great video, i'm curious, i thought they dont allow taking seaglass at glass beach? were planning an rv trip along the coast and want to avoid the areas where you cant take seaglass
You can definitely collect sea glass at this beach near Port Townsend, WA. You may be thinking about Fort Bragg in CA which I've heard has restrictions in certain areas.
Most of my sea glass videos are out on Glass Beach in the Port Townsend, WA area. Go up to the North Beach parking lot in the northern part of Port Townsend and hike out due west toward McCurdy Point. Go around the point and you will be on Glass Beach. It was the site of the old town dump up until the 1960s. Now as you look at the beach you will see tiny bits of sea glass. I you go early in the year you will find more turned up by the winter tides and storms. Go down the beach about a 1/4 mile to find the better pieces. Always consult a tide app for your smart phone and avoid being out there when the tides exceed 7.5 feet. The higher waves will cover the narrow beach on your way out there which will make the hike very difficult as you will be forced up onto the sandy cliff. I hope this helps.
