      100% correct….TM marketing mistake.
While we’re at it (for me): 1.) give me some decent range…needs a larger fuel tank. 2.) How about some real leather seats instead of vinyl.

The loss of rear seat room, under seat storage and the insane price of the Pro is a deal breaker for me. I will be following your builds as I plan of selling my 14 Tundra for a 2025 Tacoma next year. Thanks for the honest and informative critiques!

Lots of people giving there negative opinions on the TRD PRO because of the back seat and the prices that are to high for a Tacoma. But what the TRD PRO is for an exclusive buyer a nitch group of people that are hardcore off-roaders an that can afford the trd pro is not meant for people that can’t afford it an cry about it.nor people that aren’t going to off road it like it should. Now many of you are going to say i rather buy me a zr2 bison or a ranger raptor hey if that’s you than by all means do it no one is stopping you but see the difference is that the TRD-PRO is going to give you a little bit of both world vehicle. Even though the Tacoma trd pro sits in the middle of the pack the plus side of the trd pro is going to be it’s resale value not like the other 2 and another plus is it’s more exclusively because of the 2 seater and that’s why the Tacoma is more expensive and it’s more exclusive and on top of that because of the isodynamic seats so it more exclusive you’re paying for quality. For the lucky few that have had the chance to drive a trd pro like me they know why TRD-PRO is the top dog to beat heck that’s what I called exclusive quality.😎👍🏽 there’s going to be lots of naysayers people with there negative comments, reviews, heck I even throw in some youtuber out there too that all they do is cry about it but the moment they get behind the wheel of a trd pro there whole mindset changes lol 😆 is like night and day difference people are naive an ignorant to judge right away with out even knowing the facts. The mind is a blissful place not to think other wise. 😎😈💀

I recently checked out the 2024 Tacoma TRT off-road with the premium package and oh my gosh! Unless you truly care about having the isodynamic seats, hybrid engine, red interior, not having to build your truck as much from factory, then you are more than fine on purchasing a TRD OffRoad in the premium package with everything that comes with. That was a nice video, thank you!! I would lean on the side of being a poser that wants the TRD Pro "look" without the extra $$s. However, what is ticking me off is that there is no rear seat ventilation in the Tacomas. So, I am debating Taco vs Tundra. I prefer the Taco size, drivability and especially parkability vs the Tundra. What is your opinion between the two vehicles with respect to my concerns as you have ready access to both? Does the safety system / sensors make my concerns moot?

Heart says Pro, brain and wallet say Off Road. I currently own a 2014 Off Road purchased new. It’s moderately optioned for that year. I never really use half of the stuff on it regularly and it’s a daily, I’m close to pulling the trigger on a new Taco and I’m going Off Road. I’m going back and forth on hybrid vs not. @@TRDJon Don't get me wrong. New tacoma was at the top of my list when I was figuring out which mid-size offroad truck to get this year. Coming from 16 years of BMW sports cars, I looked at the full mid-size roster without bias. Toyota's cult following keeps them from having to actually be competitive in that market. I want Tacoma to succeed, but I also want Toyota to come back to reality between the cost of their trims, what's standard in a trim, and cost of their upgrade packages.

Agree with you…on a cost basis the newer Toyota models are overpriced compared to Ford or GM products. GM products for over landing and rock crawling, and the Ford for desert and high speed running.

Toyota ruined the cabs of both the Tacoma and Tundra with this generation. I think the shrinkage comes from the firewall being pushed back. I have read this was done to allow for more "soft" material in the front end for low speed pedestrian crash tests to up the safety scores. Maybe you could ask Toyota PR or engineering next time you get a chance. Regardless, the lost legroom is a major drawback in these trucks.

I test drove the TRD PRO and the RR. As a long time Tacoma fanboy the RR is by far the better truck. I decided to go RR for less money and way more capability.

LOL….Toyota should just remove the back seats from the Pro model. They’re pointless with the amount of room the Pro driver and passenger seats take up. And for the amount of money Toyota is pricing the lower models at without having soft touch panels is really really chintzy on Toyota’s part. It’s 2024 Toyota, come on! Unless you’re a hardcore off roader, have money to burn or are one of those people who need every bell and whistle just to have it, there is no reason to buy a Pro. Buy a lower priced model and customize it yourself for far less money.

Things I dislike about the TRD Pro
    1. Dumb ugly seats
    2. Automatic tailgate... really, who needs that ? I'm a man, not a 80 year old woman.
    3. Massive touchscreen and all the other tech that most people don't use.
    4. Sunroof... will never use... just asking for a leak.
    5. Lastly, massive fake hood scoop ... looks ok but anything fake is just dumb.
