As I understand it, the key to sleeping flat in a traditional hammock (without a spreader bar.) is to turn your body so that you're more perpendicular to the hanging axis. Like people in South America have been doing for a very long time. Could be wrong. Just sayin'.
You're right @sofiapetala8220. I've suffered from back pain for years and since I've been sleeping in a hammock (8+ years) my back has been great! That's even with a diagnosed spine malformation.
@@HavenTents, I think that your product is cool but this add is insincere. The backyard lounging hammock is not your competition (neither are backyard swings). Camping-hammocks and one-person ground-tents are your competition. As I am very sure that you know, camping- hammocks sleep very flat if used Diagonally. For you to compare your excellent design to a lounger looses you credibility. Imho
It is relatively expensive, but this replaces my bed, and it is way less expensive than one of those! Bonus: It goes camping too! All of the better hammocks cost way more than a lot of others. On the other hand, I have found them to not be something I would rely on for shelter.
@relaphe3271 A full question would help. My mind reader certification expired when I got divorced. If you are asking whether I use a hammock as my bed in my house, the answer is yes. After using one camping, most of my neck and back issues went away, and I chose to keep on using one.
That’s a bit misleading sadly, the hammocks with wooden spreaders at each end are a bit of a marketing stunt to look good. The real hammocks are the ones without and unless you really, really (like really) try to fall out you are pretty stable and safe. Also the banana curve isn’t really that bad, there are no pressure points when inside a hammock and you tend to not move at all. Hammocks have been used for ages on sea ships. Don’t get me wrong this company needs to make money and this is very cleverly made YT short. I’d also buy their product no doubt about it, but this vid still doesn’t give the full picture
Didn't know the top comes off like that. More interested now. Is it the same on the Safari model? My GF and I have a combined weight of 320lbs and we snuggle all night. Can the Safari accommodate us?
You need to try the hang! We do offer a backyard test guarantee. You buy the system, try it at home (away from pets and campfire smoke), and if you don't like the lay, you can return it for a full refund. We don't get many back, you'll immediately feel the difference 😴
Thats only a problem with "traditional" hammocks if you have bo clue how yo use them. With a tiny bit of knowledge they are very hard to fall out of and give a very flat lay. The straps should hang at a 30 degree angle, and then lay in the hammock at an angle. This is selling a very hravy expensive solution to a problem that doesnt exist.
no can do, falling out is my wake up call, otherwise I'd never leave. jk i don't have a hammock, always wanted one, never had spare cash just to treat myself with one, likely never will.. maybe if im lucky one day i can buy one of these.
This thing can be yours for the very low price of 500$. Maybe about 750$ with some accessories. That's pretty much nothing for something you'll be using 2 or 3 times in your life!
These kits come with a lot: Hammock, insulated air mattress, bug net, rainfly, tree straps, guy lines, and stakes! So the price isn't really comparable to a traditional gathered-end hammock. Save $25 by joining our email list!
@@funonvancouverisland These items are not expensive... you're right, but our hammock body has a lot of seam lenght and the air pad is in there too. Probably the closest comparison on value is the Amok system which is about 25% more than ours. Still we're not the super-saver hammock.
swinging causes centripetal force, so yo won't fall off, in the end of the clip, you should have tried the same way to fall out and you'll still fall, stop marketing bs
yeah similar to placing something on your hand and tilting it sideways while swinging, the object sticks to the hand vs falling straight down which it does only when you stop swinging.... i love physics
That swing test at the end is gold 😂
Love how the dog had to get in on the fun
Pro tip for traditional hammocks: just lay on a diagonal with head in one corner and feet in opposite
This guy hammocks
That explains why I’ve been so uncomfortable. I’ve had my head and feet in the same corner!
I have never layed in a hammock
Yep mark of a true hammocker
@@HighPandaaAnd it's impossible to get layed in one 😂
Traditional hammocks don't have a bar at each end and you sleep diagonally to lay flat.
Exactly. Lie diagonally and don't use spreader bars. Simple!
Don't forget to buy the 30ft Aluminum ladder accessory for ease of hanging.
This is so cute, oh my gosh. I want to watch this a million times just to remember the goodness in the world
That last swing test has me sold.
Love the concept (here I go pokin holes in things again), but how high are the anchor points set, and are they practical for the average camper?
That dog wasn't having a very good time but he was hanging out😂❤❤
Those kids love life and it’s because of you. Awesome.

Nevermind he’s laying in the hammock the wrong way… if you’re laying the right way you can be well below the anchor points without much “sag”
Those kid's almost got sent to orbit
I've never fallen out of a hammock...buttt, the flat design would be great as a stomach sleeper
the "banana" curve the hammock have is good for your back health
Yeah, no, it’s absolutely not good for everyone’s back health. I have chronic back pain and sleeping like that would be crippling for me.
You're right @sofiapetala8220. I've suffered from back pain for years and since I've been sleeping in a hammock (8+ years) my back has been great! That's even with a diagnosed spine malformation.
That hammock is actually so cool I’ve never seen anything like it
Do they make an under quilt for it because I don’t thing a traditional one would work
Those spreader bars and sleeping pad/air mattress is what’s keeping it flat. Not the anchor points
We always have to remember also to pack our ladder in our bag to tie the hammock
He almost sent his kids to the moon n down
Do they sell your hammocks in the hammock district, over on third?
I see you 😂
I'm partial to Marianne's hammocks 😉
Great hammock-tent!
Thanks, it sure is! 🌲😴🌲

Just bought one! This gonna be a game changer
Awesome, excited to join you on your adventures! Have you ever tried a hammock-tent before? 🌲😴🌲
Do you think you could send me a link by chance?
Me and my husband are thinking about getting one
Tip‐ if you're selling something, put a link or tip in the description. Maybe its just a hobby.
Not sure if they can have proper descriptions as it's a short video, I think the ad at the end might tell people they sell them
This UA-cam channel is called “Haven Tents”. Not that hard to just click on the channel to find the links to their website 🤷♂️
Mom gonna be pissed when she sees that swing
Why do you think that he is outside sleeping in a hammock? He isn't even allowed indoors on the couch 😂
Yeah that super swing at the end is a no for me lol 😂🤣🤭
Now I want it just to make it a superswing😂
This is the way. Great design. I approve 100%. This is exactly what the hammock world needed.

It's a swing that's big enough to lie down on.
It looks comfy, but how do you hang it so high in the trees?
He just dropped a kid out of a boring normal hammock to prove that his product is better and more secure now that’s… dedication.
Great video! ❤️
Thank you, glad you liked it!! 🌲😴🌲

Thank you for creating a product that works!
That tree was moving from side to side 😂 I would worry more about that falling on me
You should try to get out more
this seems fun
I thought i was about to see a dog fly for a second
If you dont have bars you xan just lay at an angle and it is flat.
I'm going to cut a couple holes in a tent and set up a hammock inside
How high were the tree straps 😳 over 12 ft? How do you get that high when outside of your home backyard?
It only took 75 years and multiple injuries and deaths!
Now we have to exchange all the old style hammocks out there with these!
Does it come with a ladder to string it up so high?
Ahhhhh! I see how it works. Thanks.
Didn't know the top comes off like that. More interested now. Is it the same on the Safari model? My GF and I have a combined weight of 320lbs and we snuggle all night. Can the Safari accommodate us?
😂that looks like fun😂
Parece muito boa. Único problema é achar para comprar aqui no Brazil
real hammock campers know you’re supposed to sleep vertically. just stand straight up and straight as a board
They are only talking about "Bridge" hammocks, which are not your traditional style of hammock, the gathered end style is the traditional variety.
This isnt accurate information in my opinion. Hammocks are built diffrent and all that I have used and are using are stable
I would love to try one, i have a couple of camping hammock with bug net and i love them but maybe your hammock is better?

They compensated for the Catenary. (For all you Engineers and Math Nerds out there)
Wow
Bring down the prices

The dog took that kid out.😅

I absolutely love your product

If so a great one. Take care and family as well. Bless.
It will be best
when you can produce them; in such a way, to bring the price down enough, that common people can afford them.
Lol wasnt flate but still cool 😂😂😂😂
Smart
wrong - anchor points should be even with the hammock
no sag, lay diagonally, it’s like a bed. you guys took a hammock and made it weight WAY too much 😂
So you compare COMPLETELY different style hammocks, they are meant for completely different things.
Also this is the heaviest hammock I have ever seen
How about big fat dudes?
300-370 range on these bad boys???
That's because you're hanging.
Instead of top heavy the weights at the bottom
Whats the price and how much can it hold
This thing can be yours for the very low price of 500$. Maybe about 750$ with some accessories. That's pretty much nothing for something you'll be using 2 or 3 times in your life!
And it only weighs 14.7 lb!
At tree was gonna snap
That's not true. A regular hammock is made to sleep at an angle to your taught line. Even with a large bend you will lie flat
80% flat isn’t 100% flat. If your bed at home laid like a gathered end hammock… you’d throw it out. We’re going for 100%. Thanks for watching ✌️
@HavenTents to be fair I think your product is great. I just also know that almost nobody sleeps in a gathered-end hammock correctly.
Buddy, i think you failed kindergarten. That was not a straight line.
That is not a traditional camping hammock.
Just sooooo expensive 😔

And this is once again why it is inarguable that this is literal best hammock/tent out there.
