Congrats to your first snake on the fly brother. Strange watching you walk the bank. LOL!

I know, right? Felt weird not getting yelled at by a Karen in so long, so had to get out there on foot. Totally got a woman to pull over and yell EXCUSE ME... while I was loading up the truck to leave.

I ate peacock bass in the Amazon cooked over an open fire. It was excellent. They just served it with some little skinny green chili peppers and lime and salt.

Never tried fly fishing because I thought it was more stationary.... might have to try it out one of these days

It's a blast, even if you don't catch anything. You can work on your casting. streamer fishing is much like bait casting, very active, run and gun type of fishing and the strikes are usually vicious.

Do you think a 8 weight would be fine for fishing multispecies in florida (snakehead peacock and regular bass) I want to start fly fishing.

Yeah an 8wt is a really good all around rod for everything in SoFla. Even redfish, bonefish, snook, and small tarpon.
