Hello Eeco ! Great pianoplaying as always by You, Very nice solid and firm bassline, a great tune with a lot of that old bluesy feeling.... I Love It My friend !!!! I read here that You play from Your heart and soul , I know exactly what You mean :-)) I play that way to..... :-)) Thanks to luvperu 1 ( Polly ) for the share ! Standing ovations from, Mange in Sweden
Hi there ! Stellar performance AS PER USUAL !! Aw man, PLAY those blues ! Do you sing ? All you need is a Ray Charles voice behind that. We all get the blues sometime - and this is the antidote ! Sing 'em !
@luvperu1 Hi :) yes the music comes from the heart, but mostly from the soul inside..every person has its own spirit and sooner or later it has to come out..thats the beauty of expressing yourself true music.. Eeco
Just love that. I will replay it many times but how do you manage to keep it going without being boringly repetative? Is it all spontaneous or do you have a sketch in your head of which 12 bars follows which and where do you throw in a break, a bass run or whatever? BJ
Aw dude! This song is real real fresh! What were the chords you used in the intro? Maybe some inverted 9ths or something? You gotta do a tutorial on this one. By far one of the best songs I have heard you do, ever...
@snakehips81 thanks fot the kind words! I sing but Im still improving it..I still need to develope a good solid voice for the boogie woogie/blues/jazz..do you play the piano ?? have a good day! Eeco
HeyI like the chord changes (C, A7, D7 G7). For practical advice, do you play A7 with the same bassline as that one you use in C, the sixth with the thumb? I plan to publish a video of my version of Pinetops boogie if you may be interested to watch it. /Alexander
Beautiful. Do you have an exorcises that help you achieve left-hand/right-hand independence? That is my main problem. I can do either hand, but I am bad at putting them together. They always seem to have a mind of there own. Thanks.
@Manges1967 hmm thats a long time. I used to play a lot of classic when I was young but since I heard and learned more about boogie woogie, blues and jazz, classic is not my thing anymore. I can read music but I rather not, I learn most of my songs by ear or by heart. Do you also play in a band? I play in a small band since 2007. piano, drums, bluesharp and we play mostly in germany but when I play solo I tour around europe so thats nice :)
@Dmain1Event its always good to have a easy start , for example with the blues. Just use chords in the right hand and a easy left hand blues then you can do a experiment with the right hand with changing tempo or rythm changes..I know it takes a lot of time but I can assure you after some good practise you will get that groove you wanted..my lessons are giving people a help in the good direction but its the person itself who has to use his/her imagination , good luck! Eeco
@freakyhead20 Yeah man, that intro was super bad! I know its just a few chords, but it sounds so good. I tutorial would be amazing! Some of your melodic ideas are just phenomenal, and like somebody said previously, you take something kind of simple and make it complicated, your ideas never get boring. I seem to just use the same scale (C major blues) and it does get repetitive. I do like your left hand tutorial videos a lot, but your right hand stuff is much more fresh and original! Love it!
@freakyhead20 I have been playing piano for 25 years , I am self learned and play most styles there is, everything from Rock , to Barock Lol ... Hahahhaa ... I dont read sheets at all ! But I manage anyway in some peculiar way ... Lol Hhahaha :-)) Mange....
@freakyhead20 - Hi Eeco ! Yes, I play, but nowhere near your standard OR authenticity. I have some UA-cam videos of me playing piano / e.piano amongst all my guitar ones. Checkout Snakehips Boogie, Piano Blues and Blues in C. Need to do some more. Been working on Big Maceo's Texas Stomp. Would like to have that good enough to gig.
Fantastic
