2024 Toyota Tacoma on the Dyno VS 3rd gen Tacoma on the Dyno

  • We just got our 2024 Toyota Tacoma the day before and we are putting the truck on the dyno today. We plan to modify the Tacoma as soon as possible so we wanted to get dyno numbers while it was still stock. The results from the dyno is amazing! The 2024 Tacoma is putting out as much torque as a V8 Tundra, which is insane.
    Follow us as we modify our 2024 Toyota Tacoma and bring awesome products to market for these trucks.

    Great video. Had the older gen Tundra and went to the 4th gen and WOW on the torque and HP gain. Looks like the Tacoma is in the same boat. Still great to see it proven via a Dyno test even if the results are not too surprising. Assuming you own that Tacoma I'm looking forward to seeing the modifications.

    317 ft-lbs advertised vs. 307 on the dyno is only like a 3.2 % loss at the wheels. There's normally a 25 - 30 % loss at the wheels which would put it at 237 ft-lbs at best. It makes you think that Toyota is underrating the torque of the new Tacoma engine.

    • @jgm113
      @jgm113 7 місяців тому

      The v6 is rated at 265 pound feet and had about a 15% loss. It looks cold where they're at which helps on boosted powertrains but that turbo is putting in work.

    It also has more torque way lower in rpm. Think i heard them say 1700rpm is near peak torque, which is incredible. All of this means nothing if it lost reliability, though. A lot of people are concerned about it. I'll wait for 2025 or 2026 model before i even consider it. Great video, and thanks!
