Instead what happened was he made an incomplete contact and the new personality Grahf was born, and he was born taking on Lacan's desire to seek power as his driving goal.
3:53 No, he still had a physical form. He stayed in Lacan's body for 11 years before Lacan died for some reason unknown which forced Grahf to body jump for the first time. This is why the Contact's spirit was then able to return to the cycle of reincarnation, because Lacan finally died at 35.

"You might think I've run out of ideas posting a game from 1998" correction, Xenogears came out in 1998 and in some ways IT still hasn't run out of ideas.
How the heck did you make the footage look so good for Xenogears and the other games? What mods did you use? Is there secretly some Xenogears fan-made HD 60 FPS port I'm not aware of? The Xenoblade 3 and Xenosaga 3 footage looks super clean as well. How the heck did you accomplish that?
Firstly, I have a beastly PC so I'm able to run the games at High Settings. For Xenogears, I found a Texture Replacement pack which upgrades everything to 1080p and ran the game at 4K (Native Frame rate) with a 16:9 patch on emulator. Then it was just recording settings
Xenosaga EP.III was pretty much the same, just higher quality textures, running the game at a higher resolution and some settings tweaking in the Emulator.
As for Xenoblade 3, thats just the game recorded from switch onto an Elgato HD60 (Not even a new one)... I think. I admiteddly can run the emulated version of it at 4k 60fps which I use alongside the free camera mod BUT I can't remember recording or using much footage from that yet
Played through the game 3 times. Read tons of material and watched hour long vidoes that still missed stuff... this game was to massive. Pretty good summary in the little amount of time haha.

According to my Xenogears expert @nyrelia, you are absolutely correct 👍 I took my information from the Wiki which stated that she was simply the 999th and didn't disclose this extra information so thanks for enlightening me 😊

as one of the biggest Xenogears nerds of all time i saw your video and said, there’s no way he can cover everything you need to know in 13 minutes…and i was right. you covered some big broad strokes and some of the more confusing elements but didn’t touch on any of the characters aside from elly and fei, didn’t touch on the anima and animus, didn’t go into the centuries long war, missed out on civilizations being wiped out by miang specifically because they’re flawed, how Deus is a false god that can’t create the angels you briefly mentioned thus required intervention by Krelian or none of it would have succeeded, the imagery of the one wing angels needing to rely on each other to fly and how in the end Krelian has 2 wings because he’s transcended despite his horrible actions. but again good job for the short format of this video
As I explained to something else before, this video is meant to be for those who are interested in Xenoblade and want to understand the Nuances from this game in the modern titles, thus I mostly only explained the necessary points that is essential for people to remember. Indeed covering the entire game would take far to much work and would end up being much longer with probably less of a comparison to the newer titles

4:18 That is actually the wrong name for it. It used to be called multiple personality disorder but It was renamed to dissociative identity disorder instead. Xenogears uses the term that was around when it was made but dissociative identity disorder is the more correct modern name for it.
When I was writing this videos script (Initially think that it was called "Multiple Personality Disorder"), I asked around to see who knew what "Dissociative Identity Disorder" was and most people weren't aware that the name had changed so for the sake of this video where LOTS of confusing topics are discussed, I tried to keep it simple 😂

But there’s so much more to cover-like the history of Solaris, Emperor Cain’s shift from puppet of Miang/Deus to an advocate of humanity, Emeralda (and her parallels to MOMO)… there’s just so much packed into the two discs of the original game, even without referencing Perfect Works!
