❤ I understand about wanting to love and wear all your knits. I know I do. It is good to learn new things and to applaud yourself for giving the new things your time and energy, but anything that takes away the pure joy that you get from knitting does not always have to be pursued to the end. I have had the same reaction to some paid patterns as well and have filed them away for another look see in the future, at a different time in my life. Knitting is so physically and emotionally connected and our feelings along with our likes and dislikes are so fluid from day to day that we cannot help but see things differently today from yesterday. I have embraced making some wearables today that I said no way to the day before. I so enjoy your podcasts, your knitting is outstanding and I learn something new every time I watch, so thank you for that. Joyce
Thank you Joyce! Really appreciate this message. So much wisdom and a big “here here” from me. 🤗 Time is our most precious and valuable resource!
I LOVE drinking coffee from a mug that has a thin lip that flares out. Fits my bottom lip perfectly.
Love the way you honour the 'original caretakers of the land.' I appreciate you sharing your knitty goodness with us. The yarn cupboard is so funny!!
Thanks KD!! So nice to hear this 😂 🌟
Hi Leanne! I so enjoy your podcasts! I am a Canadian expat living in Jordan for so many years and at every podcast you bring a little slice of Canada to me! Thank you so much for taking the time and I also love your projects.
Hi Linda 👋🏼 I am so happy to have you travelling with me! Thanks for the kind message.
That land acknowledgement was beautiful!
Thank you! I realized after the fact that I forgot to tap my index fingers together for “friends” 👉🏼👈🏼
Every time you opened your yarn wardrobe… the divine sound effects. SO FUNNY 😅 Thanks for sharing! 💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖
Thank you 😂 I only realized while editing after-the-fact that I NEEDED to figure out how to insert that sound effect. Worth alllll the effort to find it and upload that sound bc it cracks me up every time.
@@theknittystew I loved it too!
I’m not gonna lie - I giggled, and the second time it opened I was holding my breath that it would happen again. 😂
I loved it as well! 😁
There is nothing in this podcast that I did not like. I was sad it had to end...but I look eagerly for the next one from you! So many great knits all added to my to do list. Thank you for all your sharing!!
Thank you Sue!! That makes me so happy!! 🌟
Another enjoyable video. I, too, feel exactly the same about Stephen and this year’s knit along. Happy knitting and peace and love.😊
Thank you Cecilia! Happy knitting, peace & love to you as well! We all need lots of that don’t we?
The heavens opening up when you opened your yarn cupboard... I think you've truly found your people and vice versa, I love it! 😅 Thank you for another wonderful episode, starting with that amazing acknowledgment, so respectful and beautiful, I thought. I'm knitting a little pumpkin hat, too - the Sweet Pumpkin by Drops (free pattern). I like the one you're knitting, too... I'll have to check that out. I love ALL your content so much, the knitting et al! Like the chickens and your sister teaching your friend to knit. That was just so lovely and a treat to watch. Take care and good luck with all your wonderful projects!
Catriona there’s no doubt about it I am so happy I’ve found my community!! When I was editing this video and realized I needed to figure out how to insert the angelic choir my husband could hear me sampling different choir sounds and laughing my head off … and I said to him “The ones who comment on the angels are my people”. And sure enough… here you are. 😆 Happy Knitting! Whatcha working on? Please DM me so I can make sure I’m following you on Instagram and Ravelry.
YES!!! I download the KnitPicks free calendar for my screen saver each month. The colors are so in keeping with the seasons! We are yarn obsessed I admit it.
We are obsessed and proud of it! 😂
Love the hat with the flowers, blue and yellow.. Pressed flowers..
All the projects today are amazing, vest , cowl , the fox shirt lol
Thank you sister! 🤗
THANK YOU!! You helped me immensely in this episode. I am almost halfway through the second clue of the MKAL, and I am not enjoying it at all. I love Stephen West and I think he is brilliant, but I am forcing myself to get through this pattern. After watching your episode this evening, I laid my shawl on the ground and was brutally honest with myself. Knitting is my joy, my love, and I never dread picking up my projects, until now. The minutes and hours that I spend knitting should be joy-filled, peaceful, relaxing, and comfortable. If I am not looking forward to my knitting time, then I need to let the project go 🥰
Candace this gave me goosebumps! The past 12 days since this MKAL began has been a HUGE lesson for me in honouring two very precious things: my time & my heart! We have to keep our knitting practice our “happy place” 🥹
Nice to see you at home with all these lovely knits and acquisitions. Your cat is so cutre !
Hi 👋🏼 Nicole! Thank you for being here. Quynn the cat is very helpful 😂
Lovely as always Leanne 🥰 love the shirt, love the signed opening, loved the “AHHHH” when you opened your cupboard 🤣 happy birthday Mr Knitty Stew.
In Stephen we trust! This is my first and MKAL and I’m happy to take risks in life but never when it comes to crafting and knitting I like to know exactly where I’m going before I start. This has been such an interesting experience, and I’m 2/3 of the way through clue two and my husband is like WTAF! I just think it’ll be wrapped around me, it’s a shawl, and it will all blend into the colours I love and if not, I can always rip
It out. But so far so good I’m having so much fun learning new things and being very detached 😆🤣 I’m not a quitter 🤭💪🏻 thanks for sharing and those chickens 🐓🥰
Your messages always make me smile and laugh CasuarinaGirl! Once I take a minute I will once again “trust Stephen” and pick up and garter my heart out with Clue 2. Your husband’s “feedback” made me howl. Thanks for being here. The chickens are just so fabulous! Who knew they could be so good for the soul!?
Wow - what a lovely land acknowledgement.
Just putting my head above the parapet 😮. I just can’t see the joy of Steven West shawls. Wish I did as I miss out on the fun of the KAL. X. Thanks again for the interesting podcast 😊
Hi Morag 👋🏼 First I will admit I had to Google the saying “head above the parapet” and yes I appreciate that! We like what we like. I am willing to do and say things that aren’t popular because we like what we like and that’s ok ! Makes the world go round! Thanks for your message!
Heard about your channel watching other channels. Nice with a Canadian knitting channel having lived in Canada for eight years and being married to a Canadian. We now live in Norway where I am from. Now I have all your previous episodes to enjoy!
Love this
Thank you Darlene! Everyone is so nice on here.
Your sisters chicken coup brought tears to my eyes! Love love love this 😊😊😊
I just told my sister you said that and she was so happy!! 🐓 ♥️
❤ Unwind Wool has to be my favourite yarn shop. I always find what I am looking for and what I am not looking for and an added bonus is Maureen, she is just lovely to visit with and very knowledgeable and helpful.
That’s awesome! The best yarn shops are the ones with happy knitters working there. I too always find what I’m looking for and what I didn’t know I was looking for haha!
Dear Leanne; Another great episode; your are always a delight to knit with. Thanks for taking us along on your jouney and teaching us something along the way. Your projects and yarn choices never fail to inspire. Here lies another fiber enthusiist, who has a swatch, from Frankie Grey Fibers, for a phone wall paper. Take Care, Happy Knitting and Safe Travels. Best Regards, Lori
Aw! Thank you Lori that was so nice to read. 🤗
OMG that little pumpkin hat is too adorable!!
Babies/kiddos in pumpkin hats are soo good for the soul.
I love the diversity of your knitting! You definitely keep me inspired. Thanks as always for your podcast and taking us along 😊
Thank you Stephanie for being here 🤗!
Thank you, this was my first time watching and listening
Thank you Susan for checking it out! Appreciate you spending your time here 🤗
Love the land acknowledgment! Thank you! I agree-wasn’t loving the Stephen west shawl-frogged it-would never wear it for me but all the love to those that dig it. Love your podcasts!! Thanks!!
Thank you Heather! It comes down to us being true to our ‘knitty-selves’ doesn’t it? Our time is our most precious resource. So if something isn’t giving me joy, I have learned to take a minute and assess. 🌟
You give me so much joy, darling friend! So many things to comment on. The fox shirt! My favourite motif, prob because of my love for little fox dogs. The weekender looks great on you. I love how the pressed flowers hat turned out. Pressed Flowers everything. The Long Way Homestead yarn looks like whipped cream and how sweet that Betsy from Love Ewe Farm sent you yarn! You and Dave MUST buy a home where you can have chickens, rabbits and baby goats so I can come and snuggle with them & knit with you! Thanks for accompanying me for a few rounds of sleeve island 😘
Chickens, baby goats, llamas, miniature pigs, BFL sheep, cats, dogs….i think I’m going to need a few acres.
@@theknittystew can I buy an alpaca and leave them at your house?
Another great podcast Leanne! Thank you so much for sharing with everyone. Your land acknowledgment was beautiful.
Thank you so much Christine! I forgot to tap my pointer fingers together to sign “friends” 👉🏼👈🏼
Love all your projects you completed, definitely going in my queue. I have been enjoying your podcast so much.
Thank you Nicole !! Glad you’re here !! 🌟
Hi Leanne, loved spending my morning knitting time with you 💛 your layovers sound amazing!
Thank you so much for knitting with me this morning Anastasia! I am catching up on my missed podcasts and really look forward to watching yours!
Steven West is the Willy Wonka of the knitting world.. wild and wonderful with a tad of weird
My screen saver is a close up shot of a cake of spincycle dreamscapes. Photo was shot directly into the center with it spiraling into its color changing magic.
Love that so many have replied that their screensavers are wool … this one sounds dreamy!
Such beautiful colours of yarn. 🇬🇧
Thank you Elaine 🤗 🌟
Thanks Leanne,,,,such a great Podcast,,,,,
Enjoyed every minute,,
Elainr🏡🏡
Love UR Steven west shawl,,,,
Hello 👋🏼 THANK you! 🌟
Ooh, I loved seeing your woodland loafers Leanne. I’ve had those in my favourites for years and keep meaning to try the pattern…it’s good to know that you’ve had a very positive experience knitting them up 😊
The land acknowledgment with sign language at the start of your video was so lovely, thanks for sharing ❤
Love the colors on the shawl green accent great
I love the music when you open your yarn cupboard Leanne! That’s brilliant. It is so lovely to sit and knit with you whether you’re travelling or at home ❤
Aw thank you!! Do angels sing when you open your yarn cupboard too?!!
I had tears when you acknowledged native culture, etc. So beautiful. The world needs more inclusion like that. 🧡 what a peaceful way to start a video.
Thank you Sandy! We have a long way to go to heal as a nation, but it begins with each of us.
I think intention married with your disciplinary nature is something that really draws me to your channel. I never feel any "FOMO" here. Not sure if this makes any sense. Anyways, your acknowledgement of Treaty 7 was beautiful and I hope the people of that land feel honoured. You are a beautiful light Leanne.
Brittany! You are so so kind. You and your light 💡 single-handedly awoke my inner “fibre enthusiast” and there’s no going back.
I’ve been to the Love Ewe Farm to watch the shearing. What a lovely couple, as well as beautiful yarn.
That’s awesome! I look forward to knitting with their wool. Have a pattern picked out already!
Beautiful episode! Thanks so much!
Thank you Elizabeth 🤗
Thank you for sharing ! Love all the picture
Thank you Barbara 🌟
Yes yarn is my screen saver! I agree with you on the Stephen West MKAL. Too much knitting for one week. Really having a hard time convincing myself to finish.
Shel hello yarn screensaver friend! I have put my MKAL in a time out for a minute. I went toooo hard on Clue 1 which was a monster of a challenge. I’m taking a deep breath and DEFINITELY changing my timeline on it. It should come with a disclaimer for people like me 👉🏼 “Leanne, it’s not a race.. 🤦♀️ “
❤ great enjoyable pod cast.
Thank you Candace ⭐️
I LOVED your opening acknowledgment of the First Nations Land! Another delightful episode!
Thank you Linda 🤗 !!
Your Pressed Flowers Hat and Bandana Cowl look amazing.
Thank you! Both were soooo fun and fast! 🌟
Thank you for this lovely podcast ! Love your idea of filming in different parts of Canada and visiting yarn shops...a real pleasure!
Hug from Trois-Rivières (Qc) 💗🧶
Hello Johane! Thank you so much for being here! 🤗
Always a pleasure to see you! I love your energy. Your fox shirt's awsome! 🤩
Thanks for this episode 😘
Thank you for spending some time with me Danielle 🤗
Love the acknowledgement. We acknowledge our indigenous custodians of the land in Australia too but that was such a great way to present it. I really appreciate your pattern suggestions. From the Gadagal country of the Eora nation now Sydney.
Thank you Erica! I really noticed when I visited my friend across in New Zealand back in 2017 that the language and acknowledgment was far more integrated than here in Canada. Slow and steady progress. We have a loooong way to go 🇨🇦
I'm with ya on loving that Purl Soho yarn wall! I started using that yarn wall pic as my Zoom background for all meetings during COVID. My work is completely unrelated to the beautiful fiber, but all the yarnie people in the meetings were lovvvving it in the chats 😁. Great job with the channel. Really enjoy watching from down here in Phoenix seeing your yarn adventures & your Canadian cities tours. Peace, love & yarn ☮️♥️🧶
That’s a great way to find other “wool people” on Zoom Meetings! I appreciate your support Mary! Thank you for watching and sending such a positive message. 🌟
Thanks for a lovely podcast. I love your saying ‘ringing my bell’ it’s exactly how I feel when a yarn calls my name.
🔔 🔨 Right!!
Hello, thank you for this beautiful podcast. Love the moment where we can see your friend learning to knit with your sister ! He seemed to learn fast ! And I will definitely make the bandana cowl but without PurlSoho yarn cause I live in France... and the slippers ! Love it... I am actually knitting my second Sophie Scarf by PetiteKnit and I admit I love making it. For me it's the prefect little scarf. 🧡🧡🧡
Bonjour Raphaele 👋🏼 thank you for your message and for spending the time watching the podcast! My friend did pick it up very quickly. He has been practicing his garter stitch and is moving in to making fingerless gloves knit flat! Yay another one joins the knitting army.
Loved your yarn cupboard Leanne it's a beautiful piece of furniture. Years ago I lived in Calgary and in High River before moving to NB. Looking forward to your next podcast.
Thank you Mona! It was an upcycle project that I got off Facebook Marketplace and now I love it soo much.
Another great episode, Leanne! I so would like to try Nutiden, as I would like to knit unspun, but find most too harsh for my skin and I hear that Nutiden is quite soft. I agree about Clue 1 - soooo tedious. I am knitting the very last few rows as I watch your podcast and then it’s just the icord bind off and I can make the cool braids and finally start Clue 2, which better go quick or I will get even further behind. I love knitting SW but also find they aren’t necessarily my jam to wear. My Shawlography from last year is still not finished because I thought the last clue was ridiculous and circus like. We will see how I like this one. I keep seeing other knitters clue 1’s and liking their yarn combos better than mine- knitters envy- lol! Okotoks looks beautiful. I have a friend who has moved there, so I will hopefully get to see it one day.
I came across your podcast by chance and picked it to watch as I have family who emigrated and now live in the beautiful town of Okotoks.I was lucky enough to also go into the yarn store and it is a treasure trove.I have been into Yarn Twisters in Mahogany and bought from the Fairmont at Lake Louise and the Quivit Boutique in Banff .My next visit is March so I will be treating myself again.Thank you for such an inspirational pod cast .Happy knitting 🧶🧶🧶
Hi Elaine! Thanks for your messages! I enjoy reading them. If you come to Calgary you’ll want to hit Pudding Yarns or Stash lounge in Calgary. There’s also a sweet little shop tucked in Marda Loop called Little Bow Fibre Co!
@@theknittystew hi Leanne thank you for your reply and recommendations .I will definitely have to try and visit them.🧶🧶
Thanks for another great video.
Thank you Claudia! ⭐️
Beautiful!!! 🐑❤️🐑❤️🐑
Thank you Jennifer 🤗
I DO have yarn as my screensaver! Just found your podcast as I was knitting on my pressed flowers cardigan. Look forward to more episodes
Hiii glad the algorithm “knew” to bring you to another fan of the Pressed Flowers mosaic! How’s the cardigan coming along?
Your Nutiden Cardi is inspiring. Thanks for sharing. I’m new to Nutiden and am currently knitting with Luckra - single strand on US 5 ChiaoGoo steel - Fields of Gold pattern from Hundred Acre Wool. I love love knitting with Luckra. This Nutiden collection (including Jera which I also have :) is higher in lanolin, so Caroline said it can lend itself to single strand knitting. I know each batch is different. Although the pattern calls for double strand, I made gauge with the single and it’s working 💕. I’m just sharing to plant a seed for you…. I also completed a test knit for Ailbiona using Nutiden Parallell held double to make a beautiful ribbed lace Henley pullover. Anyway, thanks for the podcast! You’ve inspired me 😊 I also signed up for the Purl Soho cowl KAL but plan to use some handspun yarn I picked up from a shepherd and maker last year. Safe journeys
Julie you are rocking the Nutiden! The Skrymsle isn’t high in lanolin it’s soo fragile.
I spit my tea when you talked about your phone wallpaper background 😂 I have had a Two Of Wands Color Theory palette as my phone background since before she launched the collection and I always think to myself that people must think I'm obsessed. Lol! You are not alone sister. 👏
Samantha .. you are my people! Love it. I am not alone. 🌟👏🏼🤗
Wow, you are a lovely presenter. Subscribed 1 minute into the video
😊
Wow, thank you! That makes me so HAPPY to read that!
I've not seen a sleeveless Weekender - it looks great. And I ABSOLUTELY have a yarny screen saver on my phone....LOL
Lisa!! You are my people!! Yarnie screensavers for everyone!!
I want to knit all the things after seeing your makes. A nice little book for identifying sheep and their fibre is The Field Guide to Fleece.
Oh awesome thank you for that recommendation! And thank you for being here ⭐️
I live in the countryside just outside of Morton, Illinois, the Pumpkin Capital of the World. Every year we have a Pumpkin Festival, and all the children participate, wearing little pumpkin hats. Love pumpkin!
Neato! Pumpkin Capital of the World! THAT is amazing. Lots of pumpkin hats and pumpkin pie… heaven on earth! 🎃
Love your podcasts and so enjoy your outings footage. I used to live 15 minutes from the Peace Bridge and took regular jaunts into Canada Miss that a lot.
Hi Nina 👋🏼 thank you! Oh lovely you lived right downtown in the heart of YYC. Where are you now?
@@theknittystew I live in Kentucky now. Nearest yarn shop is 1.5 hours away. Love when you visit a yarn shop and I get to enjoy it vicariously.
Leanne, you and I are in the same boat with the MKAL! I was curious but not happy with the results. So, I too am ripping it out. It's beautiful shetland yarn from the Gathered Sheep Yarns so I think I can find a more wearable application for it ;). Also, that shirt...is chef's kiss amazing. I would recommend getting yourself a copy of the Fleece and Fiber Source book as you embark on your breed exploration journey. I enjoyed your episode on a damp, fall evening with my Kirruna shawl! Many blessings, Sarah. Also...should ever fly into Fredericton NB or Portland, Maine...keep me posted!
Thank you for spending that time with me today Sarah! Sounds extra cozy… you had me at “beautiful Shetland yarn from Gathered Sheep Yarns”. *siiiigh* regarding the MKAL. I am really torn at the moment. I was silly to force myself to complete Clue 1 in a week. It is all too fresh for me to make a conscious decision 😆
Oh my stars! I have just watched while on the tail end of the endless Clue 1! I’m 5 rows off the (dreaded) i-cord bind off… I’m so glad I’m not the only one who has found this clue a bit frustrating. I’m looking forward to getting started on clue 2, just to be doing something different from all the cast on/cast off rows. I love your sister’s hen house! I would totally be that person who insists on a xylophone and wallpaper, too…
Jody I am honoured I could run with you across the (Clue 1) finish line. My MKAL is going into a timeout while I collect myself and my feelings 😆.
The chickens really are delightful.. I can definitely see the appeal. Chicken love!
Ha, I like the way you put it- reclaiming your yarn. I did that. I also was tired of the repeats but wanted so badly to learn new skills, but the time it would take... and not be something I wore, pushed me in the frog it. I also couldn't unsee Malificent's dragon, lol. Always excited to see your knits. Glad you got some rest time from home. All the best, Kim
🤣😆 Malificent’s dragon! You are soo right! Can’t unsee that 🐉! Thank you Kim for your message this made my day.
@@theknittystew hahaha! So glad! Enjoy whatever your knitting today. I apparently can't stop casting on things, haha
Your sister knows how to treat a chicken right! I love to see happy animals. I was not that crazy about the Kal pattern either. I may try Steven's Boneyard if decide to try to learn to knit again. Loved seeing your yarn cabinet. I have yarn and projects everywhere.
Hi Barbara! Yes my sister’s chickens are very fortunate! Thanks for your message. I hope you are having a lovely weekend !
Hello from Wilmington Delaware USA! Love your podcasts
Hello there Teresa! Thank you for being here.
Wow! What a great podcast! I love your aesthetic. I’m definitely adding a sleeveless weekender to my queue. If you ever fly out east, and have a lengthy layover in Halifax, come out and see us at Gaspereau Valley Fibres near Wolfville, NS. You can meet our flock of Cotswold sheep, and visit with Mittens the cat in the shop. Watch the sky for bald eagles as you come up the River Road.
Ohh! Thank you so much. Sounds great! I had a passenger onboard recommend your place in NS. Would I be able to get your email address?
what a great episode. So inspiring and fun as always :)
Thanks Jillian!!
Wow what a super podcast!!! Love your knits!!! I would love to see the way you pack your knits for a trip🎉
The mosaic hat is gorgeous on you!! Only half way watching so I am going finish your video
Hugs and happiness ❤
(((hug)))
Really enjoyed this one too. Hang in with the shawl. 2 clue much easier. I’ve decided after that 1st one, that I am going to take my time and enjoy it. If I complete on time,B we’ll, that’s just a bonus. Have a cat that’s just as curious only he loves to chew the yarn too,
Thank you! I don’t know the meaning of “pace yourself” … never have! 😆
Your land acknowledgment was beautiful. Your sweater vest is awesome and you are too.
Thank you Jane for the kindness in your message and for spending time watching my Channel 🤗 🌟
I love that cowl by Purl SoHo too! I agree that making one isn’t enough 😂👍🏻. I made it in a delicious burgundy Alpaca. A bit furry for a closer fitting cowl. You have great knits! Thank you for sharing.
Thank you Heidi 🌟! I see a pile of these Bandanas in my future. The burgundy one in alpaca sounds amazing.
Very enjoyable episode! So glad that I stumbled upon your channel.
Thank you Lisa! Me too 🤗 glad you’re here!
I love your weekender, pressed flowers, shawl! I love everything as always! Thanks for another lovely episode friend ❤
Thank you Kaci! You are the best! 🌟
Love your podcast 😊
Lovely episode, I'm waiting for my unspun to tell me what it wants to be as well!
Like Elmer Fudd would say “Be vewy vewy quiet” haha!!
I am enjoying your podcast so much. I’m in St. Albert, Alberta just up the road. Thank you for the 😀😊
Hi Jayne in St. Albert! Thanks for being here 👋🏼 Can I ask where you go to get yarn in person up there?
Enjoying your podcasts- great to watch a fellow Canadian 😊
I had the opportunity last month with 4 other knitters to attend Shetland wool week and it was awesome! This had been in the plans since 2019and then Covid hit 😢
Truly an experience everyone should try to attend
I could go on and on my daughter has chickens too
I’ll stop now 😊
Deborah feel free to “go on and on” any time! Shetland Woolweek in-person! What a dream. Hope you came home with a suitcase full of wool and memories to last a lifetime!
Thanks for another fun episode. My best friend lives in Black Diamond, so I know the area a bit. I visited before I started knitting so I missed the YS in Okotoks. I agree with you about Stephen West. He is a genius, but I wouldn't weat anything he creates, and since I'm on a budget, I content myself with watching the videos and looking at the finished objects. Happy Fall!
Happy Fall to you too Dominique! I love Black Diamond.. beautiful area. 🌟 Thanks for being here!
I love your choice of knitting patterns - some of them are in my knitting queue so it inspires me to get knitting 🧶 also love the sound effects - only yarn lovers understand. Haha.
Hi Sandra 👋🏼 LOVE this message. Only fellow yarn lovers get it 😂
It was so nice to discover your podcast! My hometown is Calgary and I lived in Okotoks for 15 years so it was nice to see the store Unwind Wool in your podcast. They have moved their store since I lived there. It was previously a quilt shop. Happy knitting!
Hello Lee-Anne! Glad the UA-cam algorithm sent a fellow YYC-er my way! What are you knitting on?
@@theknittystew I am knitting a pair of Christmas socks. I mostly knit socks, but one of these days I will attempt to knit a sweater.
I have a ski buddy who used to live in Toronto and now lives in Okatoks! I am heading back to Banff to ski in the spring and want to go there! Banff is my favorite place on earth!
Hi Michelle 👋🏼 Banff is incredibly beautiful. My husband’s been snowboarding at Sunshine Village since they first allowed snowboards on the hill (lol) we are old. 😂
@@theknittystew so am I! Love your podcast!
Thanks for another great video! I love to see all of the projects that you've worked on. My favorites this time are the yellow flowered hat and the slippers ... also great idea having a slipper basket by the door. I just finished a crocheting a beach bag for my Cousin as a thank you gift. I'm also trying to figure out Christmas gifts for the staff at Cardiac Rehab program that I've been going to. It's a 12 week program that ends Jan 6th for me. There are 9 Nurses in total - (5 women & 4 men) and are all wonderful! I have to consider timing to complete the gifts as well ... to avoid stress. Any suggestions are welcome 🙂. Take care and safe travels. Kris K from Connecticut 🧶🎃🍁🍂❤
Hi Kris 👋🏼!! Hope the Rehab is going well 🤗 Those nurses are angels aren’t they?! With you being able to crochet (speedier than knitting) how about 9 coffee cup cozies (maybe with a little heart on the outside ♥️) and gift cards for Starbucks or a cafe near the hospital?
Just found your podcast because I saw The imperfect knitter and she recommaned you. So know I have to watch all your podcasts
Hello Gitte 👋🏼 W E L C O M E! So nice of The Imperfect Knitting to recommend me.
You absolutely make me smile with your love of Canada, and respect and honor for the beautiful people who were the original caretakers😊. I live in Colorado and I’ve only been to Canada once and you inspire me to visit again! Your knits are a joy to see😊thanks for sharing them.
Thank you Yvette in Colorado! I’ve never been to Colorado, but my husband has and says it’s awesome. Hope we both get to check out each other’s cities one day 🌟
@@theknittystew each has its own beauty!
Pressed Flowers. Need the cardigan version. Mosaic would be a new technique for for me. Although now I need the hat too. 😊
When you open the yarn closet ( I’m telling my husband I I should have one), the angels sing. I LOVE IT!
I also love/appreciate the knowledge you impart at the start of every episode. Thank you.
YES I vote for that - Pressed Flowers cardigan! Mosaic is so so fun.
You did a good job with the land acknowledgment. Love that tribute. Beautiful knits and lovely yarn you acquired. Love the cowl! 🍁🧶💕🧶🍁
Thank you Evelyn! I forgot to tap my index fingers together to sign “friends” but I still think it went ok because now I will remember the names with the hand signs. 👉🏼👈🏼
Loved your podcast, you don't need to be in a hotel to podcast I like watching wherever you are. I'm glad I'm not alone. I waited to see Stephen's first clue before I chose my colours and I hated it. I think it's his choice of colours. I'm now going to buy a nice sock yarn and knit socks instead.
Thanks June! I love this message.
Thank you so much for sharing! I think I will join the Bandana Knit a long too!
Yay! Careful they’re addictive!
Great podcast. I love seeing different parts of Canada along with your projects. Enjoy your fall, we are having a wet and cool Spring here in New Zealand.
Thanks Jocelyn! Happy Spring!
Oh my I love your yarn cupboard ❤ I also really loved your acknowledgement of the traditional owners of the land.
Thank you Claire 🌟
Life is good! Love every knit bit and all of your podcast sections thanks again for sharing! ❤
Thank you Nancy! 🌟
I really enjoy your podcasts! Yes, newsletters are deadly for the pocketbook lol! As to Stephen West, he is a genius and has such great energy. I enjoy listening to him and he's a great teacher but his shawls and his choice of colors are not to my taste. And I, like you, want to spend my precious knitting time and money on items that I'm going to love and to wear. Because of that, I probably will never do an MKAL. I like to carefully vet my patterns to insure that the FO will give me joy. At my age, life is too short for worry about being 'a quitter'. When I'm reading, I have a GoodReads category called "Unfinished & Unlamented". If my Ravelry Projects page allowed categories - and if it wouldn't hurt a designers feelings, I might create a category called "Frogged & Forgotten". PS I've seen someone else's Twists and Turns up through clue #3 and it definitely does twist and turn!
Zoedoddle I fully concur! Time is so precious and so is our stash, it must be used to bring us joy. 🌟
Beautiful land acknowledgement! Thanks for another great ep! Love from Toronto ❤❤
Awe thanks Dotty! ⭐️
I love the colors for your MKAL - I will be interested to see the pop of color in Clue 2! (Dawn)
I really liked the Treaty 7 sign language. 😊. And am in Alberta too. 😊
Thank you, Leanne. Your podcasts are always a delight. Oh, I was pining for that dreamy green Nutiden yarn. However, I did the math wrong regarding the time difference and missed it! I really didn’t need it as I have a sweaters quantity of a lovely blue that I have used yet. P.S. I have a daughter named Anna too😊
I promise to use the beautiful Luckra well with something special. Anna’s came to me in a dream while I was pregnant with what was supposed to be a boy… ha! Neat how that happened.
