Thanks for your videos. One of my prized possessions is a hand carved toy dugout canoe about two foot long, found beachcombing Cape Tribulation year 1964. In those days the beach was clear of any plastic stuff - paradise. Cheers
I've never made it to Australia but I did spend two weeks on the Tongan island's. I watched those amazing sunsets every night. Although I've been all over this rock, they were the most beautiful sunsets that I have ever had the fortune of watching.
That engine looks like a V12 That long shaft most probably means the aircraft it was out of P39 AirCobra or P63 Super AirCobra The engine was behind the pilot with a long driveshaft (that you saw) gearbox and propellor (which you found) Both WW2 fighter planes used in the pacific theatre
The outrigger is a neat find and pumice stone by the ton Wow I have never seen so much pumice stone. It is nice scenery as well . Thanks for taking us along for a look at your backyard Mate really nice views. Cheers Mate👍👍👍😎💨🏴☠☮☮🌈💡
Recently discovered your channel, very much enjoy watching, all the interesting things you find and see! Love your dog, especially when you were digging out the outrigger, loving being a dog! Thank you for sharing! - Colorado USA
at first I wondered why you didn't collet the all the buoys then I realised how many there are.... put them all together and you could float the Titanic... lol... some of the items I wish I knew what they were or are.... an explanation from you would be wonderful, if you know what they are.
,@@obsessedbeachcomber In another video of yours, I saw it, and one of your dogs sees it and gets scared, I commented to you, it's the one you pass next to a shark. greetings
At 11.53 there was an interesting orange container. Why didn’t you open it ? I would like to see you investigate more interesting items that sometimes you pass by. Also, can you improve the sound quality as sometimes it is difficult to hear/understand you. Your beachcombing is excellent, thank you.
Most of this junk looks to be from international vessels, maybe I'm wrong, I get so upset seeing our waterways and beaches destroyed with all this waste. 🇦🇺😲
I would take at least one or two bags of plastic trash home with me to dispose on each trip. The damage done by plastics that break up into micro plastics does immense damage to the oceans.
And do what with it? The first deserted island I was on was covered. I started picking it up but realized I couldn't ever pack it all. This is literally every beach that doesn't have a cleanup crew keeping it nice for tourists. Go get it yourself and then stick it in a dump or attempt recycling it which won't work because it's degraded. It all goes somewhere, just because you can't see it doesn't make it better.
He does take one bag of trash with him each trip.. He just doesn’t show that because he is not a cleanup crew.. He does what he can carry back to his boat.. As far as I can tell, these islands are uninhabited..
nice score on that canoe, maybe you can get with the local university and see exactly what tribe made this canoe, it very well may have historical significance no? do you think its more modern, within the last 150 years or is it all hand tied, no metal, nails so forth, I didn't get a good enough look at it, wouldn't it be something if its 10,000 years old,not indigenous to this continent... DOH!!!! it does look like a small strike vessel, made to hit larger boats do damage say light a fire whatever then make way? yes they warred back then too, steel my walrus tusk will ya!
Dude a commercial on all of your videos is super loud!!!!!! like 5 times louder then in your videos sound!! It's no good for everyone. ( it's some senior citizen shit)
Australian Airacobra from WWII. Mid engine fighter. The propellor shaft is running under the cockpit and out to the nose.
Nose tire is just under the drive shaft: round black thing. Amazing find.
Had to watch it twice but i believe you are correct…..amazing piece of beach litter!👍👍
You are right about it being an Aerocobra. Known as a P-39 to us Yanks.
Hey! One has been missing since the war! Look it up!
The whole airplane may actually be there - buried in time. That’s a pretty amazing find. Good on you mate!

Always good to watch beachcomber. From New York
at first I wondered why you didn't collet the all the buoys then I realised how many there are.... put them all together and you could float the Titanic... lol... some of the items I wish I knew what they were or are.... an explanation from you would be wonderful, if you know what they are.

Watching your video again and I noticed that you have no shoes on Having fun from Highland falls New York
Never had to wear shoes just the way I like it
My ol man (rip) woulda said that water was “flat as a sh!t carters hat!” 😜😂😂
Looks like you found a p39 or p63 fighter
What is the object you find at 10:52?
Thanks for your videos from a beachcomber at the other end of the Earth!
Huge lump of melted plastic
That wooden boat from Pacific island I think
I need to get back up there to dig out and ID an inverted Airacobra just off the beach. Pilot Robert R Love USAAC. Those up the Cape US machines.
All that plastic garbage is so distressing!! Wish I could pick it all up. Thanks for your videos.
Wow
Do you pick up the plastic garbage on the beach?
Cool P-39 airplane.
looks like fun
if they would burn that plastic would that be better or worser for the envirement than let it leave like that?
Bushfires do burn a lot of the plastic some years
@@obsessedbeachcomberbut not on the beach.
Are you around the Holme Islands?
Yes i go to the home islands was there for this content
i wonder if the two lights tied together have been used as squid lures ?
Don't know a lot about squid may be
That blue rock, as you passed the airplane lookin thing, could be a big$ find,go back and get that
Just a piece of plastic
hey mate, 12:32 if I see correctly, is it the trail of a big boar? Greetings from Patagonia Argentina
If it was i didn't see it, but wouldn't be the first time I've walk almost in to one. One way to get the heart pumping.

Fuel tank
Fuel tank
I'd contact the war memorial about that airacobra. You will probably find the mission it was lost and pilots name. It could have big significance.
And provide some closure to the family.
As far as i no thirty run out of fuel on the same mission to new guinea
Wow, was that a P39 Airacobra plane? -Judging by the looong shaft...
Yes i think your right, As far as i no thirty run out of fuel on the same day after a bombing mission.
@@obsessedbeachcomber That's quite a piece of history all right! BTW that nose landing wheel could still have some value...
Wondering how old the canoe is
I would say no more than 5 years.
Looks like it will be a challenge for some because of the flys. Maybe that's a good thing. Keep people away
Yes and these flys bite, Sting like a wasp
is this in the torres strait?
Not quite, down a bit on the east coast
I get the amber but what's the black stuff ??
Jet ??
Here I am lying on the lounge watching UA-cam.
The missus and I need to go somewhere great.
Ambergris

the rule is... if you touch it's yours and you need to take with you! Just saying....
What's the object at 9:30?
Airplane well what's left of it
Holy hell barefoot, a pristine beach maybe but not with all that shit laying around. 😳
Doesn't anyone pick up the pollution, or just walk on by.😢
Its hard too see how dirty the beach ! So many scrap und Plastic ! Wer ist he beach ?

I would take at least one or two bags of plastic trash home with me to dispose on each trip. The damage done by plastics that break up into micro plastics does immense damage to the oceans.
If you going to pick up valuable and unique items on the beach pick up the plastic and debris to help clean them.
And do what with it? The first deserted island I was on was covered. I started picking it up but realized I couldn't ever pack it all. So sad to see all the plastic on the beaches , this planet is doomed
All of that disgusting liter all over the place really saddens me , not the artifacts
That dog panting noise is annoying. Where is that beach??
So lovely of you to leave garbage on the beach. Smh.
