Audley Freed was the best guitarist on the planet when he was playing with "Cry of Love" because he could express himself, with The Black Crowes he was forced into a corner. Freed should start again a project like Cry of love.
I love that band. Audley is an untouchable talent. And he was fortunate enough to make music with two of the best singers I've ever heard. Kelly Holland (rest in peace brother) and Robert Mason. Both albums are different in beautiful ways. I can never pick a favorite. That Cry of Love weren't headlining monsters is a travesty. The Seattle thing kept a lot of awesome bands from becoming well known and appreciated. Cry of Love, Brother Cane , Arc Angels, Pride and Glory to name a few. But it's nice to see Audley still active and in demand.
+janice kent Kelly was here. Just playing drums for local bands like Crush and Vistalite. I don't know why he had no ambitions for more. A waste of talent
This band was so dam good...These Riff's from Audley makes the hair on my arms stand up...

As a fan of Black Crowes, and have seen them 200+ times, I agree with u 100%. That Jimmy Page/Black Crowes thing was amazing tho.
20 years later and I still come back to this video!!

Audley Freed is a monster. Wish he did more of this type of blues rock now. He's more laid back nowadays.

A classic. Great upload Rob. Glassy Strat tone, roaring lead. It could only be the Master, Audley Freed!

Why doesn't my Bogner sound like this? Oh that's right. I'm not Audley Freed.

Kelly Holland
that´s not kelly singing...!!! wtf
+Brian Hansen No! Kelly Holland was long gone, after October of '94. No surprise Cry of Love didn't carry on, Kelly was one hell of an act to follow.
