Well, it doesn't make that person crazy, just the insaneness of the decision. Certainly Sigel is at least 2 or 3, but not above.............. .....EARL !!!!
1. Earl Strickland 2. Nick Varner 3. Shane VanBoening 4. Johnny Archer 5. Mike Sigel 6. Buddy Hall 7. Sky Woodward 8. Alan Hopkins 9. Dallas West 10. Jim Rempe
There was a player outside of Chicago, my area, maybe Rockford, Il named Dallas West...same guy you've ranked ? I was always looking for him, told he'd be here, there, etc ready to play $$$ and I never caught up with him. He was lucky.
@bertblue9683 I know but still it's evident based off this list that the US hasn't produced much top talent in the last 20 years. It's been all Europe and Asia
There just isn't enough money for American players. Several countries train, and pay the living costs of players to get better. In the Philippines is a way for great players to get money to support their families. Not so much in the US.
I saw him win back-to-back US Opens. The second time, he was put on the loser side in the first match by Warren Kiamco, and won out from there. He was putting up 6-packs routinely, and playing great.
Anyone that doesn't have Mike Sigel in their top 2 or 3 is crazy. Both for 9ball & 14.1 !!

Shane winning all these tournaments in today’s competition is more impressive than what Earl did in his day

It’s Mika the man child!
“thanks Mike- how are you.”
Pool needs a revamp in America. Most of the players he listed haven't been relevant for 25+ years.
The criteria was top Americans since 1975. So by default, you'll get some older guys.

@@RichardsWorld agreed. Exactly why it needs a revamp. Europe and Asia treat it like a legitimate sport
Sorry but svb takes the top spot now
Mika should not be in the hall of fame.......
2000s Billiards Digest Player of the Decade. I disagree.
