Its amazing that this game is 20 years old and people are still talking about it.
I was 10 when i played this and it truly changed my life as far as the way i think about it. Replayed it several times and was able to draw out something new each time as i matured. Amazing game. Wish i was a multi-millionaire so i could solely fund a remake.
@@jblpn7591 you would have to buy the rights from square I'm sure people have tried to already.
@@jblpn7591 omg bro same thought, If I were a millionaire, I would give it all just for this game to become an anime or atleast get the remake and ending it deserves
@@edhernandez4344 i've thought this same thing as well. that's a touch disturbing, tbh :D
still, this game means a lot to me, and i would give back to see it reach it's final form
Let's talk about it.
She is not EVIL for evil sake.
She's basically a program, and she's doing her job. She's a mechanic, and her job is to repair a busted up car. The "discomfort" a screwdriver might feel it's obviously inconsequential to her. You are a tool, do your job. If you are useless, she just takes another tool.
I'm pretty sure she learned hot to emulate emotions and be manipulative exclusively out of need.
I would say she's somewhat sadistic to force a young child to develop DID and not be the least bit concerned about it, programmed or not.
@@squallofthedaisadistic or ignorant of pain of loss. nothing is destroyed enough to not be useful for Deus
That makes it all the more terrifying
Something cold, uncalculated, unfeeling. Sowing chaos and despair simply for the purpose of self-repair
In regards to both Miang and Deus, we are merely tools to an end
It's horrifying.
The comic anthology has given her some sympathetic side.
Miang dies
Miang- Oh no... so anyway
🤣🤣🤣
You can write academic thesis papers on this game. Greatest story ever devised.
I think the scariest thing is that Miang is one the few villains that actually succeeded in what she aimed to do, really the one that fucked up everything is ironically Deus himself. Miang would probably be even more terrifying if she was working alone considering what she’s capable of.
For all intents and purposes, Miang IS Deus pretty much. She's the extension of its will, giving comprehension to the incomprehensible.
Miang and Deus are not meaningfully distinct characters. Deus is just the name for a system, of which Elehayym is an unintended component, and Miang/Myyah is a resulting manifestation. In a way, it almost seems like a mistake to even ascribe a proper character to Deus or Miang, if not for evidence in the plot that Deus does have some very primitive will or survival instinct of its own that caused it to run rampant at the beginning of the game - though even that can be chalked up to its programming.
Miang only gives the illusion of being more competent because she managed to subsist for nearly 10,000 years relatively unimpeded, toppling several civilizations in the process... but the flipside of that is that she spent 10,000 years barely achieving any progress towards her goal. The reality is, Miang was constantly bungling, facing mishaps like the genetic abnormalities of Zeboim, Lacan failing as a Contact, torturing Fei not actually working to awaken him as a Contact, and otherwise dying across the ages. In fact, I'd even go as far as to say that, while her prior actions allowed for these opportunities to arise to a certain extent, the main reason Deus was able to come together in the final act of the game was because she was lucky enough to secure Grahf and Krelian as dubious allies... but Grahf is also a big reason Deus was destroyed in the end.
She has a very telling exchange right before Deus is about to fully awaken. Citan asks Miang what the purpose behind taking a particular action is, and she answers "who knows?" "Miang" isn't really a person. It's an aggregation of memories and impulses acting within certain pre-established parameters to achieve the goal of reviving Deus. It doesn't question its motives or the actions it takes to get there except insofar as they fail to achieve the desired result. Miang has been bashing its head against a wall trying to reach that result for ten millennia, and when she finally gets there, in real sense, Deus just keeps on defaulting to its programming, bashing its head against the wall... except now its strong enough the wall just topples over.
It was mentioned in Perfect Works too, that Myyah had 'reset' humanity 2 times before Zeboim. There's a second purpose to this.
The humans related closest to the original humans have a much higher Anima Alignment. They are able to use Phenomenon Phase Shift (Ether) much better than others. By resetting man, and allowing those with Higher Ether Response to survive, the humans have a higher concentration of Anima, making them more fit for System Deus.
(Sorry for the text wall)
It seems like you're enjoyed Xenogears Luxin. I'm happy for you! Also, I'm like 99.9% sure everything you said was correct. Nice job.
How long have you been into Xenogears?
I ask because I was an admin on a large XG fansite way back when and people who talk about Perfect Works and deep concepts in the game 20 years after its release, I tend to wonder if they were there back then
NPC #102117 not too long, maybe 5ish years. Once I discovered it’s existence, I’ve practically been entirely obsessed with it. (Also what site do you refer to?)
@@willbill6942 zenosaga.com, which was also the-ethos.org at one time too. This was like 15 or more years ago though. We had full illustrated PDFs translations of perfect works
How well-translated is Perfect Works into English? I want to know whether to read it now or upon mastering Japanese.
@@KM-je6bf Ah, translations of Perfect Works, you say? Do go on.
One of the coolest things about Miang is that she's positioned as a subordinate for the early portions of the game. It becomes increasingly more apparent that she's something more nefarious without too much overt/on-the-nose foreshadowing (which the game is quite guilty of). Great video!
Her infinite heals are OP
The Body-snatcher part of Miang is so unnerving. I fucking lost it when a certain thing near the end happened.
No need to hide spoilers decades later
Accidentally coming across a photo of Miang in the Zeboim archives while just randomly exploring was one of the most chilling experiences I'd ever had in a game. Even without a wall of text explaining what I was looking at I'd have pieced it together on my own just from the image itself, and the implications were terrifying.
Yo when you find that thousands old photo of Miang in that ghost town where Emeralda was created....that's when I knew something freaky was afoot with her.
That was such an intense moment
Myahh is basically an evil Alvis, an immortal AI manipulating the world for their own ends. The only real difference is that Myahh exists to serve her creator, while Alvis' priority is the universe itself and his goal is to boot the current mods for a new one so that the universe can stop stagnating.
And now we got evil Alvis, wow
Alpha even looks like Deus
Alvis? Or is that you… chaos?
How any woman has it in their DNA potential to become Miang reminds me of how every bee has the DNA potential to become Queen. Although it's not unlocked randomly, but rather through communal selection.
That's fascinating! So even male bee can turn into a queen bee?
I wouldn't say she is evil for evil's sake. It's more her agenda is intolerable to everybody except her and Deus, but all of her actions are for the sake of Deus, a cause she sincerely believes in and considers good. It's a difference of perspectives, and hers happens to be objectively bad for all but two, but because she is essentially a human computer program, she cannot reconsider her goal or care that it is bad... and if she could she would become a tragic character forced to watch the atrocities.
Good video. The villains in Xenogears all really stand out to me and I like how they often have conflicting goals and will work to try and stab each other in the back. I hadn't really thought of Miang as being the main antagonist before, but this video has definitely convinced me otherwise.
To this day I still make purple haired assassin characters in games named Miang.
If you think Miang is scary, read Childhood's End - a book with some massive inspirations for Xenogears plot. The main villain (if you wanna call it that) is even scarier, both as a concept and as a character.
I suppose it also inspired Evangelion
Spoilers for Childhoods End:
The book doesn’t frame the Oversoul as a villain, but as far as humanity is concerned, it absolutely is a villain. There is no humanity at the end. (In any meaningful form that is.) Whatever is left is consumed like an amoeba by the Oversoul.
Miang really is. after you learn everything about her.
When I described Miang I would just say Whitney Houston's I'm Every Woman.
She is essentially Jenova + Parasite Eve but...scarrier
right.....
Eve kinda jenova would be deus if anything she would be seppiroth.
Lavos = Deus = Jenova = Mitochondria Eve = Sorceresses of FF8
The Ouraborus Gene as a concept is in Parasite Eve, FF7 with Jenova, and FF8 with the Sorceress. Square recycled alot of their own ideas from various pitches; Xenogears, FF7s early plots, and Parasite Eve were all conceived as sequels to Chrono Trigger.
There's traces of Xenogears early drafts and dropped plotlines integrated into what would become Chrono Cross.
Not saying that the concepts are all the exact same, but you can clearly see traces of the same pitches and ideas throughout most of the major late 90s/early 2000s Square games.
@@punishedbrak4255 True. One of things I heard about FF7 is how, for whatever reason, the game was said to be set in NYC (or some place like it) and the main protagonist was going to be some kind of detective. Obviously this didn't happen in that game, but it essentially would in Parasite Eve.
I was shook when she said she’s the mother of all humans
It is explained by Lacan that Miang isn't just it's mouthpiece she is also it's main body she in a sense is Deus.
20:43 Or, if you're a female watching this video (or playing Xenogears), what if you yourself get rewritten as her and thus erased from existence? Talk about horrifying!
I'm a bit surprised he didn't mention this himself, but I imagine we aren't a large demographic in his viewerbase, so forgive and forget.
Haha...girls don't play jrpgs silly
meh, it's like a girl watching the movie aliens, if you think about it too much.......it might suck
it's best to keep a confortable distance from movies/games, imo
It is a scary, scary thought.
In the Xenogears Universe, Miang or in the essence "The Mother" is in all females. Thus any woman in the Xeno universe can become Miang with purple hair..
Well, if Miang inhabits you, you don't exactly get erased. She just takes the stage. You're still in there. When Miang took over Fei's mother Karen, she remained on stage until Fei was in mortal danger. It was at that point that Karen's will took over and she flung herself in the way of the energy blast about to consume Fei. Karen died and Miang was forced to migrate to another host, "awakening" in some other human female in the world.
Same with Elly. Elly was taken over by Miang, but Elly was still in there. It took Fei taking on Ouroboros (Miang's true awakened form) in order to destroy Miang once and for all. Once the dust settled, Elly was alive and well, and Fei got the girl in the end. :)
I was so much younger when I played Xenogears, but also remember Miang being terrifying. Awesome video... always love to see coverage of my favorite game. Still long to see a continuation or other chapters of the series.
You know the game is a masterpiece when even after a few playthroughs you can't tell who is the main villain ;)
Miang, Krellian, and Grahf. With Miang being the worst, as the other 2 were twisted via miang's machinations...
YAY XENOGEARS CONTENT!
Man, I love this game's story so much
This was a great watch. I am on my 3rd playthrough , first in 1998, second in 2013, currently 2022. By the way, you have good comedic tone.
Correction: Abel made contact with the Wave Existence (WE) in Zohar. WE sensed Abel's need for his mother thus creating Elhaym inside of Kadomony's Life Assembler plant. Although Zohar and Kad were one at the time, it was contact with the WE that gave rise to Elly.
But...Abel was a kid when that happened, so he walked into the Zohar room when he was a passenger in the Eldridge as a kid? I think the game doesn't say that
@@Fermin-hw5pd Correct. The Xenogears Perfect Works book explained that part. The game left it wide open on how Abel made contact.
I wonder if there were any incarnations strong enough to perform what Fei's mother did. When Fei was in the face of certain danger, Karin's maternal instinct was so strong, she overrode her "Miang" programming in order to sacrifice herself and save Fei's life. Were there any other women strong enough to overcome this persona? I wonder.
She didn't override anything. In the face of certain death, Miang had already left Karin's body, which left her free to protect Fei.
Could you imagine if this game got a full on 3D remake, with a complete 2nd part and better gameplay? The most emotional moments will feel all the more real...
@DarkSonic180 No. The game exists as it is. If was made today with modern CGI, makers would give it a cinematic vibe and would be a reimagination to make it work instead an exact copy. I think it would be great too as long they could fit all the elements coherently.
@Darkstar Mobile in my first play I hated the excessive amount of battles but later on in the game, I would have trouble fighting bosses.
So in my second play I actually tried to get as much battles as possible to unlock all deathblows and get more hp and the bosses were much easier to beat
@DarkSonic180 FF7s remake fighting system would be perfect for a xenogears remake.
Or a manga that captivates all the emotional moments of the story
The game needs higher resolution sprites, a new translation, and cleaner 3D models. Let’s be real, a lot of the 3D work was janky as hell.
Them redoing disc 2 would be a pipe dream, but great if it ever came to pass.
Man, good analysis of Miang's character and what she did throughout the story. Really want that Xenogears remake or a sequel maybe. One game for each part and remake part 5.
I find that Miang, Wilhelm, Malos and maybe Alvis, to be similar
in terms of beings, who are created to follow a certain objective
I guess you can say their not evil, just programmed that way...
Malos was corrupted though.
@@azazel166 Nah, he was "programmed" that way, he was born like that
So basically, Miang is like Agent Smith? 🤔
Kind of even before the movie Matrix was made.
Kind of, but she has no control over which body she takes.
When she dies, she simply re-emerges in another woman's body.
Miang is my favorite antagonist in any RPG ever.
I would explain why but I’ll be here forever.
MIAMI
Val oops...lol
Xeno Best X thats why i love xenogears, explaining it results in an essay cos of the ambitious, complex, deep as fuck story🤤🙌🏾
@@neonblackbeast7243 I find it hilarious that you finished an unironic comment that contains the words "complex" and "deep" with freaking emojis
Jack Garcia i don’t understand 😅 is that good or bad
I think it's worth pointing out that besides ushering humanity into suitable biological material to recreate Deus's body, she also wanted to find the Anima Relics that were lost in the crash so the Gazel could align with them but after she saw Lacan, Krellian, and the Fatimas kill 4 of the Gazel in battle and found humans were developing Ether abilities that the Gazel didn't possess she decided there were better candidates that existed to align with the Anima and she turned on the Gazel. Essentially even betrayed and imprisoned with no plan she was able to manipulate events with just a few words at a single opportunistic moment into creating Grahf, Grahf killing the Gazel, and Grahf's false awakening initiating the Diabolos Collapse that reset humanity again according to her wishes.
This is interesting, because I thought about this, for over 20 years, since I first played it, in 1999, back when I was 21.
Thanks.
I would say that with the computer creating Elly and miang it could probably insert genetic information into her cells while she was in what amounted to a womb. Furthermore, the Zohar has access to infinite energy because of its connection to the Wave existence so I could see the Kadomony computer using the Zohar to essentially update genetic information to maintain Miang and to also make sure she is placed in the right person to execute her programming to maximum effect.
i have an idea that takes it one step even further and scarier. i suspect that Miang herself literally IS Deus, as in, she is its will, its conscience, when she speaks or acts, thats Deus. Deus is her REAL body. which means, Deus DOES have a real personality and SHE has been with us the entire time, interfering with and scarring the lives of the main cast.
I learned a lot about Xenogears from this video, thank you
Miang and Kefka are the scariest villains in Square's library. They both succeeded in in destroying the world through manipulation and became supreme beings.
I’d also argue Lyblack from Octopath Traveler who’s plan to free her father, a fallen god, from hell both directly/indirectly causes the heroes individual calls to adventure. She just sits in the background and her story is told through a hidden side quest that connects to all 8 characters
@@IsaandLea except OPT complete botched that storyline - that SHOULD have been the main storyline tying all the characters together but they tacked it on like an afterthought
Miang seems like Wilhelm.
Plz do more of these types of videos, i love xenogears so much it’s probably my favourite game of all time with xenoblade 1 slightly behind
Here we can see OP get dangerously close to getting red-pilled by animu.
"Evil for evil sake" seems inaccurate, or a a blatant oversimplification. There's no doubt in my mind that she's the main antagonist, but her actions are somewhat predetermined. She like everyone else is part of a system. A knowing and willing part of the system, but part of the system no less. She's a program made for the sole purpose of making sure the revival protocol stays within parameters. She's efficient, calculating, self preservationists, and adaptive for the end game of reviving Deus. We as humans see her actions as manipulative, cruel unapologetic, remorseless, genocidal, and yes, evil. But she's following the will of her "creator" and her sense of self. With the resurrection of Deus she can become whole again. Her goals are pure and beautiful in their simplicities. Regardless of how complicated and unfathomable her machinations are too achieve said goal.
I truly love this game because every character is so flushed out and their goals and motivations are put on full display for the players to see.
I’d still say Krelian is the main antagonist of the game. Sure Miang is the one that controls the strings behind the scene but just like the argument you made of how Deus is actually the overarching villain but doesn’t count since he has no personality, I’d argue the same in the case of Miang. She’s basically a programmed vessel. There’s nothing human about her. She has absolutely no morals and no self-driven motives. And while her method involves grand schemes her goal is basically an elaborate repair job, nothing more.
Krelian on the other hand has a convincing reason for his actions broken that he is. He is the true manipulator in how he succeeded in his goals despite being an ordinary human. He’s not the Contact, he’s not part of Deus, he’s a guy who’s had enough and sacrificed his humanity to change the horrible world that he realized he was in. He’s a unique paradox case in which he commits the worst atrocities with “love” as his driving force.
Krelian is an anti-hero like Lacan (Grahf). Krelian worked with Miang to resurrect Deus, but he also worked with Grahf, who intended on destroying Deus. While Krelian had a really messed up POV on things, I always believed he wanted Deus destroyed. I believe he revived Deus, in hopes that either Lacan or Fei are able to destroy it and Miang.
He's essentially a Manichean, except he helped the demiurge
A small correction, his actual name is Karellen, as he is based on the character with the same name from the novel Childhood's End.
Krelian is a misspelling of Karellen.
Hell yeah, more Xenogears!
Keep on making content at a healthy pace according to you!
This was an amazing break down. Really loving your content and all the Xeno-centric stuff. Keep up the awesome work.

Only covering Xenogears?! Impossible! ;)
Meong might be scary but she doesn't have anything on Fei. Fei's darkside (it's been a very long time) woul rip her arms off and beat her to death with them. "You threw a ship at me! Take it back!" The man beats mechs to custard with his bare fists. Further, Fei is straight bipolar and at times he has psychotic breakdowns. These breaks from reality cause him to go on kill crazy rampages that would make most militaries tremble in fear.
McDonald's Drive Thru: "Welcome to McDonald's how may I help you?"
Fei: "You didn't give me the Happy Meal toy that I wanted..." hair starts to change color.
McDonald's Drive Thru: "Well sir, which one did you want?"
Fei: "The one painted with your entrails!"
Many deaths and toppled buildings later...
Military Advisor: "He just murdered the entire police force and he's chucking cars at helicopters...what do we do?!
Fei: "That was a nice nap...whoa, what the Hell happened here?!"
Military Advisor: "Stay back or I'll shoot!"
Fei: "Chill out man, I'm just here to get my neon green Halloween pale from McDonald's."
Military Advisor: "Quick give him any pale he wants!"
Fei: "I don't want the orange one again!" Hair starts to change colors...

Glad I found you dude! Xenogears is my all time favorite game! Chronicles and even Chronicles X are up there too!
My philosophy is that if I don’t recognize the character in the thumbnail, I’m gonna be hearing a lot of new words
I hated Miang so much, but I was constantly wondering where she'd pop up next. She's like Nemesis from RE3, but way more terrifying
So Miang is like the Agents in the Matrix and how they just take over people jumping from body to body after death.
Somewhat, but unlike the Agents, she has no control over which body she will re-emerge from.
Thanks for making so many awesome Xeno videos Luxin! I've seen you mentioned around reddit and twitter sometimes and it makes my heart really happy to see you getting more and more recognition now; always such amazingly interesting and great videos
The 'body snatching part of Miang reminds me of a more terrifying version of 'the prophets' from the Assassins Creed universe. She can just grab someone when her previous host dies, the Prophets is you basically winning the genetic lottery and a personality baked into your dna just overtakes you.
Had not really thought of her as being the big bad before. It is a really cool catch.
*Mind blown*
This game keeps surprising even today.
You're the reason I got into the Xeno series. I started with XBC2 and thought it was a good stand alone game but after coming across your videos I went back and played XBC1 and Xenogears. I plan on playing Xenosaga and X after the release of XBC3 :) Thanks for your content man. You really sold me on this series.

Great video, bro.
Its funny biblically not one of Cains descendants survived the flood. Noah was a descendant of Seth the child born in Adams image. We're all descendent starting from Adam to Seth to Noah whose sons were Ham, Shem, and Japheth who are the four father's of the present humanity. Noah had more children after the flood I'm pretty sure of it but I usually don't here our leaders mentioning it.
shes basically a biological terminator given a single mission
Just like a certain messenger of the Anti-Spirals.
The original Miang is not Miang, its just "System Hawwa" or "The compliment" or "The mother of humanity." Nephelim incarnate as the negative aspect.
Miang is just fulfilling her programming directive lay down by Deus... Though it is very terrifying how she can complete her directive without remorse which always ends with catastrophic results
Yes Miang is crazy done well as a villain.
I’ve played it at least 3 times since I was a kid and I didn’t even know or realize half the shit you said in here. Thank you

Miang is like Grahf if you could possess 50% of the population compared to a family bloodline.
bad or not ... shes still my number 1 fav character in the og game . her alter ego was also awesome to me - i dont know the pragmatic goal driven semi protag villians are my fav
miang could resurrect as an important military officer in shevat and she wouldn't do anything to tip the scales because she only cares about reviving deus
you definitely need to play Suikoden 1 which has a great story and killer soundtrack

Miang makes me think of the scientific theory of Mitochondrial Eve, a female responsible for human cells all having mitochondria as the power center of cells. These are only inherited through the mother and in really rare cases, people are born with mitochondrial diseases, which make them very sick or die as a result.

In game, the explanation for reincarnation of the contact, the antytipe and Miang, is that the Zohar has the power to manipulate possibility, making anything posible. So ingame, the reincarnation is like in real life, imposible, but the Zohar alters such possibility. So Deus, tapping into the Zohar, can make a being like Miang, that is present everywhere and appears as needed, with no regards for what is physically posible.
This game needs a remaster
We need a remake.
Xenogears predicted modern women 20 years ago.
Awww an incel
Miang b scar-eee, confirmed!
About the X-chromosome linked diseases, though... Typically, this is used for medical conditions caused by a non-functioning or less-than-fully functioning allele that is not countered by a functioning allele being present on a paired X sex chromosome. In a nutshell, X-chromosome linked diseases practically only affect men (or any variation of sex chromosomes with only one X chromosome). For an X-linked disease to affect women, both X chromosomes need to have alleles with the same relative functionality, which is - to put it mildly - unlikely to happen IRL, assuming the resulting condition is potentially deadly. But there is *a* chance, because of probabilities.

Great job sir.
Miang is actually quite powerful as the final boss, if the player lets her warm up instead of beating her too quickly.
No video game in history deals with theology in such a way
The DNA logic makes no sense in real life, cause Xenogears doesn't deals with the DNA like in real life, which is a pure biological element. In Xenogears all humans from the planet where history develops come from a bio-mechanical machine. Watching the Intro you can see during the awakening how at the bridge they are monitoring the recombination of a DNA and the expansion of the infection on the ship in the form of a electronic virus, and the crew refers to "them" . The D.E.U.S system is a combination of bio-mechanics. Those chromosomes are synthetic. These created live forms from the root, the DNA. For that reason Miang's traits are "programmed" into the the DNA of all women.
More insight:
Elehayym (the original Elly) was created by the Wave Exístence when it makes contact with Abel aboard the Eldridge. This incident provides the energy that awakes D.E.U.S.
The bio-synthetic nature of D.E.U.S allows it to recombine the genetics of Elehayym to program her into Myyah, who becomes a servant to the D.E.U.S scheming to restore itself. From that point all women in the Xenogears planet have that code of activation on their genetics that make them repositories for Miang conscience and attributes. On the other hand the Wave Existance also makes its scheming to be able to free itself, so provides a safe reincarnation of Elly and Adel.
The Zohar was a generator that extracted energy from another dimension, inside of it there was a bio-mechanic computer called de Kadomoni. In the first test of the Zohar, it proved that could provide infinite energy, so when it was tested to the max an entity from that dimension got trapped inside the Zohar. Later the Zohar became the battery to provide energy to the bio-weapon D.E.U.S.
Actually, it makes plenty of sense. First and foremost, we have to understand the definitions of "biological," "biomechanical," and "cyborg (cybernetic organism)." _Biological_ refers simply to living organisms; _biomechanical_ refers to the movement and structure of a living organism; and _cyborg (cybernetic organism)_ refers to a life form possessing both organic and biomechatronic (metal and wire/prosthetic) body parts. From this, we can say with certainty that every human being does, in fact, qualify as both biological and biomechanical, so when you use the phrase "a combination of bio-mechanics" you clearly mean a cyborg (cybernetic organism).
It's also necessary to understand that the "Alpha-1" and "Omega-1" referred to in the opening movie are, respectively, the biological computer (i.e., brain) Kadmony and the Deus System, which are both connected to and powered by Zohar. Further, the crew were reading out code and prefacing it with the source (e.g., "Omega-1, restarting"). From that, we can know that when one crewmate says, "Alpha-1, restructuring" and "confirming exon replacement" when we see the DNA sequence, this means the biological computer (brain) Kadmony was being reprogrammed (in _Perfect Works,_ this reprogramming is clarified as being from 'Elehaym' [Deus deactivated] to 'Miang Hawwa' [Deus activated]). Thus the opening movie is about the Deus System waking up and taking control of the _Eldridge_ by way of hacking the ship's main computer, Raziel, and nothing more.
Upon surviving its fall to the planet, but badly damaged, the Deus System determines to repair itself using biological material. This is a wise move, as its limited resources would mean that biological material could be farmed and molded and farmed again relatively quickly and cheaply compared to mining ores to make alloys. However, the only survivor of the _Eldridge's_ destruction and crash is Abel, and obviously he's not enough. So Miang Hawwa uses the "Animus" material from the reprogrammed biological computer Kadmony to create Cain and the Gazel, who in their turn use the "Animus" material from Kadmony to begin the process of creating, raising, and eventually breeding biological matter suitable for repairing Deus. The manipulation of genetic inheritance (selective breeding, cloning, etc.) is something humans have done for millennia (e.g., dogs, horses); it's a form of genetic reprogramming, and arguably doesn't qualify as synthetic-if it did, a modern domesticated dog would have to be considered a creation of synthetic chromosomes.
However, the key here is that since Miang Hawwa _and_ the first humans come from the biological computer Kadmony, that's why all humans are, in fact, entirely biological themselves and how women can possess the Ouroboros gene that could cause them to become Miang.
Lol..I Download this using an emulator on my Samsung J2, was litterly over powered because I could not Forward Jump, but plenty ways passing the stage in a tricky way.....man i loved this game as much as Chrono Cross
Evil sounds like an overreaction. At the end of the day, all these god like entities spawned from a biological computer, yes? So it's all about emotionless efficiency
Miang DID want to have emotions though.
@@Kira22558 i think she wanted to be a mother figure right
At the end, you say most Xeno series' vilains have backstory to make them more sympathic, justifying their action... But Miang doesn't have... To be fair, she does have a reason, and it's perfectly legit : her role is to awaken deus back by making sure everything is set in place, in motion... She has to bring everything and everyone in their respective place and purpose. Everything else have absolutely no meaning, or impact for her. Honestly, if you had to do everything back again that numerous time, you would be like her for sure - not dying, vanishing, combining, or whatever makes her purpose fulfilled must be such a pain and sorrow. She is kind of a program \ AI too, so it's hard to know if she is just really feeling or something, instead of just going straight to where she got to go without emotions. The fact she gets a human female body makes us think more of her as a similar entity as us (feelings, needs, envy, egocentrism, love, hate) instead of a kind of being working like a program (have to do to complete the task without thinking of itself in the process). Living endlessly would break most of us, wishing there was an end somewhere - not that I can be sure of, but especially since she is responsible of them all and the fact that "changes" or "plan evolution" takes so long every time and everything must be maddening!
Miang Kefka 2024
You can absolutely have two or more X chromosomes. they are genetic anomalies, which just reinforces the story.
Also, i dont think Miang is evil. her consciousness has existed for 10000 years, and undoubtedly has a wholly different level of perception and purpose.
Let's see... roughly 1000 Miangs in 10,000 years? Each one only lasted about ten on average.
Technically "999" as she incarnated (or well "recombined") with Elly near the end of the game! Can't count Ouroboros as 1000 since it was more Miang's true form then her "incarnating". So she's only incarnated 999 times (starting from when the first Elly as stated died, the one she split off from that was made for the first Contact Abel).
I think the ten years is more on how far they're usefulness at that point is then because of life-span reasoning (unless I made a mistake on that part). Remember that despite not being able to kill herself, she is good at loophole abuse via "getting others or the world itself (as in "environment") to do it for her when she needs it!" and she has "very scare luck in her incarnations around Fei's cycle" (Incarnating as his mother was a stroke of luck, same with Elly at the end of the game as she could have incarnated as Maria...but I'm guessing Elly being her "missing Half" and all assured she would incarnate as her the moment her current body "DIED NEAR HER!")
@@paulman34340 "Roughly 1000 Miangs" does not mean "exactly 1000 Miangs".
Being off by one is well within the margin of error I gave myself.
Where Tetsuya Takahashi drew this ideas?
Please make more videos Bout xenogears. Thanks bud
