Thanks for sharing, im thinking of getting that same oneor teh 12 core one with the same graphic config. Are you going to do any tests with Resolve, or other apps?

I'll go through and test with Resolve soon, but for now I did a basic graphics render test using Blackmagic RAW. Here are the results: imgur.com/gallery/g9mVUVm

Great video! what are all those thunderbolt cables connected to?

Displays - I have it connected up to 5 BenQ 27" EW2770QZ monitors for my workstation. Two of the thunderbolt 3 to thunderbolt 2 adapters connect up my 2 AKiTiO Thunder2 Quad 4-bay external storage enclosures.

@@VinceCantrell wow that's a lot of monitors. I can see why you would need a second I/O card.

I originally had planned to use the Radeon Pro Vega II for all 5 displays since it has 4 thunderbolt 3 ports and 1 HDMI port. Apple didn't specify on their site that the last thunderbolt 3 port is shared with the HDMI port so the Vega II can only output 4 displays, so I had to run the 5th display off one of the built-in thunderbolt 3 ports sadly.

What are those hard drives you put inside?

It was the Pegasus J2i enclosure built for the 2019 Mac Pro and sold by Apple - came with a Toshiba 8TB MD06ACA800V Surveillance-series drive and I threw an HGST 8TB HUH728080ALE600 enterprise drive I had laying around in it as well.

@@VinceCantrell I know the Mac Pro itself is literally silent, but can you hear those mechanical hard drives spinning inside the case?

No; the mac pro fans are louder than the hard drives. - Although I use enterprise-grade drives which tend to run quieter than consumer-grade so that might make a difference.
