Creationists are 100% science-repellant so no amount of scientific reasoning will ever break their belief. That said I think it was a great introduction into the geological and botanical history of my beloved home turf. Thanks, Dr. Duff

The science theories themselves about the Universe, consciousness and the origins of life are....well....study it. A lot of the experts are coming to the conclusion that the Universe IS conscious. So what do you think about that? I mean, it`s kinda obvious to anyone who looks around that something far beyond our limited understanding is going on, right? I`m amazed by it all. We haven`t been told the truth about reality...and I certainly do know that much because of multiple personal experiences. This is the main reason I became interested in science decades ago.
@@baneverything5580 Not really. The whole "universe is conscious" shtick is popularized by new age mysticism and popscience articles looking for clicks. Don't believe everything you read on the internet.
Thanks, and the mic issue has hopefully just been remedied. I was trying a new lapel mic for this one and was very unhappy with the quality as you noticed. My latest two videos are using my new mic.
Our Louisiana creek gravels are loaded with very interesting fossils. I`ve also found huge buried tree trunks uncovered by erosion in deep creek bottoms in the Louisiana hills. I wish someone could get samples of them for the tree ring data. We drilled into very deep tree trunks drilling water wells.
I just got through the micro floral fossil section of the Grand Canyon Monument book and as a layman this struck me as essentially obvious evidence for age. I cannot imagine any probable explanation (Probable. Not possible. Sure, I can imagine fantastical or ludicrous ideas, but they are not reasonable) as to how these would not have been totally mixed up in the flood geology view of the geological column.
Yes, I think that is powerful evidence against a global flood explanation for geological formations and the fossil record. The tiny stuff isn't sexy to talk about but its more obvious what the problem is than looking at dinosaur bones for which we have a much sparser fossil record. I have several blog posts on diatoms and other microflora which I will convert into videos at some point.
Could be the mix. A mixer may help or a good Shure Beta 58 vocal mic. But I no longer understand the new ways they`re doing this stuff. I`m from the old days of audio and can`t afford the complicated digital gear needed to record anything now.
As an aside, props to ScienceDirect, and/or Grimsson, Denk and Simonarson who deserve some recommendation for not adhering to Betteridge's law of headlines in naming their paper. Though it applies mainly to news articles, nearly anything headlined with a question can be answered, "No". haha! :D
@adamredwine774 lies like there was a flood? or lies like you were created? its not even a religous fact. i wasnt a christian last year but evidence for the flood made me into one.
@@GhostScout42 As I have respect for Dr. Duff’s approach I’ll not let my natural instinct guide my response. I think you are tragically mistaken. I encourage you to watch more of Dr. Duff’s work.
@@GhostScout42Noah's Flood seems convincing only when you don't have a good understanding of geology and other evidence based fields of science. It fills in gaps in people's knowledge and makes it out to be somewhat convincing. I think you need to evaluate your beliefs. Most Christians do not accept Global Flood. It's unfortunate that you were led down the path of misinformation and thus buying into beliefs that reject evidence based science. Consider other options to follow Christianity. Dr. Duff here is great.

Old Earth Creationism isn't disregarding the Bible for another religion ( science). LOL 😂
There is no reason to disregard facts about reality in favor of believing falsehoods. Lies do not make your religion more credible.
