I didn’t know a game would make me so passionate about horses but my favorite horses are the dappled fox trotter and the cow appalosa as I like to call it. Good video as always, it was interesting to watch
A lot of players do not realize that your starting horse in the game is a one-of-kind horse. It cannot be replaced, and therefore you should stable it if you're not riding it.
@Hi I don’t know anymore I believe it's actually Jake's horse (Sadie's husband). In RDR Online the horse is in the barn at their ranch and Jake and Sadie are both alive and thriving (Since Online is in a time period set before the story mode). So yeah, pretty sure it's not an O'Driscoll horse :)
@@83uwb Actually, there's dialogue you can have with Sadie regarding the horse, and Sadie responds by saying it's an O'Driscoll horse and she doesn't care about it one way or the other. So, even Arthur assumed it was Sadie's, but he was wrong.
I wish that u could stable an unlimited number of horses in a corral somewhere. Or maybe u could just have them all run free around the map and call them whenever you need them.
You can keep multiple saves, so just have several different saves with all different horses. That's pretty much what I'm doing. One save has all the "gift" horses, the free horses you get through missions like the walker from the Adler ranch, the black shire, the red turkoman, Buell... another has all the "best" horses, like the silver fox trotter, the black arabian, the silver turkoman (looks better than the gold one IMO, and it was Hosea's horse), another has rare horses like the wild arabians, the tiger striped mustang, the splashed white paint... Yeah, it's a bit tedious (and hard to remember which save has which horses), but it works for me.
@@ninatiu9698 YES. It makes no sense that you can have a ranch with more horses than cows but you can't keep your own horses there... especially considering how stupid it is that you lose honor for trying to ride the horses that ARE there, as if you're stealing your own damn horses. It makes sense when you're Arthur, he can't just take the random horses from camp, as they are probably supposed to be the ones that pull the wagons when they move, but when you're playing as John, at the ranch you bought and built, you still can't technically "own" those horses.
@@salvadorflores7092 search near the little creek river, I found a lot of good horses there (along with the blood bay thoroughbred). I also found it near the border with new austin
Yes to the Brindle Thoroughbred! My favourite ❤ It doesn't nearly get enough love due to its poor starting health and stamina, but come on, it's beautiful, tall, has maximum speed and takes off like a rocket. I've learned that if you find one off the O'Driscolls from Chapter 2, it's one very brave horse versus the stable bought one 👌
You can get free. I got the first one just outside horseshoe overlook. I spotted an O'driscoll riding one, followed him for a while, he despawned and the horse was just standing there. Then again, another one when the O'driscolls attack you on horseback.
I LOVE the Shire you get in the mission where Hosea hunts the bear with you. He looks so epic. And the warped brindle Arabian also looks so dope (plus he reminds me of the horse I learned how to ride on) Btw, I love you calling Arabian horses small, big temperamental divas!! As an equestrian who owns an Arabian in real life I can assure you, Rockstar really came close to reality. We should be happy, they didn’t make it 100% realistic 😂😂
Shut up don’t talk bad about us Arabians we don’t risk our life for dumb humans that big raven black or whatever can suck it because they’re most likely going to die we don’t play that we run fast and we out as soon as we seen a Predator because we are not dying for nobody
Latest lineup for my 2nd playthrough is the Pinto MFT from the stranded lady (of course named Biscuit), the Dark Bay Turkoman from the Chapter 3 Braithwaite horse theft mission (named Cerberous), an Amber Champagne MFT named Merlin, and a Leopard Appaloosa that I haven't decided on the name for yet.
@@G1NZOU How do you get that Turkoman from chapter 3 and keep it ?? That's my favorite horse and I want it for Arthur so badly , it's perfect for my Arthur . I just actually reached chapter 3 and have done no missions yet , is it still available to get ?
@@dariusbaja21 You do the horse theft mission where you're meant to steal some prize horses from the Braithwaites, then instead of going round the front of the stable with your friends, hop into the back window and pick your horse, feed it sugar cubes until it reaches level 1 bonding then feed it one more time. After that go round the front and join your friends to complete the mission, and once the mission is finished run over to the field where the horse fence is and it should be waiting for you. ua-cam.com/video/yt-B_3SYf20/v-deo.html

Buell ...he was my favorite because of his back story and that coat!!. The HHB Piebald Tobiano was #2.. Rachel was #3. #4 the MFT (Don't make me choose ! ).#5 the Tiger striped Mustang ...#6 DW Sooty Buckskin.. #7 THE Black American Standardbred .,,#8 the Nakota, leaning hard toward the Blue Roan... #9 The Black Shire... #10 the White Arabian.
that's a fine list:) i separated my top 10s between story mode and post game horses, so buell is on john's top 10 list. great to hear from you and thanks for watching!
I'm looking forward to seeing John's Top 10 list. You do realize,my horse loving friend, it's merely part 2 of your Top 20 list :) ...I always enjoy your videos,Always !!!!
I can’t decide on my favourite Horses. No joke, I think I would be thinking forever on number 10 tbh. I mean, I’m waiting for the Perlino Andalusian right now, and that might not even come to consoles.
i don't see why the perlino wouldn't come to consoles at some point, but it will be after rockstar introduces something new on PC or online. thanks for watching!
My first horse was the American Standardbread which you can buy in Valentine during the Hosea mission. I loved it. Unfortunately it died in a gun fight and I never had such a strong connection to a horse again. Since this happened I played with the Arabian or the Dutch Warmblood.
@@gilihalevi8592 I know I am 6 months late but you can get the silver dapple on a stranger's mission (Albert Mason:part 3) ironically he made a video on how to get it on his channel.
same! the horses keep me coming back every day. even just riding around and exploring with no particular goal is more enjoyable with a horse. thanks for watching!
My favourite for Arthur is the Chocolate Roan Dutch Warmblood. I feel it suits his character, it's not too fancy and has good stats and gets the job done. Plus no one else in the gang has a DWB. My second would be the Andalusian or the Amber Champagne MFT. I think all 3 horses suit him.
I always get the same horses for all my playthroughs. Silver Dapple Hungarian you can steal from Benedict Albright, named Stormy because her coat looks like a stormy overcast day. A Grillo Dun Mustang I name G.T. The White/Black Arabian named Lady. The black and white Appleoosa named Buckshot. And the Gold Turkoman named Dutchess. Love these horses.
That's crazy, every time I get the Dark Dapple Grey Hungarian in a playthrough. I always name her Stormy too. You know what else is crazy? If you start that mission taking the Dapple Grey HH and you fail to catch Benedict and restart the checkpoint, you can summon a 2nd Hungarian Halfbred.
@@Jon-vi8tp That's where Rockstar messed shit up . The fact that so many great horses aren't available to own with Arthur just sucks , but the real crime is that you you can only own - stable 3 or 4 horses ??? That's just criminal and I don't understand it . And as John you go on and have a big ads ranch with so much room , barn and stables and can't even stable horses there . It's just plain retardation at it's finest and I'm super pissed as a horse lover . You always have to get rid off 1 favorite to make room for another . Sucks
In the early 1970's, I knew the owner of a supermarket chain (Plez was his nickname) who needed someone to keep his horses ridden. He had a farm only a few miles south of me so I rode every pasture in our county I think, and I enjoyed every minute of it. Feeding the horses was the most fun because they watch you with their eyes and make all kinds of sweet sounds. I always wore steel toed shoes because HOPEY, the big white stallion loved to walk on my feet while I saddled him. He was also the one who taught me that plum trees have spikes ... as he rubbed me off on one. Horses who don't fully trust you will rub you off on a fence post or a handy tree, but the plum trees were like perfect tools for old Hopey. My uncles in Kentucky had some fine horses, but I fell in love with an ornery old cuss called Hopey right here in Indiana and he never bored me.
that's a happy memory:) i worked as a bike messenger in high school/college, and in winter i always liked pulling up to the hansom cabs during red lights because those big drafts were so warm. you got a brief moment of peace before the lights turned green:)
In real time it took me approximately 8 hours all together in three separate times of trying to find the Silver Dapple Pinto Missouri FoxTrotter as Arthur Morgan.
My top favorites are the Dark Bay Andalusian, Black Arabian, Silver Dapple Missouri Trotter, White Arabian, Grullo Dun Mustang, and the Dark Bay Turkoman. Honorable mentions are the Brindle Thoroughbred, Bay and Raven Shire, Champagne Fox Trotter, Nokota, and Few Spotted Appaloosa.
I 100% relate to your opening sentiment regarding how this game opened up a passion for horses I didn't know I had. Damn I love these 1's & 0's too! Thank you for creating a wonderful collector's list. Just wish I could stable them all. So far, the Red Arabian is my current favorite. Silver Dapple Thoroughbred a very close second.
I love my stock breeds on Arthur. Those would be the Paints and Appy’s. I think he looks like a Paint and Appy man. I have used Arabians mostly. I always keep one. Normally it is the brindle or the grey one
@@superantonio fair enough :)) but John can have all that money can get him, while Arthur's selection of trustworthy steeds is a bit more limited. At least unless we want to exploit bugs and glitches (which I did and I'm forever thankful to you for showing them :) but anyway, that's why I think Buell deserves to be on Arthur's list ❤️
I guess we all have our favorites, but mine is the golden turkoman. Beautiful coat, nearly fearless and amazing stats across the board. Almost if only the positives of a war and racehorse were combined
one interesting fact about the silver dapple (of course depending on my rather brief research ) , is that it’s not a missouri fox trotter in real life , however it’s rather a fuller and seemingly slower breed .
Silver Dapple Pinto Missouri Fox Trotter. Standing still with a saucy sprig of hair lapping over her eyes! Running at full gallop with her mane and tail flying! Looking sadly down at my corpse when I do a boo boo.
Watching just the intro i was convinced it was just clips side by side of horses not telling us what kind and I was about to get upset until I looked at the length of the video lol.
The Dutch warm blood chocolate roan stats are insane especially given how early you get it. I ended up with 9 stamina and 8 health I think And they’re top end speed really isn’t bad at all
The Hungarian Piebald Tobiano scene in Ch 5 is a masterpiece imo and the horse is beautiful and I haven’t seen a horse like that anywhere else in the game
easy, the brindle thoroughbred, any hungarian halfbred, the champagne missouri fox trotter and the golden turkoman. also check out the new perlino andalusian up at brandywine drop, video here ua-cam.com/video/Cla1aiYVnQs/v-deo.html
@@superantonio Surprised you do not want to keep an Arabian around. I love them for their speed. Yes they spook, but only ever had trouble with them doing that near animals. Never a problem with guns or anything. Just deadeye boom boom, "You're a good girl"
@@mattroxursoul Its cus they are way too tiny for a Man like Arthur . He looks like he is riding a pony , it's comical . And SuperAntonio loves big brave horses , that's opposite of Arabian . I can't stand them either personally , does not fit Arthur at all
My favorites: Palomino Dapple American Standardbred, Perlino Andalusian, Dark Bay Turkomen, Iron Grey Roan Ardennes, Chocolate Roan Dutch Warmblood, Mohogany Bay Tennessee Walker, Tiger Stripped Bay Mustang, Reverse Dapple Black Thoroughbred, Rose Grey Arabian and Buell.
The top 3 for Arthur in my opinion is the Silver dapple pinto MFT, Tiger stripe Mustang and Cerberus the braithwaite horse. 4th one I like to mix between Buell and the tobiano Hungarian halfbred. Reason for the top 3 is the fact that Arthur shouldn't really be able to have any of them. I love how Arthur says "That. Is a silver dapple pinto!" Love at first sight if you know the exploit you simply have to use it for Arthur. Cerberus because it's such a nice feeling knowing that you've stolen from the braitwaites and those low balling horse fences, Tiger stripe because it represents the fact that, despite everything, Arthur did manage to find his way to New Austin's "open country" one final time before the events of the game transpire
I've been using different horses in different chapters Chapter 1: default horse Chapter 2: arabian Chapter 3: andalusian Chapter 4: turkoman Chapter 5: shackled in a chain gang Chapter 6: buell
I love your videos. Very informative and entertaining. You do a very good job at explaining things thoroughly. Your suttle but sometimes underlying sarcasm is Fantastic. But for the life of me , I could not fathom how you do not have a Turkoman in the top 10?
Silver Dutch Warmblood is the best and easiest you can get early on. Better stats than the other coats of the breed and decent even for the Ch6 endgame. Two ways to get it early in Ch2. 1) Check the barn/stables behind house of the Polish immigrant during the 1st mission of the LS (Lenders); 2) is when doing 1st bounty haunting mission steal the horse of the bounty, it will be just standing by near the bounty. Note that character varies even if the horses are of the same breed. I bought several Turkomans to test, and only one was noticeably brave. With time you can instantly feel if the house is brave. For example, the white Andalusian I got in the wild was steering away in my case from every danger even from afar, although it is a war house. While the brindle Thoroughbred you get from the O'Driscle barely notices a snake or shots, although it is a race horse. And it felt better than the free Thoroughbred you get with Ultimate edition.
My Few Spotted Appaloosa has a really strong sturdy build, and is suprisingly quick. He's also pretty chill, not frightened by a mere gunshot. Perfect for combat. Hasn't thrown me once. Beat Dutch in the Chapter 3 race against The Count.
I don't know why but the Andalusian is just right for me. High health and stamina , brave in gun fights and around predators, I can just charge into cougars and wolves on them. I don't do really well with rapid fast horses, but I'll give them another try. It's a crime the Rose Gray Andie isn't available until chapter 6. The Dark Dapple Grey Hungarian is a great horse too, why they just didn't make that another coat option for the Andalusian (Andies are Dapple Grey in real life) is beyond me but at least another War Horse has it. It's a shame Rockstar cut that Liver Chestnut Hungarian Halfbred from the game, I felt we were missing a solid black War horse as well.
my number one is the black arabian , with stimulants it’s the most agile too . in my experience anyway . although being on my third playthrough since the game’s launch , I got tired of it , and now I ride the silver dapple pinto and the brindle thoroughbred .
Am I the only one who is seriously bummed out because I missed out on the iron grey Ardennes? If I had known, I gladly would have paid more to pre-order instead of waiting 2 years to buy the game on sale. I wish they'd just release the rare horses like that as a DLC. They could include the reverse dapple black thoroughbred from the ultimate edition as well as a way to buy the raven black shire, a dutch warmblood the same color as Buell, and give you the horses that are exclusive to online play in story mode. Hell, they could even rip us off and I'd bet a lot of people would still buy it. I'd pay 20 bucks just for the Ardennes! SHUT UP AND TAKE MY MONEY, ROCKSTAR!
Thanks to your guide i can get my silver dapple pinto but the other horse i wish i could get with Arthur is the dark Bay turkomen love that horse also you should do like your favorite gang horses mines is baylock
have you ever seen old boy walk through camp like it's nbd? always makes me laugh. my favorite gang horse is probably hosea's silver dollar. thanks for watching!
I definitely agree with the warmbloods, hasn't let me down yet, the thoroughbred is fairly decent as well, though I still prefer the warmbloods over them, still looking for a foxtrotter though.
I currently have the dapple Thoroughbred, the bronze Turkoman and the grey Hungarian Halfbred in my stables. They are all amazing horses, but I had a mealy Belgian Draft that I sold to make room for a Mustang (biggest mistake I've made so far), and that Belgian was my favorite. It became Arthur's horse after I rode into a gunfight and I got off on the side facing away from the gunfire, and Belgian just stood there taking all the bullets. He didn't run away or even rear up at being riddled with bullets (and he was only at lvl 2 or 3 bonding). And I sold him. I sold my horse, I feel so bad. The Belgians are definitely one of my favorite breeds simply because they are so big and muscular.
@@freddyfox5002 Downside to that is that you'd be playing on an outdated build, and you'd have to contend with all the other patched glitches that don't benefit you in anyway. It's just stupid that Rockstar was so quick to fix that shit to begin with. I don't know what the harm was.
SDP Missouri Fox trotter cannot be found while playing as Arthur becoz ROCKSTAR removed the glitch. However, SDP Missouri Fox Trotter stands 1st in my list as well. NICE VDO
I guess I should go ahead and say this. I've played through a couple of times and I find it's best to exit your horse at the first sign of something that would spook him or her. Yeah I've had a few Arabians dump my butt on the ground, but I've also been dumped by Hungarian Half Breds, Shires, Turkomans, and others. The worst thing that can happen in an encounter with a panther or a cougar or a bear is to get dumped by your horse. Why? Because you encounter a few second "stunned" period in addition to the time it would take you to find and aim. That's critical time. My solution is to vacate the saddle as soon as I see an encounter like this coming. That way I reduce the number of variables and have better success at surviving. You were never "safer" in the saddle anyhow, my friend.
good strategy however the cougar will always circle around and let you get back on your feet, if your horse throws you. she'll give you a couple seconds to find her and aim. quite sporting of her, when you think about it:)
@@superantonio Indeed she almost never eats my ears off before giving me a couple of seconds to recover. I suppose it's my fault my scope was on and wouldn't auto-aim.
Some of you haven’t committed to the Black Shire and it shows. He’s a temperamental beast at first but once you max him out he is badass. I’m on Chapter 6 of my third PT and I’m dreading that one mission 👀 First time I’ve fully stuck with the black shire as my main horse for Arthur and I don’t think I’ll ever go back.
I loved my Turkoman Shilo I bought in Saint Denis and was my horse until the end. I'm on my second play through now, and I have a very cool Hungarian Halfbred in Chapter 3.
About 30 playthroughs, and I still can't get the Silver Dapple Pinto/Missouri Foxtrotter. I usually go with the Perlino Adelunsian, the Turkoman I steal from the Braithwaites, the Brindle Thoroughbred, the Tennessee Walker you start with, sometimes one of the Hungarian Halfbreds. The ONLY horse I "Buy" anymore is the Palomino Dapple from the Valentine stable in chpt 2, then sell it back once I get a couple of the others.
Hello sir i love the video.. I find it kinda problematic findings guides on how to get good horses in rdr2 after the new patch.. Since you seem to have a lot of knowledge and wide spectrum of horses you like i have a question. I'm at chapter 3 now and my main horse is the white arabian i found near Lake Isabella. It's a nice horse but i just feel like it scares to easily. So i wonder if you have any tips at this point where to get a great horse that is better suited for gunfights and hunting etc.. I would love to hear back from you but until then i will subscribe and check out some of your other videos. Merry Christmas from the bottom of my heart
in ch 3 i would go for the brindle thoroughbred at the strawberry stable, a good all-around hunter/mission horse. i would also check out the wild andalusian at brandywine drop if you can find her. happy holidays to you as well and thanks for watching!
@@superantonio Frankly, although there are probably as many opinions on this as there are players, I like the Pied Tobiano Hungarian Half Bred. Until you get him you can likely find one with a different coat available in the wild. Same stats.
You also can get a Dark Bay Turk from Braithwaites in chapter 3. I also like Perlino Andalusian very much. Beautful, brave, full HP, just not so fast. And I don't understand why do you call Thoroubred brave? It's certainly a great horse, but it has pretty low bravery like the other race or elite horses.
Right now I have the spotted appaloosa (named Netyiri), the black arabian (named stormchaser, because it always storms when I ride him it seems), and my favorite, the white arabian (named Ellie). I've been looking for a bigger one but I can't find any with good stats, that also has a pretty coat...
I should've kept the first horse you get as Arthur if only I knew you couldn't buy him again anywhere else. But my favorite go-to horse has always been the White Arabian, that was UNTIL I found out about the Dark Bay Turkoman horse you can get using a glitch in Chapter 3 named Cerberus. He is strong, fast, and has never let me down and is more loyal to my Arthur than a dog. There is also that Reverse Dapple Black Thoroughbred I bought with the DLC I can't seem to stay away from. She's just so pretty! I named her Nebula.
If I had to list my top ten in order that would be pretty tough... The Grulla Mustang would be top 3 if not number 1 - we hit it off my first run through chapter 2 and I have always had a soft spot for him since. Choclate Roan Warm blood, Adillusians, LIVER Chestnut Morgan, Mahogany bay walker, Iron grey Ardennes, Stawberry Roan walker Black Saddler, Dapple palamino Standard bred... all would be on my list plus several others. Hmm guess I will try these thorough breds out - almost invariably when I tamed one I'd get ambushed and the horse would be critically injured my first run through so I never gave them much time. Well that and in real life I'm not that big a fan of the breed. I've known some I was fond of but most were lacking in basic ground manners.
For me it would be 1) the black shire that Hosea gave you. I named mine Duke. 2) the splashes white American paint that you find at NPC camps I called mine Shady. 3) Blood Bay thoroughbred I called mine Adara and lastly the few spotted Appaloosa I called Black Bell. I currently have a chestnut Arabian as my 5th horse that chills at camp and she’s actually quite impressive I really like her too! I need more stables spaces lol
I'm playing on 1.00 and got the game a while ago but never fully sat down and played it I have the disc version and did the gold bar glitch, also knew I have access to an old glitch at Saint denis where you get random horses which would you recommend if I find a certain breed I've found a rare tiger mustang, Edit: Btw sorry for distributing you at this hour because I live in a different time zone rn your channel got me addicted to this game, I love it's great I wanna fill my stable with the good horses get more gold then update
I only wish all the horses were available for Arthur , I think it’s really stupid what R⭐️ did in hiding them for the epilogue . I mean you can’t have a dark bay Turkoman ( which I’m dying to have ) or a silver one . not to mention I burned 3 hours trying the lasso trick for the silver dapple . only to find out it doesn’t work , and if it weren’t for your video tutorial , I wouldn’t have gotten the beauty .
yes that lasso trick was patched months ago, regrettably. it always made me laugh. but i never made a video because it seemed cruel & mean (at least for my version of arthur)
They should've all been available as soon as Chapter 2 started and if you had the money then you could buy one. There was really no need to put a tutorial on how to buy a horse in a mission either. That mission should've been a legendary animals hunting mission only.
I just don't feel right on the smaller horses. The Arabian, Nakota, Appaloosas, etc just seem Too Small for Arthur. I've been sticking with the Thoroughbreds, Standardbred and Halfbred
I can now name my top 10 Horses. Number 10: Tiger Striped Bay Mustang. Number 9: Strawberry Roan Ardenne. Number 8: Leopard Appaloosa. Number 7: Rose Grey Bay Arabian. Number 6: Reversed Dapple Black Throughbred. Number 5: Raven Black Shire. Number 4: Dark Bay Turkoman. Number 3: Silver Dapple Pinto Missouri Fox Trotter. Number 2: Buell. Number 1: Perlino Andalusian.
could you please explain how can I find that Dutch warm blood? I don't mean the one in stable, i want that dark coat. is there any that I could steal it?
The brown one is for sale in the strawberry and scarlet meadows stables in chapter 3 or if you want to get it for free they always spawn in with the gold prospectors you find near rivers streams and lakes
I have a way you can get the Seal Brown as early as chapter two. Go to Beechers Hope in Black water. Run into the shack and get ready for battle. Groups of bounty men will come. An one of them will be riding the Seal Brown. Once the area is clear go for the horse. Once you have it run like hell to the other side. Bounty will be 300 so if you want to do this method be wary of that.
biscuit the Silver dapple who can be found alive sometimes is the number 1 horse in the game because its as brave as it is fast! when you take the owner home she tells stories of being defended by biscuit, so the random personality generator will always make it brave and not all fox trotters i had the gold one and she was half the horse even though the stats are the same also i got a really brave Grullo Dun Mustang but then my Andalusian normally my favourite horse was so nervous it would buck me immediately which is strange because i know its one of the bravest in the game. Then personality generator has made the horses stats arbitrary, for example even the most nervous war horse should be braver than a race horse but its clearly not the case i think its possible for your bravest horse to be a Morgan even worse an Arabian which is ridiculous so the personality generator has not ruined the game but it could have been so much better. But are these things we should accept when the game took 8 years to make or should we ask for a bumper update to fix the brave Arabians and cowardly war horses
There should be legit ways to get the Foxtrotter early game on second play through. Getting the hidden treasures and buy it in Blackwater. I tried "gliching" it, but it took my whole gaming session and I lost emersion and stopped playing. I'm tired of R*. They gotta start prioritizing fun.
I'm like you, I've become emotionally attached to this horses. I feel guilty when I trade them out. Not an Arabian fan and I very much wanted to try a grullo dun mustang. Short story, I was broke and came across Maximo the world famous explorer. Meant to rob him of his treasure map, but ended up killing him. He had a blue roan nakota...I took as well. I'd never had a nakota before. I felt pretty good. I bonded and was leaving, guess what I ran into? The mustang! Needless to say, I'm still riding her, named her Sally
Yeah. Even though I could get far better horses right now I don't want to leave my mustang. He was the first horse I tamed so it feels more personal than some random bought one
I bought the Missouri Foxtrotter who I’ve called Pegasus from Scarlett Meadow for $700 something after my other horse an American Standardbred called Artemis was killed by Lemoyne Raiders at Catfish damn their eyes!! NPCs are always complimenting Pegasus which is cool😀
@@nickpednekar5312 I am au fait with the various tonics and potions but Artemis had vanished with just the saddle left as JM had been killed too when they bushwhacked him with a Gatling gun on a wagon. Could have reloaded a previous save if I was desperate to keep Artemis.
Don't recommend trying to get the MFT unless you own the disc version.. Rockstar pacthed most of the glitched. It will take you hours and the horse looks pretty guffy anyway.
I wish there were more stable slots. I have a red roan ardennes, grullo dun mustang, blood bay thoroughbred, dapple gray Hungarian halfbred and I have the white roan nokota from that old man you can race as a secondary horse. I saw him hit the horse, tied him up and threw him over a cliff. I still find more horses I want.
My top ten 1 Silver Dapple Pinto 2 Dapple Black Thoroughbred 3 Perlino Andalusian 4 Chocolate Roan Dutch Warmblood 5 Iron Gray Ardennes 6 Few Spot Appaloosa 7 Wild Bay/grullo Dun Mustang 8 Leopard blanket Appaloosa 9 Dapple Gray Hungarian Halfbred 10 Mahogany Bay Tennesse Walker Why? Because these are the best horses you can get in chapter two. So you can ride them and still avoid TB and Micah. (also I'm not a fan of the Arabians, think they are overrated considering how skiddish they can be)
MFT is the worst horse u can get for exploring and hunting i know he is fast and all, but once he falls u need to revive him not like the other horses which they get up and keeps going ..
Rose bay Dutch Warmblood in the Valentine Stable ?? I've never heard or seen that horse , are u sure u didn't mean the Chocolate Roan ? Or Brown seal since those are the only ones available in stables , and then of course Buell .
I really enjoyed this and was surprised to see that my two favourites made your list! My main mission horse is the sooty buckskin Dutch Warmblood because I love his beautiful coat and he feels a good size for Arthur. My exploring horse is the white roan Nokota from the bad tempered racer. I didn’t expect to enjoy her as much as I do but love how compact she is. I use her when I feel like my main horse maybe needs a break or just fancy swapping for a bit. I know he’s popular with a lot of people, but I feel weird about using the mahogany bay starter horse since surely he must have belonged to Jake Adler if Sadie has Bob? I’m pretty sure she wouldn’t mind seeing him used for good deeds, but my Arthur isn’t always a good guy so it feels... wrong? As someone else said, I’d love to see a list of your favourite gang horses at some point too :)
yes i wonder about the mahogany bay, but i like to think it was an o'driscoll horse and not one of sadie's. i think it would break her heart to see arthur riding jake's horse. really glad you saw this, and i'll get a gang horse video up next week, thanks for watching!
The Tennessee Walker in Sadie's barn belong to one of the O'Driscolls. If you do camp conversations in Chapter 1, Arthur will mention the horse to Sadie saying she can have it back, but she tells him he can kill it for all she cares as it belonged to an O'Driscoll (presumably the one you beat up in the barn).
Hungarian Halfbred, and Ardennes wasn't even in the real wild west (except maybe in a private collection) and same with Turkoman. The turk was extinct in 1899. So nah I never use those horses. Give me Appaloosa's, nokota's, mustang, paints, and in the start that free American standardbred that kicks his owner death
@@rk800prototype5 Yeah I forgot that one. The only way is a rich dude that had one in a private collection. (Well except the extinct Turkoman). Couldn't they stick with horsebreeds that were common in the Wild West. The quarter horse isn't even in the game...😔

Blanket appaloosa all the way. That horse is underrated asf.
A lot of players do not realize that your starting horse in the game is a one-of-kind horse. It cannot be replaced, and therefore you should stable it if you're not riding it.

@Hi I don’t know anymore lazy boah
@@dajolaw Whaaat? Then how was the horse in the stable before the O'Driscolls ever attacked Sadie and Jake?
I wish that u could stable an unlimited number of horses in a corral somewhere. Or maybe u could just have them all run free around the map and call them whenever you need them.
I’m not sure about them running free, but maybe you could have a corral at camp. Like it could be a camp upgrade.

You should be able to keep more horses at Johns ranch when you beat the game
@@ninatiu9698 yeah i agree with you, this makes sense since he had a literal farm.
The blood bay thoroughbred suits Arthur a lot, and is similar to rachel

My main is a blood bay thoroughbred named Amaretto. The way the blood bay coat shines in almost any light along with their impressive size is amazing.
My first horse was the American Standardbread which you can buy in Valentine during the Hosea mission. I loved it. Unfortunately it died in a gun fight and I never had such a strong connection to a horse again. Since this happened I played with the Arabian or the Dutch Warmblood.

I found the silver pinto FT Yesterday with one of the bounty hunters, I was excited, but I did not survive the battle
How many Bounty Hunters were there? Were you In New Austin?
Beat Dutch in the Chapter 3 race against The Count.
the appaloosa as a breed is very under-rated in this game, so i'm glad you found this fine horse:)
I beat Dutch with a Tennessee walker....

My friend jumped off a bridge with my starter horse.(The Tennessee walker) He died instantly. R.I.P

You were never "safer" in the saddle anyhow, my friend.
good strategy however the cougar will always circle around and let you get back on your feet, if your horse throws you. she'll give you a couple seconds to find her and aim. quite sporting of her, when you think about it:)

hi dimitry the dark bay turk is a fine horse, thanks for watching!
I know you put this here awhile back, but those are some of my favorites too. The black standardbred is great as well. ☺
Wait I got lucky finding the fox horse?? Damn when I first saw it I was like holy shit that horse is a beauty. Glad I was lucky
The Mahogany Bay Tennessee Walker Horse Is My Favorite Horse Besides The Count How Is Dutch's Horse
I'm playing on 1.00 and got the game a while ago but never fully sat down and played it I have the disc version and did the gold bar glitch, also knew I have access to an old glitch at Saint denis where you get random horses which would you recommend if I find a certain breed I've found a rare tiger mustang,
Edit: Btw sorry for distributing you at this hour because I live in a different time zone rn your channel got me addicted to this game, I love it's great
I wanna fill my stable with the good horses get more gold then update
i would stay on version 1 as long as you can, friend:) you will miss all those glitches when you update.
The only thing that could make this game better; us getting to stable up to 8 horses.
You have the silver dapple pinto Missouri Fox Trotter? GRATS! It's tough to get it on Arthur and everyone needs this beauty.
I just don't feel right on the smaller horses.
The Arabian, Nakota, Appaloosas, etc just seem Too Small for Arthur.
I've been sticking with the Thoroughbreds, Standardbred and Halfbred
I got my silver dapple missouri fox trotter when bringing in benedict allbright, i used it to follow him down the river and i kept it
Haha, that's actually a dark Dapple Grey Hungarian Halfbred.
I found the Silver Dapple Pinto Missouri Fox Trotter in chapter two it was just dumb luck when I found her.
that’s a fine horse, thanks for watching!
I can now name my top 10 Horses.
Number 10: Tiger Striped Bay Mustang.
Number 9: Strawberry Roan Ardenne.
Number 8: Leopard Appaloosa.
Number 7: Rose Grey Bay Arabian.
Number 6: Reversed Dapple Black Throughbred.
Number 5: Raven Black Shire.
Number 4: Dark Bay Turkoman.
Number 3: Silver Dapple Pinto Missouri Fox Trotter.
Number 2: Buell.
Number 1: Perlino Andalusian.
a great list, very well thought out with hard choices. the tiger mustang & buell are on john's top 10 (which i'm currently working on)
Red chestnut best lookin horse hands down
As Arthur I only go for a thoroughbred because no point in spending big bucks for a horse that's gonna die
could you please explain how can I find that Dutch warm blood?
No Buell? And I find Appaloosa’s a great fit for Arthur, especially the few spotted, they are also the first breed you ride like Taima.
biscuit the Silver dapple who can be found alive sometimes is the number 1 horse in the game because its as brave as it is fast! when you take the owner home she tells stories of being defended by biscuit, so the random personality generator will always make it brave and not all fox trotters i had the gold one and she was half the horse even though the stats are the same also i got a really brave Grullo Dun Mustang but then my Andalusian normally my favourite horse was so nervous it would buck me immediately which is strange because i know its one of the bravest in the game.
They gotta start prioritizing fun.
use albert manson method
My favortie horses are trurkmene, mustang, arabian, andalusan, hungarian half bred, kentucky saddler, tennessee walker mahogany bay. That's all.
There is something called horse reviver
@@nickpednekar5312 I am au fait with the various tonics and potions but Artemis had vanished with just the saddle left as JM had been killed too when they bushwhacked him with a Gatling gun on a wagon. Could have reloaded a previous save if I was desperate to keep Artemis.
Don't recommend trying to get the MFT unless you own the disc version.. Rockstar pacthed most of the glitched. It will take you hours and the horse looks pretty guffy anyway.
i love the dutch warmblood so much
I wish there were more stable slots. I have a red roan ardennes, grullo dun mustang, blood bay thoroughbred, dapple gray Hungarian halfbred and I have the white roan nokota from that old man you can race as a secondary horse. I saw him hit the horse, tied him up and threw him over a cliff. I still find more horses I want.
that's probably the best scenario i've heard, thanks for watching, jordan!
Bahahaha. That made me laugh. I fed the guy to an alligator last play thru 🤭
I got my Biscuit at Face Rock about a week ago lol 🙌🏼🙌🏼 finally lol
My top ten
1 Silver Dapple Pinto
2 Dapple Black Thoroughbred
3 Perlino Andalusian
4 Chocolate Roan Dutch Warmblood
5 Iron Gray Ardennes
6 Few Spot Appaloosa
7 Wild Bay/grullo Dun Mustang
8 Leopard blanket Appaloosa
9 Dapple Gray Hungarian Halfbred
10 Mahogany Bay Tennesse Walker
Why? Because these are the best horses you can get in chapter two. So you can ride them and still avoid TB and Micah. (also I'm not a fan of the Arabians, think they are overrated considering how skiddish they can be)
that's a great list, i also like to free roam in ch 2 & i film most of my videos there. thanks for watching, friend!
MFT is the worst horse u can get for exploring and hunting i know he is fast and all, but once he falls u need to revive him not like the other horses which they get up and keeps going ..
Is the reverse dapple black thoroughbred a good horse I’m about to do the Hosea mission and am thinking about picking it up
one of my favorites but if you get him you won't be able to sell him so you'll only have 3 slots for your game
For Arthur I sways end up with a mustang or an American paint because they are both great for hunting and outrunning the law 😂
@@danl2136 that's good to know but i hate thinking about what sadie went through at her cabin before arthur got there
Same here. I rode with a sooty buckskin DM and I named him Mudskin because of how he looked like.
Best looking horse imo is Buell, he is a GOLD horse and has very agreeable stats
Ikr, same with the Dutch Warmblood...it wasn't until the 1960s when they were common in the U.S. as far as I know
@@rk800prototype5 Yeah I forgot that one. The only way is a rich dude that had one in a private collection. (Well except the extinct Turkoman). Couldn't they stick with horsebreeds that were common in the Wild West. The quarter horse isn't even in the game...😔
I would not trust riding a horse that kicked his former owner to death.
Also what do you prefer reverse dapple roan Nokota or brindle throughbred
easy, the brindle has the size, speed and strength. also a great hunter. the nokota has a speed advantage but i like a bigger horse for arthur, thanks for watching!
Thank you
