June 4th Jujube tree growth rate

I am just amazed at how fast Jujube tree’s can grow once they get going. They seem to have no problem flourishing in London Uk given the right micro climate

My jujube tree planted from seeds 6 year ago grow up to 25 ft tall. Roots are very invasive damage concrete. I thought I prune them short by 50%. Now new limb grow straight up very fast at lower base. Is thus good or bad?
