phyrexia vs coalition had a card that was on the reserved list in it and that is why they decided not to do that again.
I really liked the duel decks anthology box. i really want to get one. however it seemed that the bat tokens in the garruke deck should probably be used in the liliana deck instead. a little weird that they came in the garruke deck.
Not sure why, but I feel awesome knowing Boogie2988, Francis and I have the same keyboard. My coolness = confirmed.
Did you know that they are making a Magic the Gathering board game. From the same guys that brought us HeroScape. It looks sweet!! And will be at GenCon 2015.
Do they still sell these? I want one! And are those decks big enough for sleeved decks?
I think I saw this on Massdrop, they always have some good deals on Magic The Gathering cards.
Boogie
No matter what happens don't listen to those negative people that hate you because I feel bad that you have to go through that and that some people are lucky and some aren't lucky so any way feel bad for you but love your channel
Don't let people get to you your cool we all know it you love what you do and that's what makes you cool
That Illidan pop vinyl is awesome!
Yo that second box is awesome! And congrats on that 8 drop planeswalker spirit dragon you pulled awesome box!
You think that's bad, you should've seen those YGO tins. You got white strips of cardboard that connected and you had to fit it into the tin, to make the most ghetto deck box. Oh, and they included 50 of the cheapest sleeves ever.
I bought a core set of Temur Frontier the other day. I liked it ^^
Boogie, do you reckon the deck boxes could be laminated for better sturdiness? I Can get the set for €150,- but i'm willing to pay that if the deck boxes can be made a tad bit stronger..
Just found out that for advanced warfare that if u have a Xbox u get the new DLC on 12-11-14 if your a season pass holder. But if u own a ps4 like I do and have a season pass u have to wait until next year. Wtf is up with that. U wouldn't happen to know why. By the way love your vid hope yall have a good Christmas and Roll Tide
The cardboard things in the deck boxes are a spacer so that the cards don't fly around inside the deck box.
That duel deck anthology is pretty sweet!
The card on the front is Zurgo Helmsmasher. I think the clan is Mardu.
Unbox a full Khans of Tarkir box man! You are going to get the value of it back 100%!
Boogie we meet at PSX am just comenting that my lil brother liked the video you recorded for him and that psx was awesome looking forward to more events and new games. Anyways take care and stay healthy bro.
So I've been wondering what these boxes are for? Are they filled with all the decks of this season? I'm new to the world of magic.
Hey Boogie, do you buy all of your Magic cards in stores or do you buy some online? Are there any online retailers you'd recommend?
Im a beginner it magic are these cars able to be brought to a tordement or are they only for battling your friends
Thanks for unboxing this set, looks awesome. I've played some magic here and there, and this definitely makes me more interested to get into it. Stay awesome
Damn wish I started playing this game years ago so I coulda got that duel anthology at retail lol. Just learning MTG now. So far a lot of fun but expensive.
Thanks for showing these products, Now i'm definitely going to pick up the duel decks. :)
So in Magic The Gathering do a lot of the old cards or at least a decent amount of new cards introduced every year move onto being permanent cards into future rotations? Kind of like Pokemon TCG?
There is, but those are not valuable or really play worthy.
I bought a holiday gift box and pulled Sorin, and Bloodstained Mire :)
Boogie, this vid gave me the urge to give the game a shot!
cover art: The Mardu Horde (Red/White/Black)
Im a new player interested in magic the gathering.. im being honest but if i got this as an intro to the game id be pretty dissapointed.. 4 card packs and a small stack of land? doesnt even seem worth it for someone like me who has nothing to do with the game yet..the big box..now theres something worth it for a new player.. 100 quid but i actually get to play the game, I like, thanks for the video.
What time of the year do they make them
I have never played magic, but have always wanted to learn.
If I only had the time to keep up with Magic. I haven't played it in years sadly. Wish they'd release a decent PC game of it instead of the kinda "meh" stuff they release currrently.
