Great explanation, thank you very much! This will be my first show using the Cobra system. I was leaning towards your ematch alternative but now I may use the Talon igniters and duct tape them on. I build my show and then travel with it so this will be a great way to secure my cakes.
Does Cobra make any type of reusable igniters. From what I see online, the Talon igniters are single use but is there any reusable ones on the market? Btw love yours videos
Quick question for you Scott. Do you recommend putting the talon clip on closer to the tip of the fuse, that way if something happens and the talon goes off but does not ignite the fuse then you can light the cake by hand? Or have you had any issues putting the talon right up against the fuse & cake and covering with tape and as long as continuity was there it fired? Just curious which way you see more people connecting them for there fireworks shows and having success with the talons. Thanks

the ignition was pretty instant unlike what was explained in the comparison video of talons vs MJG
How many of these can you work into a single cue (multiple wires in the same red and black) on an 18 cue module?
Hey Scott, will these work with the little 47mah battery firing systems as well?

The closer you clip to the effect, the shorter the fuse burn time and the faster your effect will go off. This is a common practice and OK.
what gauge nichrome is that?
Where do you purchase these?
Are the talon igniters reusable
Well explained. Thx from Germany,,,
very good video :)
Are them wires a 1 time use an can you make your own
Dj Morgan The Talons are one time use. Unfortunately you cannot manufacturer them on your own.
Are the clips reusable? Or a one user per?
One time use.
+Scott Smith Thanks for the fast response
Are the clips reusable?
No. I wouldn't recommend it. Talons are cheap (about $0.50) and not worth the risk of ruining your show because you cheaped out on a used igniter.
If the filament is still intact I keep them to do testing on new products
