The Cocky Bastard and Septimator Prime are criminally slept on snipers. The Bastard has decent base damage, and when multiplied with a crit becomes enormous. It synergizes well with Amara, Fl4k, and Zane because of their crit damage skills, but honestly can hold its own on anyone. Add a little ASE corrosive and you won't have to switch weapons at all. The Septimator on the other hand can be used for mobbing with some ammo regen (Moze, Zane, terror anoints), but for bossing it's basically a better version of the Krakatoa. When those meteors spawn it's lights out for anything weak to fire, especially when those meteors crit with Fl4k or are amped with Moze.
Hey. I was a moderator for 10 years on the now closed Gearbox forums. My avatar there had a monocle, and often, if someone was posting multiple threads on the same topic, I'd close them with the phrase 'One is enough'. Imagine my delight on seeing the Jacobs Monocle and it's red text in BL3....
Got me a monicle with the anoint 150% damage increase on targets above 90% HP, that shit one shots pretty much anything w a crit fl4k build, personally for me a notable kill is a mayhem 10 anointed in one shot
@@armyofninjas9055 Doubt. The Monocle is essentially the Hawkeye from BL2 but actually good: Its properties are absurdly high crit multiplier and zoom. The Krakatoa has raw damage but much less crit. So the oneshot is mostly due to the Monocle's absolutely ridiculous headshot multiplier.
On that note, a Monocle is possibly one of the best legendary drops for a sniper going into the mayhem levels. The M0 version can gib enemies in low mayhems just fine.
The sandhawk is my "emergency panic" button when im down. Right before i used it i asked... "whats so special about this sniper?" I use it on semi auto majority of the time.
To anyone watching, I highly recommend the ASMD. It's a mobbing master, huge splash radius and millions of damage - you can kill entire Cartel beacon spawners with only one explosion. Best on Fl4k in my experience.
No way, the ASMD is fucking insane. Hip-fire the slow orb, then scope and fire the bolt at it and there'll be a huge explosion for millions of damage. I used Fl4K with 3-shot fade away, re-volter, and a 150/90 anoint. I was killing 5/6 enemies per explosion.
@@jesserushing1377 ASMD is one of my favorite additions, as they stole it from super old Unreal Tournament's 'Shock Rifle". In that FPS deathmatch, if you were familiar with the map, timed firing the slow orb well to intersect with a hapless player, or group, then use the Shock Rifles primary precision rail beam, it functioned much as the ASDM, causing the Orb in UT to AoE explode, fragging a player, or whole groups instantly. So in principle I love the ASDM as mechanically one of the coolest weapons. In practice however, it's super noobcaked, allowing ginormous orbs compared to UT's orbs, and hilariously ASDM makes every player a super railgun god, as the mega orb near impossible to miss still detonates into annihilation, so long as you fire somewhere in the general direction, hey, well, close enough... uh, probably. And I mean annihilation if the blast hits barre, trash piles. Against a wave of scag pups - one may never know. Even after they gave ASDM a tremendous buff, one of the most pathetic pieces of trash. If anyone recalls Unreal Tournament Shock Rifle, raping players, if you weren't actually surgical fast pace chaos....sayonara, mother f**ker. Gearbox clearly doesn't think much of the scrubs playing BL3, but it was a cool nod at least of a satisfying play mechanic, despite Gearbox's inept abomination.
bcs of zane (and others but mainly zane) complex root is the best weapon in the game. Its not only 1 shooting bosses, but the whole map which sand hawk cant do in the slightest, plus it burns through ammo way too fast and the reload time dosent help it. Other thing to mention is the projectile pattern of the sand hawk, its very wide and slow moving which makes moving enemies very hard to hit.
I agree that Root + Eraser + Hustler with double splash rolls on Zane is the most disgusting thing in the game but I feel the Sand Hawk is an easier weapon to dominate with across the vault hunters.
Cocky bastard and malak's bane are fun too. Those jakobs hunt(er)/hunt(ed) rifles too for the extra multiplier. Even the purple ones are pretty cool to mess around with
10:00 - Imaginary numbers ARE the square root of -1. Not any negative number. Although the general idea is the same. i squared = -1. i to the fourth = 1. :) And.....the square root of dmg would be LESS damage. For example, the square root of 4 is 2. Which is less than 4 lol.
If you use number 5 (expert storm) with Zane’s clone you pretty much get 2x-3x the dmg which is always fun. I got that weapon without knowing its potential. I love it
Did the complex root get nerfed? It doesn’t seem to do as much damage as it used too (very minimal explosions). Also it only has a 6 bullet mag size now for some reason
So fun to see these end game top 10 lists. While some excellent snipers, agree with other’s as they’re my least used gun type w each having a major drawback, imo. Appreciate the pet snail reference, Welsh ppl do love their cockles. Crack on!
the storm would be a nice weapon but the drawback is it needs to charge before it can shoot so you will be holding the trigger for multiple seconds which means your enemy can land some hits and maybe interrupt your attacks. if it was a click and shoot like normal guns it would easilly be the best
Here is something to try. Amara using the Storm with her fire action skill equipped. It will ocassionally trigger the effect of the Firestorm sniper. You're welcome.
Can't believe the headsplosion isn't on the list. I don't think there's any way the firestorm is better than the headsplosion. Headsplosion, Storm, and Sandhawk are typically the only ones I carry, though Root, Skullmasher, and Boogeyman are all also good.
Firestorm and the Storm both got buffed independently from the sniper buff, so that their relative orbs do much better damage. So I'm not surprised they're up there.
I'm so glad the storms got the love they deserve this is what we wanted from the storm in bl2 and never got it. I almost thought we wouldn't see it in 3 either but they did them both justice
I've found a lot of success with the Sand Hawk and Boogeyman with my Moze, and the Skullmasher with my Fl4k, but aside from those, I don't use too many sniper rifles myself, either.
@@derekcwly I haven't had any success with any of the snipers in the end game, playing through they were fine. Just today I had a Boogeyman with Infernal Wish on my Zane and I ran out of bullets before I could kill an anointed on Mayhem 11. I did struggle even with normal mobs with that Boogeyman and Infernal.

This is a weird list I gotta say. Firestorm doesnt do a fraction of the damage of Krakatoa. I have a lvl 60 Krakatoa that out dps' my lvl 70 firestorm, by miles. both mayhem 10. In fact, Krakatoa seems to hit harder than anything else ive come across. i never see it on any lists?
Have anyone here a hustler class mod with Splash damage/Radius? I Farm for it for Weeks but dont get it. i am on ps4. I would Trade with you if you want. Thank you very much for answer.
Yeah I lent the storm to my gf but . Grabbing it back lol the damage is amazing most of the time I don't even aim I just shot the orbs all around so no enemy escapes the orbs and they basically get shock locked and can't move lol it's great for crowd control as well the storm that is
