    🌴 well how cool was that , most of the ponds around my place are closed off or to hard to access, and I don’t fish fresh water since I started fishing salt , but it looked like a lot of fun . Tight lines 👍🏼✌🏼

    • @Eric.Estrada
      @Eric.Estrada  2 роки тому

      Haha, it's a lot of fun. technically this is brackish water. That's why we were chasing jacks, and usually get into some tarpon and snook there too.

      @@Eric.Estrada I’ve never checked so what are fishing laws for fishing brackish ? Is it considered fresh or salt ? 🤔

      haha, nah. I have a bike problem. I have 2 mountain bikes, the bmx bike, a dirt jumper, my old school GT, an 80s mongoose bmx scooter. This is my 27.5" MTB that I have just to mess around, and a back up if my carbon 29r is getting serviced. I'm planning on adding an ebike cruiser for this type of stuff just to open up more range. 😂

    Good video and advice. In general baitfish don't sacrifice themselves to bigger fish. Always try to make your fly look like what you are throwing in action and ACT like it too. By that I mean flee from predators, drop and try to hide, or like certain things (dragonflys) sit on the water fairly motionless. They don't swim into the predators mouth.

      haha, it's all good. I've never broken a rod. Ed did in one of these videos, I think the Pacu one.

    You can't move a fly too fast for a peacock... If it chases Do Not Stop... move the fly faster, take it away from him.

    • @Eric.Estrada
      @Eric.Estrada  2 місяці тому +1

      That's not true for big fish. I actually fish it a lot slower for big fish and get the 5-7lbers to take the fly better with a slow, but rapid jerk. I move the fly slowly, then twitch the rod tip and it jerks the fly past them, then stops. do that a couple times and they'll actually eat it, eliminating a lot of the short strikes and misses.
