I want to say thank you, I watched your vid on sand casting and it changed my life literally. I’m so pleased with what I have made. Really appreciate you sharing your knowledge and you have a great and natural teaching style.
Hey Andrew, wasn't sure which video I should ask this question on but here it is. If I make a component in wax (for example a bead cap), if I decided I wanted to make a single mould that branches off multiple copies of the same wax component, how would I make such a mould? How do I reproduce the main wax compliment multiple times. Sorry if that sounds confusing. Basically 1 component with multiple sprues of the same component, for mass production
I have seen lost wax casting done before with encasing the wax object in what looks like clay and then fired in an oven or kiln on a history documentary about the romans is there more to it ? I ask because I would like to try lost wax casting but can't afford equipment like this
hia andrew do you use a DeBubblizer on your wax before you pour investment over it.im trying to make my own a few drops of finish rinse aid mixed with water in a spray.or do we need to do this.
Hi if you don't mind me asking what is your ventilation situation like indoors? I just got a whole vacuum casting setup and was wondering if it's safe to do the actual casting inside? My shop is down in my basement and I'm not sure how much ventilation I can set up at the moment
Hi Andrew, I love At the Bench and your intro vlog on wax carving. I would also love to have more vlog info on the carving process. It's hard to find. A ring, beginning to end, for example. Thanks!
good one again always like the vlogs a day in the life of a busy jeweller, have a good holiday you are supposed to forget about work take it easy take care all the best
I have just purchased my own kiln a few months back, and have recently found out that it can’t take the wax. The rules said I can only burn my mold after the wax is ejected out of it. How to I deal with this issue? How am I supposed to get the wax out without using the kiln?
Honestly I don’t know why exactly. But there’s a UA-cam video talking about this exact model, and she states clearly that it can’t handle the wax. But I can’t find any further explanation else where, as to why. Not even the manual that came with it makes mention of “don’t do this” with wax.
@@Atthebench sorry for asking this on such a old video but i was wandering what model's of kiln you have cus im in need of a smaller and bigger kiln for large projects but iv struggled to find any of good decent quality so i was wandering if you would reccomend your kilns and if so what make and model they are thank you if you see this.
I'm going to push back against you. I don't think that it's true at all that you don't like _going_ on holiday. I think that you don't like the period leading _up to_ going on holiday. Just sayin'.

How does the vacuum effect the metal? Pulls through the investment cast? Is it porous like a sponge?
Do you need a lot more ventilation in a room to have a paragon oven and the casting equipment?

I am in the process of making a 9.25 belt buckle on lost wax casting but I don't have a kiln. What do you recommend me to do?

Can’t take the wax? What kiln is it?
@@Atthebench I have the Rapidfire Pro-L kiln
@@keithgwynn2200 So why can't you melt wax out in that kiln?

So what would you do in this situation?
I felt for you and your family at the loss of your sofa, very ☹️. I thought you were hasty it letting it go, I saw another 5 years life in it. 😂😂
Dear Sir How much water for plaster?
It depends on how much investment powder you have
Sir, I have 1 kilogram of gypsum, how much water should be added
Can a homemade oven be possible...
I also don't like taking vacations. I am pestered with thoughts of things I need to do, and cannot relax. I am more at ease whilst at work.

How many times can you melt on a graphite crucible before is no longer usable.
Depends. No set amount, sorry.
