Benji's humour is phenomenal. Just his deadpan delivery and timing is elite, there's always at least a couple moments per episode that completely crease me
Medium mountain stat - keep in mind that between 0 and 7% slope it's a decreasing mix of flat and (mo/mm/hil depending on your effort), and above 7% it's only (mo/mm/hil depending on your effort):
0-77 effort: pure MO
82 effort: half MO/half MM
87 effort: pure MM
91 effort: half MM/half HIL
95 effort: pure HIL

Could you elaborate on this? I understand what you wrote like this: If we're on a ridiculous slope of 12%, if I would go full gass on Vingegaard, he would be worse off? Because his MTN rating is better than his HIL rating? Other way around I'd be better of legging it with Van den Poel on the same slope, because his HIL rating is better than his MTN rating? Do I understand you correctly or am I way off?
@@merijnio You are correct that Vingegaard prefer to have it lower paced on a climb and Van der Poel needs to have it high paced. Vingegaard will always ride faster the more intensity he is on. But compared to others he would have the most benefit by riding at his 77 effort. I don't know the exact numbers but if Van der Poel is doing 95 effort on a climb then Vingegaard would have to do a higher effort to match the speed if we don't include drafting. Vingegaard would therefore use more energy than Van Der Poel riding that same speed. The other way around then Vingegaard at 77 effort up a 7+ slope mountain would require Van Der Poel to do effort in the 80's to match Vingegaard's speed. Therefore using more yellow bar and maybe even some red bar and at some point Van Der Poel will be empty and get dropped. But you obviously can't just use effort 95 for Van der Poel for an entire mountain since he will be empty quite fast. So you gotta look at the climbs for a stage and try to ride it in a way that fits your riders while not letting other riders get a gap/too big of a gap to your leader.
So on a long climb with a rider like Vingegaard you would rather have a steady speed where you keep pressure on the other riders and tire out potential attacking riders. Where as a rider like Pogacar who can do both Mountain, MM and hills then he would benefit compared to Vingegaard by having it lower paced and then at a certain point on the mountain have a more explosive tempo to try to hurt Vingegaard and forcing him to use more of his hills ability which will force Vingegaard to use more energy compared to Pogacar if Vingegaard tries to match the speed of Pogacar.

Hi Benji, loving you videos. But, can you make an tut vid about how to sprint? I'm playing with VLAB and can't seem to win a sprint. I have the slightest idea that I'm doing something wrong.
Honestly, sprints are bugged in the game right now. I find them impossible to win in PCM2024 too.

I'm afraid that stage doesn't work as an example because everyone slowed down in that same corner and had to start from low speed. So far, I haven't had a single sprint where I can prove that that works or not, because on the other ones I got blocked into Narnia. 😂
I think the reason why you are not competing in sprints is because your riders lack acceleration. I believe that they made ACC more important then in previous PCM games. All those riders you mentioned that you should be competitive with also have higher ACC. Just a thought :) glad to see you back in PCM benji :)
And it makes sense that you need ACC to get out of the wheel of your lead-out. Makes me wonder if you have a better leadout with a high ACC as well.. what do you think?

I love your content, I love this series. But this episode showed soo many issues with the AI behavior in PCM. It's almost a waste of your time and energy that you have to create content on this unfinished game.
